18/12/2024: Delusione totale, a parte l’ambiente molto bello e curato cena da dimenticare. Sì cerca di fare la grande cucina gourmet ma i sapori non sono abbinati in maniera adeguata, il risultato è una accozzaglia di materia prima messa assieme sembra per caso. Secondo di carne che sarebbe dovuto essere manzo che sia per il colore quasi rosa sia per il sapore sia per il grasso presente ricordava a tutti i commensali qualcos’altro. Digerito tra l’altro con molta fatica. 19/10/2024: Posizionato sulla Via principale del Centro di Orta, a poca distanza dalla piazza centrale, questo locale è stata una piacevole scoperta: ottima accoglienza, ambiente luminoso ed ospitale, pietanze originali e molto gustose. Ottimi i tagliolini al ragù di cinghiale e fuori dal consueto la preparazione e la presentazione del coniglio. Le portate sono quantitativamente adeguate, nonostante il locale possa presentarsi del tipo ricercato (“gourmet”). Veramente degno di menzione lo zabaione (qui, chiamato “zabaglione”) … €. 9,00 possono sembrare eccessivi, ma la porzione è decisamente abbondante ed è ampiamente proporzionata per due persone. €. 4,00 per una bottiglia d’acqua (in bottiglia di vetro, imbottigliata e tappata alla fonte … e non di quelle microfiltrate, imbottigliate in cucina) possono risultare eccessivi, ma considerato che non viene applicato il coperto (nonostante il tavolo sia imbandito con tovaglia e tovaglioli di stoffa ed il servizio sia impeccabile) e mi è stato praticato anche uno sconto … beh! Non c’è nulla di cui lamentarsi. Ho molto apprezzato i libri e le riviste di alto pregio culturale, presenti nel locale. Molto gradevole la conversazione con la titolare, che accoglie, all’entrata, e saluta i clienti, dopo il pagamento, con molta cordialità (… qualità non molto diffusa nel V.C.O., dove spesso si ha l'impressione di essere tollerati soltanto perchè si paga la visita).

24/03/2025: We went there by chance as a stopover. We were pleasantly surprised. Only my son spoke German and English. But everyone was very friendly and helpful. Electricity was available at the site, but it was very isolated and not many pitches. Clean restrooms. Shower and toilet. The food was simply excellent and inexpensive. Just like at Mom's. We'd love to go back.

01/03/2025: Good food but overpriced. Gourmet pizzas/focaccias (it's hard to understand what's so gourmet about them) charged from 15 to 18 euros seem a bit much to me. A normal pizza (the size of a normal home plate) with calamari and ham for 14.50 euros. Drinks always cost a little more than normal. The price of the desserts is a surprise because they are ordered based on a list spoken verbally by the waitress. In the end, for two pizzas, two desserts, two place settings, one water, one beer, we paid 55 euros.

15/01/2025: Went last Saturday for dinner, following research for a place in the area where we were. We chose the two tasting menus. Delicious dishes, all. Special credit to the onion soup 😋 Even the desserts. Truly everything delicious! Small but nice and welcoming place. The waitress who served us was very nice and friendly. Absolutely recommended!

13/02/2025: Posto bellissimo, personale solare e cordiale, il problema è là temperature interna, non si può fare un aperitivo con 30 gradi in pieno inverno. Ambiente troppo caldo. Sistemate questo “problema’ e il posto diventa da 5 stelle.

15/02/2025: A good place to eat as a couple or in small groups. The menu perhaps has little choice but it is clear that each dish is quite sophisticated and requires complex preparation. It was all very good. The mini portions of appetizers offered by the restaurant were much appreciated.

13/04/2025: Efficient and fast service, a place perhaps with overused spaces, at least where 4 of us were seated with a sofa shared with the table next to it which spaced out just enough space to be able to get up and pass with a profile view Having said that, we took 4 pizzas but I didn't feel like taking photos because they were aesthetically anonymous, the classic ones were faded and thin, even the edge was flat... the dough wasn't bad and everyone liked it anyway, except me who prefers the pronounced edges of the classic Neapolitan style. Price around €20 each with three waters and a medium beer to drink

01/02/2025: We went for lunch today. Super friendly owner, careful to entertain his guests in a simple environment where you can breathe the air of home. We ate 2 first courses and they were delicious. We can't wait to return in the warmer weather to appreciate the tables in the outdoor space

17/02/2025: Durante una gita ad Arona abbiamo deciso all’ultimo di fermarci per pranzo e ci siamo imbattuti in questo bel ristorante poco fuori dal centro … gentilissimi che seppure pieni e senza prenotazione ci han fatto subito accomodare nella veranda riscaldata. Piatti ben presentati e molto buoni , prezzi adeguati e personale molto gentile Primi piatti con pasta fatta in casa , ottima la carne
