06/08/2026: The atmosphere is rustic yet truly welcoming: as soon as you enter, you immediately feel like you're at your grandmother's house, in the countryside.
The lady welcomed us with a smile and was incredibly kind and helpful, even taking into account my gluten intolerance, which I greatly appreciated.
We started with the house antipasto, consisting of cheeses and cured meats from a local farm: everything was truly excellent. Furthermore, even though we hadn't ordered a first course, the chef offered us a sample of fresh pasta with meat sauce. I couldn't try it because of the gluten, but judging by the look and my companion's enthusiasm, it must have been truly delicious!
For our second course, we chose the tagliata with potatoes and the tomino with grilled vegetables: both dishes were truly delicious.
Our only regret? Not noticing the wild boar ribs served on a cast iron griddle at the next table until the end... they looked so inviting, I would have eaten them even after coffee!
We will definitely be back: in addition to the excellent food, we found a family atmosphere and hospitality that really make the difference.
05/08/2026: A while ago, we organized a lunch with family from Spain. Unfortunately, there were a lot of us, and it took us a while to arrive. Despite this, they waited for us with a smile. The food was authentic and good value. The owner was fantastic and made us feel at home. It's worth a visit!

The hotel restaurant Monterosa

06/11/2025: The hotel is located in a beautiful green setting, with a breathtaking view from the balcony. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly.
27/10/2025: Hotel/restaurant recommended by my mother, where she recently had lunch and really enjoyed it.
Good price and great location, I decided to book a one-night stay for a couples' getaway.
Unfortunately, I had to cancel at the last minute for work, but the staff very kindly accommodated my cancellation.
I'll try to book again around Christmas, hoping for better luck!

05/05/2025: Struttura semplice e un po' datata anche se qua e là si notano parziali lavori di ristrutturazione (il nostro bagno era praticamente nuovo, come l'impianto elettrico, con frutti e placche dell'ultima serie living BTicino). La stanza era pulitissima, salvo un piccolo particolare in bagno che, sebbene importante, credo sia sfuggito non per negligenza. Comunque la camera era comoda ed il bagno funzionale. La doccia ampia e godibilissima. Abbiamo deciso di non cenare nella struttura perché l'hotel ospitava gli invitati di un matrimonio quindi abbiamo preferito non distrarre il personale dal servizio più importante. Non possiamo quindi esprimere un giudizio sulla cucina. Colazione dolce e salata più che discreta, servita al tavolo di fronte ad una vetrata che consentiva di godere di una splendida vista sul lago d'Orta. Il titolare si impegnato a soddisfare ogni nostra necessità, e ci ha richiesto ripetutamente se volessimo fare dei bis o assaggiare altre cose. Il parcheggio per l'auto è quello del Santuario della Madonna della Bocciola, a 50 metri dall'hotel. Visto il buonissimo rapporto qualità prezzo, ritengo senz'altro di consigliare la struttura.

23/11/2025: An absolutely top-notch horseback riding experience in the beautiful hills of Lake Orta. The ride was spectacular, made unforgettable by the quality of the service.
The instructor is professional, knowledgeable, and very approachable; she guided us with skill and warmth. The hospitality was evident throughout the facility. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an excellent equestrian experience in a beautiful natural setting.
01/08/2025: Location che trasmette pace e tranquillità , i piatti sono ottimi e abbondanti, il personale è molto attento e premuroso. Tutto ottimo, molto consigliato soprattutto a chi vuole assaporare le specialità locali.

16/07/2025: A charming and cozy establishment for locals. They serve coffee, pastries, ice cream, tobacco, and sweets. There's also a pleasant terrace. Located in the center of Ameno, it's best to park your car in one of the parking lots on the outskirts of town. Be careful, though, as these are quite narrow, typically Italian alleyways, making them difficult for a large car.

12/09/2025: Friendly staff, excellent pizza, and sea bass baked in foil with crispy fried vegetables.
The house white wine in a carafe is also very good.
I eat there often.
29/08/2025: Very rude staff! The portions are very small and super expensive!! You have to order 2-3 dishes to be full!
