18/01/2026: Excellent fish-friendly food experience As the title suggests, I had an excellent meal at this pastry shop/bakery/favelleria (the place where they sell broad beans, a favelleria) one day in mid-December. Spacious place: it's one of those restaurants where there's both a dining room and a kitchen, with tables that have all the necessary edges and chairs. Excellent food, four powerful burps, and I digested it all without any problems. The waiter was kind and professional, and knew how to regale diners with wonderful memories of life. Recommended

23/11/2025: The food was very poor and hard to digest. There was no menu and therefore no prices. The owner recommended the famous Tris appetizer, which surprised us at €44 for two, and €22 each for the three-piece appetizer. We felt cheated. I strongly recommend providing pricing information to customers to avoid disappointment. The service was good, the waitress was attentive, and the atmosphere was quiet and welcoming, but too expensive for what you get.

23/11/2025: There's no menu. The advice led us to spend much more than necessary and eat much less than expected. The fish dishes were extremely small, bordering on ridiculous. Too many sauces masked the flavor of the dishes, which were tasty but also very indigestible and extremely heavy despite the portions at the bottom of the plate. The wine was served warm and without a basket. We won't be returning, and I don't recommend the experience. What you eat here isn't fish; it's more of a... salty experience.

06/09/2025: We had dinner at this restaurant. The atmosphere was simple and welcoming. The selection wasn't extensive, but the dishes were excellent and high-quality. The anchovies in salsa verde as an appetizer were very good and fresh. We had three first courses, all carefully prepared and flavorful; the tagliolini with sea bass were especially fabulous. The fried fish was also excellent, both with and without mixed seafood; it was dry and not at all heavy. My only complaint is that perhaps I would have added a little more mixed seafood. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the Portuguese milk pudding (though we'd seen it at other customers and it looked lovely), so we opted for the homemade tart with custard and strawberries, and I must say it was another pleasant surprise. The owners were friendly and kind. The price was average, but the quality and flavors are worth it. A pleasant surprise! We'll definitely be back.

29/10/2025: We had dinner at Da Maria in Giglio Castello — the food was good, fairly average overall, but the price felt a bit too high. For a group meal with one starter, one main course, and one dessert, it came to around €50 per person.

21/09/2025: I won't say how much I spent in total, because I've eaten that amount elsewhere and left satisfied with what I ate. Paying €40 for two risottos where you had to search for the rice grains hidden between a mussel, two shrimp, and four clams seems excessive to me. When you then realize the portion at the next table is larger, you feel cheated. Likewise, €30 for a fried dish that also included cheap vegetables and sardines, considered a low-cost fish, seems excessive. And finally, when I came to pay, I was told they even gave me a discount because they made me wait. I was even too kind to give it two stars.

22/11/2025: A beautiful spot right by the small harbor for dinner. The black spaghetti was an explosion of flavor. The fried seafood, on the other hand, was rather average, 3 stars.

21/09/2025: A lovely place on the Giglio harbor. Unfortunately, the risotto was drained and mixed with the seafood, as was the spaghetti with clams, which were loose and tasteless. A raw meagre arrived, completely covered in tomato pieces. We notified the waiter, and to be honest, it wasn't included in the final bill. The ingredients were excellent, but in my opinion, the chef was lacking.

31/01/2026: Excellent service and atmosphere. I have many allergies. I was impressed by the professionalism and care with which the staff handled my numerous food allergies and by the variety of choices. The dishes were delicious.

26/01/2026: If a place calls itself a trattoria, you can't charge €18 for a plate of stuffed squid and only bring ONE! ONE squid!! Plus, the staff is very rushed and uncaring. I definitely won't be back. And the quality isn't worth the price!
