05/06/2025: Beautifully located restaurant by the sea. A bit on the higher end, but well worth the price for the ambiance and the quality of the food. We had spaghettone with shrimp and slow-cooked pork belly. Both were very tasty, and the service was attentive.

19/04/2025: A beautiful discovery. We went for lunch, certainly aesthetically from the outside it is not exceptional, but the food makes up for the aesthetics. The waiters were really kind and attentive to our needs. Elaborate but tasty dishes, you can perceive every single ingredient.

14/06/2025: Nice restaurant but not a top one... we chose the classic menu suggestion.. €38 for a starter with orecchiette, main course 3 small pork sausages from the grill and a bowl of mixed salad, a panacota or crème vanilla after.. paid a bit too much money for what you get. Furthermore, friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere.

21/05/2025: Be careful if you're an Erasmus student because you're the last monkey in this club, especially if you arrive late. The only time I went, they sold our tickets and denied us entry due to capacity when we got to the door. They made no effort to control the entrance and the crowd of Italians and Erasmus students trying to get in, so an Italian ended up fighting with the Spaniards. It sent me to the hospital. I don't recommend it. Edit: I don't know exactly what images the club is referring to, but if they have any of me, all you'll see is their bouncers with their arms crossed while they assaulted me. On the other hand, I assure you that the police have the true story of that night, so I advise you not to lie or insinuate that I caused any mishap. Best regards.

10/05/2025: Excellent pizza, with very good products in a pleasant atmosphere and setting in the heart of Casarano. The service is quality and we advise you to go for the absolutely delicious hazelnut/pistachio “spumone”. We absolutely recommend this restaurant.

29/04/2025: On our itinerary, in search of the most evocative villages of Salento, after visiting Specchia, we passed through Ruffano, where the butcher's shop, at Saverio's, hosted us and our furry friend and delighted us with the local specialities, authenticity, hospitality and courtesy are the most appropriate words to describe the owners. The menu is refined, with creative dishes and quality products. The owners are very competent, professional, friendly and always available, ready to respond to the customer's needs and to advise. A real added value, which makes this place truly special. If you are looking for a place to eat well and feel at home, Il Carbonaio is the perfect choice. I highly recommend it to everyone!

18/05/2025: Every time I return to "Al Carbonaio" it is a heart-warming experience. The staff is extremely professional and always friendly, able to make you feel at ease from the first moment. The atmosphere is intimate, familiar and well-kept. The owners, Ciro and Gina, are wonderful people: passionate, welcoming and always careful to guarantee the best to those who sit at their tables. And the food? A guarantee. Whatever you choose from the menu is superb, from appetizers to pizza, from first courses to second courses. Everything is prepared with quality ingredients and great care. There is also great attention to gluten-free: those with special dietary needs feel welcomed and protected, without ever giving up taste and variety. The selection of wines is wide and well-curated, as is the selection of desserts, which always end the meal in style. Another strong point is the menu, always refined and constantly evolving: it changes every three-four months, always offering new proposals to those who love to return often.
