01/11/2025: La Botteghe di Donatello is an amazing restaurant, the atmosphere is cozy and pleasant, the food is excellent, and the service is outstanding. We went there several times during our stay in Florence, and every visit was wonderful. I’d like to give special thanks to Norbert, who welcomed us warmly and was very attentive and friendly. Without a doubt, an exceptional professional.

19/09/2025: Absolutely fantastic place, delicious pizza, incredibly sincere, charming and friendly masters, creating true masterpieces daily, while making people happy with all their food, with their genuine smiles. The total bliss, that any visitors and locals must experience as often as possible! I've ordered a couple of pizzas at a time and I've even ordered once 26 pizzas for my son's wedding. And each time it was a truly mind blowing result. Besides extensive and not at all expensive menu, those two virtuosos created phenomenal custom pizzas to my liking, and also improvised something I couldn't even imagine it can be so good. You just have to ask for that, and you shall be amazed. Guaranteed!! And I am making plans to indulge myself there again this year, regardless of many thousand miles that I have to fly to experience it once again. Beware, you may get addicted as well! ;-))

Nevertheless, the overall flavor is quite decent. Prices are great, compared to the rest of Italy. Good option for tourists who want a gentle introduction to Italian cuisine.

08/10/2025: I had lunch here at Oste di Lucca, served by Vincenzo. I enjoyed the tortelli with beef ragù, which were amazing, and they brought me some spectacular focaccia bread. I received a choreography on a plate, which is not easy to find even in Michelin-starred restaurants.

10/11/2025: We had lunch at this trattoria on Sunday, without a reservation, and they told us they'd found a table. It's a family-run restaurant where both the dining room and kitchen are staffed by young, talented people. The dishes are traditional Tuscan, delicious, and plentiful. The fresh pasta is clearly homemade. The cantuccini are fabulous! In a deserted Scarperia, and without understanding why it was listed among the most beautiful villages in Italy, eating at Il Torrione alone is worth the trip. Well done, keep up the good work!

From appetizers to desserts, everything was truly delicious. The staff is friendly, smiling, and always available, and the atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant. You can tell there's passion in the kitchen and a desire to make their customers feel good. The prices are fair for the quality offered. 31/10/2025: The service staff and pizza chef were friendly and helpful. The pizza was delicious: I found the dough to be better than the last time I had it in March (which was already good): light and easy to digest.

29/10/2025: I've been to this restaurant several times, and when I had a B&B nearby, I sent all my guests there for four years. They all came back, and I mean, they were absolutely thrilled! Very well-maintained place, fantastic food, excellent service. Highly recommended!

11/11/2025: After returning for the fourth time in the last four years, with about a year between each visit, I can confidently say that Il Pellegrino is now an absolute must-try in Val di Nievole. Without a doubt, it's the best steak you can eat from Pistoia to Lucca, and in my opinion, it even beats many Florentine steaks. The quality of the meat is top-notch, but what makes the difference is their way of cooking and seasoning it; every four times, it melted in my mouth! All the other ingredients are also top-notch; mushrooms and truffles with an authentic and intense flavor. The restaurant, after its recent renovation, is elegant and welcoming. Just as elegant, kind, welcoming, and very competent are all the staff, from the owners Lorenzo and Mirko, to the entire staff!! Put your GPS on and go there; it's a five-minute drive from the center of Montecatini, but you won't regret it! The price is also very fair for the quality of what you eat and drink... Recommended above all!!

08/11/2025: The food wasn't bad, except for the overpriced appetizer portions, which were small for a group of 12 people plus a boy. The steak was decent, but the worst part was the surprise bill... because €80 each for an appetizer and a steak seems like a lot to me. It's true that we drank seven bottles of €20 Chianti, but where's the €1200?! 4 crostini each, a few mixed cold cuts, side dishes with the steaks, dip, and two potatoes. In the end, it seemed logical to ask for a receipt; I would have done things differently.

15/09/2025: If you're looking for simplicity, good value, and above all, kindness, then this is the place for you. I found it by chance for a short cycling holiday and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is nestled in a charming inland village, away from the hustle and bustle of the coast. The rooms are simply furnished and very clean (if mine had a balcony, it would have been better). Downstairs is the L'Ottavo restaurant, where even on busy days they always found me a table and where I always ate very well! Lastly, the helpfulness and courtesy of Giada and all the staff.

01/12/2025: L'Angolo Tondo...It's a beautiful restaurant in our area, located in the splendid Piazza dell'Anfiteatro in Lucca. The restaurant is very welcoming, with meticulous attention to detail. The staff is friendly, courteous, professional, and highly qualified. It offers gourmet cuisine with special dishes, enhanced with selected local products of the highest quality. Well done...
