This restaurant offers fast, friendly service and traditional Tuscan meat and fish dishes. We tried some quick first courses, which were good, but I expected more from the pici cacio e pepe, which were a bit bland.

I went with my mom and son to eat at this fabulous restaurant for the first time. The food was excellent, and the staff was incredibly polite and friendly. I'll definitely be back.

I tried Trattoria al Mare Follonica and had a truly positive experience.
I had linguine with clams and fried fish, and I must say I was impressed with both dishes.
The linguine was well-cooked, flavorful, and full of clams, with an authentic and well-balanced seafood flavor.
The fried fish, on the other hand, was crispy and dry, without being heavy, with well-fried and tasty calamari and shrimp.
You can taste the freshness of the ingredients and the simple yet well-executed cuisine, without too many frills but with substance.
The atmosphere is informal, perfect for a relaxing dinner by the sea.
Prices are in line with the area and the quality offered.

The food is good, but the portions are tiny: I received a second course of octopus consisting of two—yes, two—mini-tentacles. And that's it.

Central location
We arrived without a reservation right at opening time and were seated right away, even outside, which was very welcome.
The service was friendly and fast.
The dishes were tasty, medium-sized portions, and beautifully plated.
The only downside was a bit of a mix-up at the next table, but that's not the restaurant's fault.
I recommend it if you're near Follonica.
