08/03/2026: I'd like to thank the family who runs it. They've welcomed me for lunch for a month now, after my daily hospital appointment. Even though I arrive close to closing time, they reserve a seat for me, and the excellent food, whatever it is, has always been very welcome. The staff, even though they're tired and worn out from their shifts and after serving a lot of people, has always been kind, helpful, and professional. THANK YOU ❤️

19/01/2026: A place built for young people, it's a bit outdated now. It needs a bit of modernization, the outside area that welcomes cars needs fixing, too many potholes, and the food offerings are a bit disappointing.

04/04/2026: We arrived without a reservation on a Saturday evening and were told there was seating both inside and outside, so the place wasn't entirely full. We had to wait in the cold for over an hour for pizzas. At one point, after several complaints, they brought us breadsticks to stave off our hunger, but told us there was still a wait. What's more, when it came to the bill, they didn't even apologize, but were just plain sarcastic. I'll overlook the €3 cover charge for paper placemats on the tables, salvaged from grandma's house!

10/01/2026: Excellent pizza, with a few carefully prepared dishes. Attentive service, and they accommodated our needs when my wife was pregnant. Four stars because we tried calling twice (during business hours) and they didn't answer. In the end, we went anyway and it was open—so much the better!

27/09/2025: A discovery! A charming place and delicious cuisine with excellent ingredients! The staff were very kind and attentive to their customers. We appreciated the chef's visit, who came to personally ask if we liked the food. Excellent pumpkin risotto and tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms. The dessert featured unusual but delightful combinations. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful. And what can we say about the view of Lake Orta? We'll definitely be back! Congratulations!

29/01/2026: On Sunday, January 25th, we went to eat at this restaurant. The place is very beautiful, welcoming, and quaint. We had a starter, L'civel la paniscia dolce. Everything was delicious. We'll definitely be back. Congratulations to all of you. Keep up the good work. A huge hug. 😉😉😉😊😊😊😊

11/01/2026: The restaurant is welcoming, as is the staff, polite and helpful. The menu offers typical local dishes as well as more classic options and a good selection of wines. We tried both versions of the pappardelle, with wild boar and porcini mushrooms, excellent, well-combined, and made with excellent ingredients. For the main course (available by reservation only), the goose stew was simply sublime, cooked to perfection on a bed of cabbage. To finish, the waiter recommended a walnut and fig tart, lightly drizzled with honey, along with a good coffee and a local liqueur, Lyskamm, with its botanical, fragrant flavors and served chilled. The beauty of the place struck me, but the cuisine won me over.

04/01/2026: A very characteristic location in the center of Orta. Very structured menu; the appetizers could easily be second courses. Extensive and refined wine list. Experienced, attentive service. Medium-high prices. A must try! 💚

27/12/2025: Very nice place. Really good food. The waiters were kind, polite, and attentive. You might be wondering why only 2 stars. If I could split the rating, I'd give 5 stars to the overall experience, the food, and the waiters, and 1 star to the "supposed owner" (or, at least, the person who pretended to be one). Throughout the lunch, she did nothing but read aloud the negative reviews of local restaurants, denigrating and ridiculing them. She then added a few minutes of criticism and polemic (not at all constructive) towards Villa Crespi, calling it inadequate and complaining that Orta is known only for the Villa and its Michelin-starred restaurant. She also stated loudly that Villa Crespi would delete negative Tripadvisor reviews so it always has good reviews. An unpleasant comment that confirms her intention to take pleasure in denigrating others. That said, if you enjoy good food at a traditional, local restaurant, I recommend it. I hope the woman reads this comment and realizes the bad publicity she's given not only to her competitors, but also to her own restaurant. My only practical advice for the restaurant: the dark bread is good, but the white one is a bit hard. I'd replace it.

We had a lasagna which was good, a cheeseburger which was good, a seafood rice which was average and another pesto lasagna which was average minus...

01/10/2025: A nice little restaurant if you’d like good food with a view, especially so if you dine by the lake. I came here as I was staying in an apartment upstairs which by the way is lovely and ideal for a solo traveller or couple. The staff at Fruch were efficient and friendly and the pizza I had was delicious!

01/12/2025: Lunch with many friends. We mainly ordered paniscia. It wasn't appreciated because it was very dry and flavorless. First, we were served a few basic appetizers. Essentially, boiled salami and gorgonzola with polenta. I think we'll look for other places in the area.
