14/01/2026: We visited L’Angolo Tondo on January 1st and had a truly wonderful experience. The service was exceptional – very attentive, warm, and dedicated. We especially appreciated that the staff took the time to explain the menu and their recommendations to us perfectly in English. We were a group of four adults with a baby in a stroller, and they were incredibly accommodating. They actively helped us choose a table, ensuring we had plenty of space and felt comfortable at all times. The food was excellent: We opted for the chef's five-course tasting menu, which we absolutely loved. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented – a true culinary delight. We will definitely return as soon as we are back in Lucca and wholeheartedly recommend L’Angolo Tondo.

13/01/2026: Excellent hotel, superb restaurant, rooms in line with 3-star standards, Riccardo and Chef Marco, his brother, are very friendly and kind people, recommended for its location which allows you to reach the best tourist destinations in a short time.

04/01/2026: Excellent hotel/restaurant along the road leading to Volterra from Pomarance, 10 km before Volterra, in the Saline di Volterra area. Great Florentine steaks, 1 x 2 steaks weighing more than 1.3 kg, 2 first courses, pici, wild boar, and octopus, 2 small carafes of wine, coffee. Rich and inviting menu, featuring traditional Tuscan dishes. Friendly service, welcoming atmosphere, wines, bottles, half bottles, glasses, and carafes.

19/10/2025: Lunch with friends, the food was delicious and the service excellent. The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating to our requests. We had three pregnant women, and they were very helpful in accommodating their requests. The Florentine steak was delicious, as were the other dishes. Recommended!

I recommend that you define at the time of booking whether the table is inside the tavern or outside in the dehor based on the season because if you don't ask first, the more complainers you get, the better the place.

A special thank you to Vincenzo for his wonderful attention to us, preparing a dish dedicated to our future fatherhood. A gesture that truly made us happy. Friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. 30/12/2025: We chose this restaurant on a beautiful Sunday in November, inspired by the numerous positive reviews, and I must say we were completely satisfied! We sat in the second room, more modern and welcoming than the entrance, and immediately appreciated the elegant yet unpretentious atmosphere and the kindness of the staff. Pappardelle with wild boar ragù, fried porcini mushrooms, a delicious roasted porcini mushroom cap, and the inevitable steak! A good red wine accompanied it, and a cream-filled millefeuille for dessert. What can I say... it was an absolutely satisfying lunch. We waited a bit for the meat, probably because the place was crowded, but it was absolutely worth it: quality produce, cooked properly, and beautifully presented... Excellent! The pappardelle with wild boar thrilled the kids, and the mushrooms were the icing on the cake of a lunch that simply leaves you wanting more. Considering the quality of the product, the bill seemed fair for what we ordered. Parking might be a bit difficult along the road that runs through this small corner of Nievole; I'd recommend arriving 10 minutes before rush hour. Otherwise, "Il Pellegrino" keeps all its promises and offers customers a totally positive experience! Top marks!

19/01/2026: Everything was great. Food was truly tasteful, dishes well though, with good balance and great combinations. I had the Pici di cavolo nero and my husband had a meat dish that according to him was deep and delicate. After having ended up in some tourist traps in Florence we are finally satisfied with a truly pleasant eating experience based on food and not chit chat.

01/01/2026: The food is good, the place is nice and the prices are fair, but unfortunately they deliberately fill the room with too many tables and it becomes difficult even to move around and have privacy while eating.

17/01/2026: I had dinner with some friends at this restaurant in Lucca, very nicely decorated with Western-style furnishings. We had some appetizers and meat, which I think is their specialty...a Thomawhok, delicious in flavor and cooked as a steak should be cooked! Good food, a great place for socializing, and not cheap in price...let's say average!

31/12/2025: Excellent Neapolitan-style pizza. It was very difficult to choose from the many options. The selection of beers and traditional appetizers is also excellent. The place is well-maintained.

17/01/2026: I stopped by one evening because I saw the beautiful outdoor tables. The waiter who showed me around was incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious. I ordered the most basic dishes, and they were all delicious. The vongole was especially delicious.
