15/09/2025: If you're looking for simplicity, good value, and above all, kindness, then this is the place for you. I found it by chance for a short cycling holiday and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is nestled in a charming inland village, away from the hustle and bustle of the coast. The rooms are simply furnished and very clean (if mine had a balcony, it would have been better). Downstairs is the L'Ottavo restaurant, where even on busy days they always found me a table and where I always ate very well! Lastly, the helpfulness and courtesy of Giada and all the staff.

10/11/2025: We visited Ristorante Carla e Franca during an evening in Siena and were thrilled! The restaurant is elegant but not pretentious, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at ease. The cuisine is simply excellent: carefully prepared dishes, high-quality ingredients, and flavors that enhance Tuscan tradition with a modern twist. Each course arrived perfectly on time and beautifully presented. The Pici with wild boar ragù is a must-try. 10* The staff is friendly, professional, and always available, ready to offer advice with a smile.

10/11/2025: We went to Pizzeria Carla e Franca and had a fantastic time! 🍕🥩🍷 We ordered a house pizza, which was truly delicious—light dough, fresh ingredients, and perfectly balanced flavors. Then came an exceptional slice of beef: cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, truly perfect. To finish, we ordered two desserts, accompanied by a bottle of wine and, to our surprise, complimentary coffee and grappa—a gesture we were very pleased with and a testament to the attentiveness and kindness of the staff. Attentive service, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent value: a place where you eat well and feel even better. Congratulations to all the staff, we'll definitely be back! 👏🍽️

11/11/2025: After returning for the fourth time in the last four years, with about a year between each visit, I can confidently say that Il Pellegrino is now an absolute must-try in Val di Nievole. Without a doubt, it's the best steak you can eat from Pistoia to Lucca, and in my opinion, it even beats many Florentine steaks. The quality of the meat is top-notch, but what makes the difference is their way of cooking and seasoning it; every four times, it melted in my mouth! All the other ingredients are also top-notch; mushrooms and truffles with an authentic and intense flavor. The restaurant, after its recent renovation, is elegant and welcoming. Just as elegant, kind, welcoming, and very competent are all the staff, from the owners Lorenzo and Mirko, to the entire staff!! Put your GPS on and go there; it's a five-minute drive from the center of Montecatini, but you won't regret it! The price is also very fair for the quality of what you eat and drink... Recommended above all!!

08/11/2025: The food wasn't bad, except for the overpriced appetizer portions, which were small for a group of 12 people plus a boy. The steak was decent, but the worst part was the surprise bill... because €80 each for an appetizer and a steak seems like a lot to me. It's true that we drank seven bottles of €20 Chianti, but where's the €1200?! 4 crostini each, a few mixed cold cuts, side dishes with the steaks, dip, and two potatoes. In the end, it seemed logical to ask for a receipt; I would have done things differently.

22/09/2025: After two weeks in Tuscany, we had the most delicious pizza tonight. Very friendly service, who also spoke good English. I chose the Diego special pizza. Creamy and delicious. Delicious coffee afterward. Thank you.

08/09/2025: Excellent Neapolitan pizza with traditional Campanian ingredients, such as salami, broccoli rabe, and mozzarella. Easy-to-digest dough and quality ingredients. Quick and friendly service. I recommend Pizza Margot. Three pizzas, water, and beer for €45 total. Reservations recommended on weekends.

07/10/2025: Absolutely fantastic pizza — everything you hope to find in Italy. The dough was light, flavorful, and perfectly baked, with that ideal mix of crisp and soft. The ingredients tasted fresh and high quality, and the tomato sauce was rich and full of flavor. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal. Prices were fair, portions generous, and overall it felt like a place made by people who truly care about their food. Easily a five-star experience

01/10/2025: We found this pizzeria online while looking for gluten-free pizzas. The food was fantastic! I've never eaten such good gluten-free pizza! The crust was thin and crispy, simply perfect! I was a bit overwhelmed by the pizza selection; there were some unusual combinations and no familiar "pizza names" to be found. The waitress spoke English and helped us choose. I would go to Piombino again just for this pizzeria.
