29/09/2025: The best pizza I've ever had. After finishing the first one, I ordered the same pizza a second time. Better than NY, Chicago and anywhere else in Italy. We've eaten at a lot of pizza spots in Italy with glowing reviews, this was miles better than any of them. Thinner crust, perfect crisp with amazing flavour. Try it. It's damn good. We got the Maremma 'Mpestata pizza... Twice.

18/09/2025: We had specifically reserved a table and were then asked to wait. After half an hour, I said in English, "We've been waiting for half an hour, how long will it be?" The waitress then said, "Too long!" She turned around and left, ignoring me. We waited a little longer and then left.

03/10/2025: It's a shame we came on a windy day, which meant we couldn't have lunch on the terrace overlooking the harbor. The inside dining room is small and unremarkable. I had a grilled fish dish, and that definitely deserves four stars. The staff is young.

11/09/2025: A safe haven for those seeking the authentic flavors of the sea. The harbor air caresses the terrace, offering a picturesque view, although the proximity of the road occasionally breaks the spell. The cuisine, however, immediately restores peace: it is a well-orchestrated symphony of flavors, with raw ingredients that speak volumes and never disappoint. The first courses, in particular, are an ode to the sea, with an honorable mention for the spaghetti allo scoglio, capable of convincing even the most discerning palates. The service proved efficient and punctual, a well-oiled machine; some of my guests noticed a certain rush, wishing for a smile, but the speed was undeniable. The bill proved fair, the right price for an experience that, despite minor logistical hiccups, leaves a tasty memory and the desire to return.

11/08/2025: Excellent location, good beach service. The La Bussola restaurant with its sea view is excellent, and the maître d', Cesare, is highly professional and empathetic. The only thing to note is the TV remote control, which was impossible to use as there were no instructions in the room. We'll definitely return.

18/08/2025: The staff were very friendly and helpful; they even seated us even though the kitchen was closing. They have many gluten-free options for celiacs, including bread to accompany the dishes. The fish was excellent.

06/09/2025: Interminable wait, very crowded... The fettuccine with ragù was delicious...while the tripe with ragù was basically ragù with tripe...(a little heavy, honestly). The beans with onions were good.

17/09/2025: The Trattoria Il Mare received a warm welcome, even for our dogs! We only had pasta dishes, including the house special, "pirate tagliolini," which was very filling and flavorful. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend it.

21/09/2025: A lovely place on the Giglio harbor. Unfortunately, the risotto was drained and mixed with the seafood, as was the spaghetti with clams, which were loose and tasteless. A raw meagre arrived, completely covered in tomato pieces. We notified the waiter, and to be honest, it wasn't included in the final bill. The ingredients were excellent, but in my opinion, the chef was lacking.

20/09/2025: Good is very good and you have the chance to try pretty unusual seafood recipes. Service is support fast, staff very friendly and kind. Portions are really small though, hence the place is really really expensive (couple of shared starters, one course per person and drinks -no fancy wines- 40 euro per person). Worth a try but not going back.

16/09/2025: Truly everything was excellent, from the first course to the last, including dessert. Very attentive, fast service, and the staff were attentive and extremely kind. Seating both inside and out. Romantic atmosphere.

10/09/2025: Excellent restaurant on the harbor, with very good quality ingredients, tradition and a touch of innovation. I spent less than I expected.

24/09/2025: We had a very good meal. The mussels were excellent, as were the tortelli in sage butter and the tagliata. We'd love to come back!

12/09/2025: Lovely location, excellent food, both pizzas and cuisine. Compliments for the tagliatelle with wild boar sauce, and what can I say about the stew...superlative?

22/08/2025: The place was beautiful and I liked it, the food was small portions. Then I asked for grilled fish and only 2 small calamari arrived which were not grilled and were tough. There was no fish, only 2 prawns and 3 large scampi. Everything here was nothing but a side dish for €25, you decide. I wasn't crazy about the food.

09/08/2025: One of the waitresses was rude; the dishes were appreciated, although the portions weren't generous for an osteria. There's a limited choice of main courses, but all in all, given the restaurant's seaside location and the quality ingredients, it's a place worth trying.

13/09/2025: Incredible. The beach, the pasta, the service, the coffee! Exceptional pasta is a signature of great restaurants.

06/09/2025: The place is lovely, and the surrounding sea is truly beautiful. It's worth returning for the beach. The welcome was minimal, nothing particularly warm, but it was average. We had an average cappuccino (€2) and a breaded cutlet sandwich (€7). Considering that the cutlet was pre-cooked, supermarket-quality, and not freshly prepared, the price seems decidedly excessive, even for August. It's therefore best to bring your own food, or at most, get a coffee—perhaps—for €2.50. Overall, the place is worth it for its natural beauty, but the facilities have a lot of room for improvement and give the impression of being exploited for seasonal prices.

03/05/2025: Cena veloce,un buon compromesso come soluzione, l'ambiente per essere un fast restaurant è gradevole.purtroppo la scelta proposta è largamente ridotta in fase di ordine,si ha quasi l'impressione di terminare gli avanzi del giorno. Sarà stata una serata storta, peccato.
