05/07/2025: Abbiamo trovato il locale per caso uscendo dall autostrada. Posto carino, il cameriere (titolare?) molto gentile sia con noi che con i bambini (non troppo tranquilli). Abbiamo mangiato all interno ma ci sarebbero anche dei posti esterni da cui si vedono alcuni pezzi del museo adiacente. A mezzogiorno viene proposto il menu del giorno per 15€: un primo (nel nostro caso cacio e pepe o putanesca) davvero abbondante (e buono) e un secondo di carne (con insalatq o patatine fritte). Se posso fare una critica la pasta era un po’ troppo unta (a me personalmente piace) e l’insalatq “mista” era verde e pomodoro. Avendo preso il menu non so cos altro ci fosse sulla carta. Servizio abbastanza rapido (non irrilevante con dei bambini, a cui hanno preparato u a pasta con il sugo) e cordiale. Tutto sommato sorpresa positiva. Ps vorrei solo segnalare un po’ di scetticismo per l igiene per la presenza di un cane in cucina

31/05/2025: Sono stato in questo ristorante un giovedì sera a cena. È stata un'esperienza fantastica. Fin dal primo boccone si capisce la ricercatezza e la profondità di sapore dei piatti dello chef. Ho optato per ordinare 3 piatti fuori menù che sono stati uno meglio dell'altro in termini di sapore e presentazione. Servizio eccelso, cortesia e professionalità. Ci tornerò molto volentieri.

31/05/2025: Seconda volta in questo ristorante, segno che la prima era stata una buona esperienza. Anche questa seconda è andata bene. Anzi, molto bene. Servizio cordiale e premuroso. Amouse bouche delizioso e pane, credo, fatto in casa (a nostro avviso sul pane avremmo sperato meglio). Abbiamo optato per due portate a testa. Le nostre scelte sono cadute su piatti dai sapori decisi (spiedino di lingua e anguilla, paccheri cacio&pepe gratinati con julienne di asparagi, crocchette di baccalà e filetto di branzino su bisque di crostacei) che solo a scriverne mi stimolano la salivazione. Tempi di attesa perfetti e, dal mio punto di vista, fondamentali per la buona riuscita di un pranzo o una cena. Vini in carta ottimi. Torneremo a Novara per una passeggiata in centro o una salita alla guglia di San Gaudenzio ma solo dopo aver prenotato un’altra volta in questo ristorante. Bravi.

28/07/2025: Discovered by chance during work seven years ago and have never left. Perfect place, I've brought friends and family and always made a great impression. The location is truly charming and charming, located under the steps of the Madonna del Bosco. The rustic and welcoming atmosphere and the breathtaking view. Chicco's cuisine is sublime, and Lorena, Angelo, and Sandro are excellent staff. A place where you still eat divinely and spend a fair amount. Try the cutlet on Thursdays and the fish on Fridays. On Saturdays, Chicco always outdoes himself with some game-based dishes. I forgot to mention the homemade tiramisu to finish off the meal, it's a must.

19/06/2025: 12.50pm, after a bit of waiting I manage to speak to an unkind waitress who tells me she has no place (x 1), I hope they will have many free places in the future...

31/05/2025: Super tasty wines at very democratic prices, nice terrace. Patron gives good explanation, mainly in Italian, which does provide an authentic atmosphere. Unfortunately we discovered the bar too late so we could only go twice. If we come in the area again we will definitely go back! Really recommended!

23/02/2025: After several attempts and several coffees (some truly undrinkable) tried in various bars in Novara, I finally found the real espresso. The owners (husband and wife) are nice and very helpful. Excellent breakfast, everything good and fresh. Tried it a few days later for an aperitif and was very satisfied. Thank you. Saturday morning has become a regular stop for an excellent good coffee. Update. After 2 years nothing has changed. Thanks again!

10/08/2025: Excellent food, adequate service. The only drawback was the incorrect bill (an extra bottle of water) and lack of transparency (a bottle of wine was missing from the cellar, replaced with a "sub-brand" one, but the price remained unchanged, not stated on the menu).

20/07/2025: I couldn't sit still for a moment because of the flies at the table, the service was very poor, and unfortunately the meat was rubbery. I hadn't even finished eating before they were already clearing my plate from the table. I'm disappointed because I've been several times and it wasn't like this; I definitely won't be back.

09/07/2025: A nice place to spend an evening with friends: there are board games, pool, foosball, darts, etc. The place is old and poorly maintained, with limited parking and poorly organized spaces. The food is plentiful and tasty. Except for the desserts, which aren't very good. The service is calm and polite, very down-to-earth but pleasant. The price is fair.

28/06/2025: It had been a few years since I set foot in Soliva, so much so that I thought it was closed. I was invited for a birthday party and I must say that I found the location slightly different (for the better) and I was surprised by the environment, nice, but perhaps a little too gloomy, considering that now it is seen more as a restaurant or ristopub. The food was appreciated, fast and precise with the orders. The menu perhaps a little sparse and without a possible variant for those who need, due to allergies or intolerances to have a different choice. However... It is worth another visit.
