11/11/2025: Neither good nor bad. Nice atmosphere, decent pizza, but the other dishes weren't impressive, with rather small portions and some frozen items not worth mentioning. Prices were in line with the local norm.

03/11/2025: Very nice hotel on the beach. Our room was elegant and spacious, with a great shower and comfortable bed. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious. All the staff were really friendly. We'll be back soon.

20/09/2025: We recently spent our vacation at the La Bussola Beach Hotel. - Our room „Giglio“ was perfect for our family. It was very clean and comfortable. We felt right at home and could relax well after a long day at the beach or trips. - The beach is perfect! Clean, quiet, and with a beautiful view. We relaxed on the beach and enjoyed the sun. - The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We always felt well taken care of and could rely on the staff whenever we needed assistance. - The mini golf course was a bit in need of maintenance, but we still had a good time. It was a nice pastime for us. We didn’t use the golf area where guests mainly spend their time. In general, we felt very comfortable at the La Bussola Beach Hotel. The cleanliness, the friendliness of the staff, and the perfect beach location were all highlights for us. We can wholeheartedly recommend the hotel and would book it again in a heartbeat.

23/10/2025: We happened to be passing through Porto Santo Stefano and wanted something quick to eat. Given the cool breeze, this place not only has outdoor seating but also an indoor area. Unfortunately, it's not connected to the kitchen, and the staff has to come from outside, but then again, I think it's worse to cross the street. The swordfish carpaccio and fish crostini were both good. Spaghetti with clams and Spaghetti allo scoglio were very good, with perfectly cooked pasta. Water, 1/4 cup wine, dessert, and a coffee totaled around €60. The price was fair, and the waitress was very friendly. Of course, the indoor dining area is a sidewalk, so it's not exceptionally decorated, but overall, it's a place I'd return to for its excellent value.

24/09/2025: We had a very good meal. The mussels were excellent, as were the tortelli in sage butter and the tagliata. We'd love to come back!

12/09/2025: Lovely location, excellent food, both pizzas and cuisine. Compliments for the tagliatelle with wild boar sauce, and what can I say about the stew...superlative?

19/10/2025: From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcome — the staff and surrounding atmosphere were warm and friendly. As a connoisseur of seafood, I approached this restaurant with high expectations. Unfortunately, the culinary experience did not meet them. Overall, the dishes lacked depth of flavor. Despite the many possibilities to enhance the natural taste of shellfish, the preparation fell short. The pasta was noticeably undercooked, resulting in an unpleasant texture. Conversely, the seafood accompanying the pasta was overcooked and dehydrated, disintegrating on the plate and leaving behind only the shells. The final dish, a fritura, was also disappointing. The calamari was soggy, the shrimp appeared insufficiently cleaned, and the fish was plain and lacked seasoning. In conclusion, the overall quality of the food was considerably below expectations, particularly given the price point. The restaurant would greatly benefit from greater attention to preparation, texture, and flavor balance to align the experience with its cost and presentation.

09/10/2025: It was our go-to spot during our days in Porto Santo Stefano. The food is excellent, with special attention to gluten-free options. The fish is always fresh, the atmosphere is elegant, and the staff is very knowledgeable. The hostess was extremely kind and gave us excellent advice on excursions in the area—always spot on! Highly recommended!

21/10/2025: One of our favorite restaurants in Tuscany. The antipasti buffet is fantastic. The dessert cart is also top-notch! Everything your heart desires. An excellent location for an evening with friends. The staff is very friendly. Truly Italian.

21/09/2025: At Carmen Bay, I'd had a lunchtime snack of fried seafood and a glass of white wine after swimming. I decided to come in the evening for dinner by the sea. The setting is more atmospheric during the day, although at night it's lovely to hear the sound of the sea while dining. The seafood is good; I had the marinated anchovies and spaghetti with clams, paired with a nice white wine. The fried foods are generally good, although sometimes you can tell the oil could use a change. The service is friendly but a bit rushed. It's worth it for the setting and the sea view, which is also reflected in the bill: €20 for a plate of spaghetti with clams.

17/10/2025: The food was quite expensive, the waitress forgot to bring a dish and a drink and unfortunately swapped them, the food was good except for a few flaws, but it was not bad

11/10/2025: I recommend the Pirate dish, which serves two people, fettuccine or other pasta with lobster and other seafood, and the signature bib is included to keep things clean! Other tasty dishes are also included, and the service is excellent.

31/08/2025: Very nice location. Excellent service. But we were disappointed with the food. We had a few appetizers and the fish soup, but none of the four of us liked it. One of us even had stomach problems right after dinner. Too bad.

22/11/2025: A beautiful spot right by the small harbor for dinner. The black spaghetti was an explosion of flavor. The fried seafood, on the other hand, was rather average, 3 stars.

21/09/2025: A lovely place on the Giglio harbor. Unfortunately, the risotto was drained and mixed with the seafood, as was the spaghetti with clams, which were loose and tasteless. A raw meagre arrived, completely covered in tomato pieces. We notified the waiter, and to be honest, it wasn't included in the final bill. The ingredients were excellent, but in my opinion, the chef was lacking.

03/10/2025: The welcome was greatly appreciated, greetings arrived with the surname. Flexibility in choosing a table, water and bread served immediately, the microfiltered water and breadsticks served with bread were particularly appreciated. The menu and wine list were well-presented, with impressive paper in a leather cover. The only flaw was a stained first page of the wine list. The prices were average for both, the menu was well-crafted and easy to read, with personality. I would have appreciated an introduction to the menu, which was missing, but I appreciated the presence of two special dishes of the day. The explanations of the dishes were fairly thorough. The wine by the glass was a sore point, rather tired. The peppered mussels were very good, the only flaw was an uncleaned mussel left on the edge of the plate, which the waiter, however, ignored. For the second course (tuna tartare), I found the ponzu sauce particularly overpowering, as it was meant to cover the excellent quality tuna. I would suggest turning it into a reduction and adding a refreshing element (perhaps a few verbena leaves). The sorbet was excellent, nothing to complain about. Aside from a few inaccuracies, such as the food check after each course but not the wine, the service was courteous, dynamic, and never intrusive, and was highly appreciated. There's no reason to complain about the location, which is particularly suitable for multiple visits. See you soon; don't be afraid to indulge in this treat.
