27/08/2025: The pizzas are good, and we often return when we're in Bardonecchia. It's a shame the waitresses are always annoyed and uninterested.

20/07/2025: A local bar and tobacco shop run by friendly, local Chinese. A wide selection of wines, spritzes, and the famous "house aperitif," as well as pre-packaged and tub-and-cone ice creams. Lotto games and similar games are available. Wheelchair access is limited due to three steps. Outside, there are chairs and tables to seat about 10-12 people. Nearby, there's a square with a church worth a visit, and the historic "pass" over the Livenza River.

12/03/2025: A historic local bar, which hasn't lost its identity under its current management. Lisa and Ping are wonderful; their kindness and courtesy make this the perfect place for an evening with friends.

25/08/2025: A truly forgettable lunch. Everything seemed defrosted, the flavors and colors very plasticky. They have three types of pizza: the diavola was terrible, served lukewarm, rubbery, and tasteless. The meatballs seemed homogenized because the minced meat was actually scrunched up into a ball. It's in a good location and has an inviting menu, but only on paper.

14/08/2025: We came here for dinner, eating outside at the tables. The sandwiches were average, the fries were good, and then we had some fried balls filled with cheese and speck, which were truly excellent. The service was quick, and the owner was very helpful, friendly, and personable; we appreciated him.

05/09/2025: Nightmare! Aperitif with limited wine selection and poor quality spirits (they don't have Campari). Rude and surly service from a young man. Not recommended. Stay away.

02/09/2025: A delicious platter to share with friends under the arcades of a beautiful square. Good prices.

03/05/2025: Siamo stati a cena con nostra cognata alla Cantina dei Cacciatori, accolti nella bella dimora con la consueta premura, e gustato cibi deliziosi. Per amuse-bouche gli sfiziosi bigné al formaggio; quindi un delicato soufflé di asparagi con una vellutata fonduta; la sempre graditissima insalata russa antica maniera; per secondo il succulento merluzzo al pomodoro. E per finire lo squisito budino della Cantina con amaretti e caffè. Perfetta la Barbera della cascina Chicco. Un encomio particolare alla signora Paola che, coadiuvata dal figlio Fabrizio, realizza con passione i manicaretti. In sala il signor Bruno, attento e cordiale, e la nuora Flavia sempre disponibile a consigliare gli ospiti dubbiosi nella scelta del menu. Ogni volta è come ritornare a casa. Complimenti a tutti. 15/04/2025: Gran bel posto, di diritto nell’olimpo gastronomico del Roero secondo me. Menu semplice e tradizionale ma non proposto alla buona come accade con forse l’80% della concorrenza, in zona, in Langa o come anche a Torino. Qui piatti scontati sono creati da manuale, e accompagnati da una scelta di vini che può far divertire. Il locale anche mi piace troppo!!! Un ristorante su una classica strada provinciale, ma le osterie sono questo in fondo, luoghi di passaggio in cui rifocillarsi. Prezzo appena maggiore del solito ma giustificato da tutto.

01/06/2025: Very kind staff, simple Piedmontese food, we ate in the garden which is very welcoming. Everything simple but the kindness (rare thing to find) makes everything even more worthwhile.

04/05/2025: I start from an assumption: it is a place where I would return. Having said that: the environment has remained the same as it was at least 50 years ago, the service is friendly and efficient to the right degree, however far from the expectations or parameters that a certain television program might have inculcated in the public's head. The food is good and has homemade flavors although not excellent. Value for money (including everything: local service etc etc) not optimal but! I left with a full stomach, satisfied and happy, despite all the limitations that the place may have. The Piedmontese mixed fry is in the right portions (there were two of us) preceded by 4 appetizers and accompanied by a very honest house wine that tasted good. A place to eat if you are not looking for a starry atmosphere but want to be peacefully in company.

07/06/2025: Overall a nice place. Fixed price menu, a good variety of pizzas. A cacio e pepe that didn't satisfy me but was still edible, a sufficient vitello tonnato, a dish of cooked vegetables adequate. It didn't leave its mark...

26/05/2025: Eravamo di passaggio e ci siamo fermati in questa trattoria sperando di trovare una cucina casalinga a prezzi economici visto e considerato il posto molto datato. Invece prezzi alti e qualità e porzioni scadenti. Non consigliato.

06/09/2025: Good pizza and a great location, outdoors and just steps from the main square. The only flaw is the owner's overbearing and derogatory behavior toward the staff, especially toward one waiter, a middle-aged man who, in my opinion, was very kind and competent. He was then shouted out at dinnertime by the owner, with no regard for the customers present.

30/03/2025: Nice place to have a chat. We brought a cake (as agreed) and the waitress shouted at us and told us that she was busy and that we had to go and get plates and cutlery at home... never seen something like this😅

18/07/2025: UPDATE July 2025 Unfortunately, the change in management has turned what was once the top takeout pizzeria in Tortona into just another. Chewy dough, bland pizzas, mediocre ingredients. They'll have to change their takeout pizzeria. A real shame. ----- My absolute favorite pizza. Wood-fired oven, excellent ingredients, exceptional dough, and very reasonable prices. How wonderful to have it just a few dozen meters from home!

05/06/2025: One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. It was freshly baked in a stone oven, the dough is fantastic, and the pizza was cooked to perfection. Super friendly service, and the wait times were short.

08/03/2025: This is our second dinner here, and it's a guaranteed success. The staff are very attentive, the atmosphere intimate, and the selection of products is excellent. The price is fair for the service and the ingredients. This evening, we accidentally overpaid without noticing, and the wait staff chased us out of the restaurant to refund the excess! It was a very appreciated gesture. I definitely recommend it.

16/07/2025: Mmm... a pastry shop. It's always crowded because it's always open. There are tables outside on the sidewalk of Corso Vercelli, but inside it's a bit run-down. It's good for a quick coffee or a late-night sweet treat, but for everything else...
