05/07/2026: We were nearly put off by some negative reviews but so glad we came for lunch This is a locals place- lovely relaxed Sunday lunch by the sea with waves breaking over the rocks just next to our window table Service was superb in a relaxed Italian way Food really tasty - we had mixture of starters then mussels (melt in the mouth) and mixture of seafood pasta Two beautiful bottles of wine 5 beers and water all for €186 for six of us Really recommend Plus next to a nice little beach - what’s not to love!!!

14/06/2026: The restaurant/pizzeria has enormous potential, being located right on the sea. Based on this specific experience, the service isn't commensurate with the location: we ordered soft drinks and water, but the latter arrived on the third request, after 20 minutes; an appetizer course arrived 35 minutes later after much insistence; a long wait for a swordfish steak, which finally arrived after the appetizers and pizzas, not with the main courses; never a waiter or a manager circulating among the tables to ensure everyone is okay. The pizza is decent if you like the thin crust variety. Overall, the appetizers aren't bad, but the quantity wasn't to my liking. It's a shame, because, I repeat, the ambiance and, above all, the location are absolutely superb.

12/08/2026: This morning we stopped for coffee after a quick errand. A random bar...and we accidentally wandered into Caffè Martin. We ordered two Lecce coffees and a regular coffee; the bartender very elegantly suggested we try a slightly different Lecce coffee. I won't reveal the "secret" ingredient because it's a must-try, as the flavor it imparts on the almond milk is delicate, light, and pleasant. For coffee lovers, it's highly recommended in every recipe.

05/02/2026: Pastry shop near the main square. It's known for its excellent coffee and excellent pastries (especially the delicious pasticciotti with various fillings), as well as for its cakes available for any occasion. The place is very clean and spacious, roughly divided between the dining area (including table service) and the artisanal workshop. The furnishings aren't brand new, but they're more than decent and well-maintained. The owner, Mr. Carlo, is very polite, affable, and brilliant. Prices are average. Highly recommended, especially for the legendary pasticciotti! 👍

06/07/2026: With all due respect, the pizza was absolutely not good. The price was high, the quality of the pizza was poor, very salty, and when we got home they had made a mistake in making one pizza. I will never go back.

17/06/2026: A historic restaurant with simple, bold flavors and a touch of yesteryear. It's impossible to objectively judge the location or the preparation of the dishes: the restaurant is family-run and exudes love in everything they do. A tourist passing through Mesagne simply has to try Carlino's meatballs in tomato sauce or pork chop sandwich!

30/07/2026: Location: 10/10 (beautiful, spacious café in a remote area of ​​Ceglie Messapica, with plenty of indoor seating and modern decor). Menu: 9/10 (the croissant was very good). Service: 8/10 (the two staff were friendly). The bill: 10/10 (excellent).

14/08/2026: Sadly not a good experience here. As I wanted to order a calamari and shrimp dish, they said they were sold out of calamari, I said no worries I will just order the shrimp, after 45-50 mins my 4 pieces of shrimp arrived, smelled horrible and once I peeled it open, I saw that it was not properly cleaned and the intestines of the shrimp was everywhere. I could not eat it. Once I let the staff know, the owner went to another table, started talking about us and pointing to us and obviously bad mouthing us. He said that it was too late to return the food which after 45 mins of waiting, it took me 5-6 mins to realize I don’t like my food. I ended up paying but not eating. Horrrrrible service from the owner or manager whoever it was. Our waiter was a kind lady and my complaint is not towards her

The pizzas are decent, and the fritters are plentiful. Service isn't the fastest, but the woman who served us was extremely kind and helpful.

18/07/2026: The pizza is good, but it's scorching hot on the veranda, and the wooden chairs with no cushions aren't helping. I recommend the menu; the fritters are delicious, but there's no coffee, and in my opinion, a pizzeria has to have a coffee machine.
