Osteria La Sparacima In Ostuni

The environment is certainly very refined and the staff friendly. Very particular combinations of the dishes on the menu. Despite the name, I wouldn't say it's exactly a tavern, but rather a real restaurant. Prices slightly above average in Ostuni.

Very friendly, it's like feeling at home. Excellent food, local proposals also for wine. The desserts are also excellent. It deserves it.

In the splendid Ostuni, walking through the alleys I found an exceptional tavern, La Sparacima, the staff and owners make you feel at home. As an appetizer I had the cod meatballs in stew which was wonderful while my husband had a carpaccio of porcini mushrooms of sublime quality. Then we both ate the orecchiette with sauce with a delicious grated cheese to finish with a cherry tart. What can I say..... and at the end a touch of true mastery, the owner takes a photo of us with a Polaroid to remember a beautiful moment. 🔝

No kids option on the menu but other than that, very good.

This osteria was just off the main square but quite quiet (people not music ) when we visited. You could hear the music from another place which included a lot of songs we wouldn't choose...like Boney M!! Lovely outside area. While the meal was very nice overall I wasn't totally impressed for a couple of reasons. The food didn't arrive at the same time. I had my sides getting cold while others were eating, before my lamb eventually arrived, after I had asked where it was. Also beer was sold in a 75cl bottle looking like champagne in a bucket at €15!!!! I know we didn't have to drink beer and it was very nice indeed but it's worth noting. I didn't look up the 'off the shelf' price of it. It was €188 for 4 meals, two courses, 2 beers, water and 1 glass of house wine. You also probably pay a premium for the central location although it's set down a bit from the main square.

Sparacima is the place of the heart, the Chef Tonio's cuisine is a perfect match between excellent raw materials and traditional but never predictable preparations. When we have to recommend a restaurant in Ostuni we have no doubts!

Lovely place for diner on the terrasse with small table, and a small candle to enlight the table. The food is good, the calamari stewed for hours in tomato sauce was tasty and the ink pastas very good. Becareful Italian dishes tends to be a bit salty if you are not used to. For ordering food do not hesitate to call for the waiter/waitress since during our diner they were not proactively caring for us (working on something else, talking between them, not looking at us)

Really nice restaurant right in the heart of Ostuni’s historic centre. Just down a few steps from the main square the restaurant serves typical apulian food with little local twists and prepared very well. Obviously an accomplished chef in the kitchen. Portions are generous but not excessive. The restaurant is also very reasonably priced and this place is not a tourist trap price wise unlike the coffee shops and restaurants at the top of the stairs facing the main square. Service is great and friendly in what is obviously a family restaurant. Great choice for Ostuni.
