21/03/2026: A very beautiful and characteristic Lucchese place, delicious food and just the right portions and a lot of care. The place is welcoming and available to all your needs. I recommend it to anyone who wants to taste one of the authentic Lucchese cuisines.

08/02/2026: Magnificent! It's a 1861 villa, very tastefully refurbished in c. 2023 into a chic hotel. We were 2 adults and 2 small children. Loved our stay there, and the cons noted below are very minor. Beautiful place! PROS + Location. It's only 20min away from Alagna, and there are circa 15 parking spaces at the entrance to the Villa. + Standard of finishes and the interior decor. This place just looks amazing. It's superbly renovated and very tastefully decorated. + Well equipped. Couldn't really ask for more. (Maybe bigger mugs would be nice to have some tea) + Warm inside. We were here in the winter, it was -5 outside, and 22 inside. + The children playroom - great feature. Most of toys are for children aged 1 to 5, which suited us perfectly. + The library / reading room. Two standing shelves full of books, an eclectic selection of everything. 90% of books in Italian, with some 5 volumes in English and the rest in German. + Quiet. Even though our room was facing the main road, there wasn't any traffic during the night that might bring any noise. + Gigantic super-king size bed, double-sized sleeping sofa, and a sitting sofa in the kitchen. + Lift providing access to all floors. + Amazing panoramic view from our apartment, overlooking the road below, and the mountains all around. CONS - We couldn't give our kids a bath, as the shower didn't have a hand-held shower head, only the high level one. We were there only for 3 nights so it wasn't the end of the world though. - Just barely enough supplies, with no kitchen paper towels, just one washing machine tablet. - Not entirely child-proof. Historical chest of drawers beneath the windows are surely gorgeous, but our kids kept on crawling onto them and tried to open the windows. - Difficult and steep entrance road from the main road.

17/09/2025: I stayed in this villa in the early 1960s, during the summer when it was a summer camp for children from the Biella area. I only have a few very pleasant memories, both of the structure and of the walks in the surrounding area. And also of the delicious baked stuffed onions they sometimes served with meals.

18/02/2026: Very characteristic place, good pizza. First courses and fish are not bad, definitely not to be underestimated.

18/09/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance, and immediately found the atmosphere very welcoming. Quality homemade food, excellent value. For lovers of thin pizza, this is the place to be. Impeccable service. Clean.

04/09/2025: My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant on a Google recommendation. It's not a large but well-maintained restaurant, with outdoor seating in the center of town. For starters, we had ricotta and spinach ravioli with butter and sage, and a cream of truffle and porcini mushrooms, both delicious. For main course, grilled chicken breast for two, with a side of lemon spinach and French fries. For dessert, we had tiramisu (homemade) and caramel panna cotta, water, and a Coke. Everything was truly well-cooked, combined with friendly and professional service, so there were no long waits despite the crowded restaurant. The bill, €50, proved to be a truly excellent value. Highly recommended!

06/04/2026: A truly excellent pizzeria and focaccia restaurant just outside the city walls of Lucca. On the recommendation of our nearby hotel, we went there for dinner and were absolutely delighted! They serve only pizza and focaccia, along with salads that you can customize with various toppings. The pizza was absolutely fantastic, and the salad was equally delicious! We didn't try the focaccia ourselves, but we saw it and it looked very tasty! Aside from the constant slamming of the entrance door, due to the many customers taking their pizzas to go, we were completely thrilled and went back twice. Highly recommended!!

09/03/2026: First time last Saturday evening for my dad's birthday, a table of about 20 people. In the total chaos of the crowded room, the lady who served us was excellent! Very patient, kind, and accommodating. Very good food; we tried several fish dishes, including the fried fish, which was really well done! We'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to everyone. Just steps from the center, with ample parking in the back.

12/04/2026: Beautiful pizzeria. I went with friends who had already been there and I was very happy. I think it's the only pizzeria that serves pizza by the kilo (per meter). There were 6 of us and we ordered 6 different flavors, so 2 kg of pizza so we could all try a different piece. There was so much that we couldn't finish it, but they give you a takeaway box so we don't waste food. The place is very welcoming, the staff is kind and smiling. The crocchè and pasta frittata are divine, delicious. The best Neapolitan pizza I've ever eaten in Versilia.
