24/05/2026: Disappointing. Typical dishes, but actually not typical. Everything was extremely spicy. At checkout, the cashier pretended to make a mistake when giving change (in his favor). It happened to me and, shortly before, to a tourist couple who were paying by POS. How can you make a mistake?!

11/05/2026: A splendid location in the historic center of Lecce, and welcoming and professional staff. Top marks. Unfortunately, the food was mixed. We had the fried fish as an appetizer, and it was worth it: dry and flavorful. The orecchiette with turnip greens were perfectly cooked and flavorful, but one of the two main courses deserved a lower rating. The octopus in tomato sauce with crouton was very good, but the roasted octopus in fava bean sauce was dry and stringy. They were kind enough to offer us coffee. An appetizer, a first course, two main courses (octopus), and a half liter of wine cost €75. Correct.

14/05/2026: Fixed menu on Sundays and holidays, appetizer with 12 different tastings, first course of seafood or meat, second course of fish or roast, side dish of salad or chips, choice of drinks, dessert, all excellent for only €35, if you don't pay much attention to the place I'd say it's excellent.

At first, I actually walked past it a few times because, from the outside, the entrance looks incredibly small and unassuming. But exactly this little passageway to the back leads into beautiful, spacious, traditional dining rooms — the kind you could hardly imagine any more charming in Italy. The lovingly designed outdoor area is also a real highlight: in the garden, you can sit peacefully and comfortably, almost as if you were in a small pizza and grill paradise. The pizzas are simply outstanding. The dough is light, easy to digest, and full of wonderful flavor. 09/04/2026: Quick lunch during the week without booking. Everyone was available to serve us as the room was almost deserted due to the time (2:45 pm). 1 appetizer chips with excellent sauces, 2 assassina, 1 with starcciatella. Good portion, abundant but a little dry. Water and coffee 37 euros. I will return to try the pizza and even a better assassina.

06/06/2026: Very centrally located. The atmosphere is very welcoming, both aesthetically and in terms of the staff: truly exceptional hospitality. The fresh fish counter offers well-prepared dishes in generous portions, followed by complimentary appetizers of crudités, prosciutto, and baked delicacies... And a grand finale with scattered desserts. In short: exceptional.

15/02/2026: Dr. Maiellari and I love their meat dishes and a variety of vegetables (especially great for us because we're on a diet and can indulge there guilt-free), the food cooked with time-honored mastery, and the ambiance and service are top-notch. The owner, Pino, and all the very kind and attentive waiters offer us excellent and flavorful dishes. Fast service. You can order takeout for both lunch and dinner. The deli and butcher shop are open to the public. Wonderful!!!

08/05/2026: I grew up in this bar as a teenager, and I've seen how, first my father, Peppino, who started the bar, and then his children, made this place worthy of fame. The pastry is top-notch, and their friendliness is truly impeccable. Over the years, they've done a sublime job of bringing the bar to the highest levels. Always highly recommended!

02/05/2026: Last night we spent a pleasant evening at this excellent restaurant in San Pietro in Bevagna. The atmosphere was lovely, no crowds, good music, excellent food, and friendly service. The sea urchin appetizer and fried fish were all excellent.
