31/01/2025: We, a couple, had lunch here twice during our week in Vieste. The first time it was randomly chosen, but we were treated to a fabulous meal consisting of 2 appetizers followed by spaghetti with mussels in a tomato and olive oil sauce and a grilled orata. Everything was done perfectly and generously served. The dessert was a chocolate soufflé with a pistachio filling. The second time was the piece de resistance. We preordered the zuppa di pesce, a combination of different local fishes in a rich broth with tiny vegetables and bread, in order to give the chef time to gather the ingredients. The broth was rich with the taste of the mixture of the five different fishes plus shrimp, mussels, clams and calamari. It was served in a giant vessel with grilled bread drenched with olive oil. It was the perfect zuppa and its memory will live on in my mind together with the kindness of Chef Elia who shared his philosophy of cooking with us. It was an experience that made our visit to Vieste a jewel that will shine on.

02/06/2025: English: Although the quality of the food, especially the fresh fish, was very high, the service was not up to par. We were seven people and we ordered three raw fish appetizers and four cooked fish appetizers. When paying, we were presented with a bill with three raw appetizers and seven cooked fish appetizers. Although the staff agreed with us, the owner refused to correct the mistake, claiming that the dishes had been placed in the center of the table and that therefore the choice of what to eat was left to the discretion of the customers. Not knowing the size of the restaurant's portions, and considering that the dishes had been placed in the center of the table to be shared, we did not pay particular attention to the amount of food we were ordering. Furthermore, we were charged for one more bottle of water than what we actually consumed. Therefore, I advise anyone who wants to have lunch or dinner at this restaurant to pay particular attention to the appetizers, to avoid unpleasant surprises like the one we experienced.

03/06/2025: Good food, nice place, good service, excellent combination of food and Turkish bath!! Despite the request to be able to have lunch inside the room (which was also empty), they let us take a free bath and sauna with heat stroke, for having made us have lunch under umbrellas, which in addition to not covering the excessive places for the shade space, significantly burdened the work of the poor waiters who also used the sauna! Having pointed it out several times to one, I think the cashier, we were finally treated as if we were the ones who had handled the situation badly!! Thanks again for the sauna.. sometimes you just have to apologize and above all know how to listen to the customer!

01/05/2025: Entrati senza nessuna aspettativa, abbiamo pranzato nella piccola terrazza esterna molto curata. Menu’ locale con piatti rivisitati e presentati in maniera gourmet. Gradito il benvenuto dello chef ,ottimi i grissini fatti in casa. Cameriere giovane molto professionale. Ottimo rapporto qualità /prezzo.

26/04/2025: Very well looked after, clean and no frills restaurant on the beach. Exceptional service for precision, clarity, courtesy and professionalism. Very good starters, the raw meat really excellent. We asked for fried calamari and they told us that there were none, paradoxically we appreciated this because it shows that they work mostly on fresh fish. For first courses we had a really tasty spaghettone with black garlic, and a risotto which was also very good. The problem is that they were both a little ahead of cooking. Very good desserts, I don't know if the ice cream was artisanal because it was a little cold on the palate, but overall it worked, delicious carrot cake. A place we would happily return to.

17/05/2025: Das Personal ist zwar freundlich und zuvorkommend, aber die Speisen sind viel zu überteuert. Man hat das Gefühl, es gibt mehr Kellner und anderes Personal als Gäste.

13/04/2025: Un’esperienza gastronomica eccellente! Questo ristorante di pesce è una vera perla per gli amanti della cucina di mare. La qualità delle materie prime è altissima, il pesce freschissimo e cucinato con grande cura e creatività. Ogni piatto è un piccolo capolavoro, dagli antipasti crudi fino ai secondi più elaborati. Il servizio è attento, cortese e mai invadente. L’atmosfera rilassata e l’arredamento curato rendono l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. Abbiamo apprezzato in particolare gli antipasti e primi. Ottimo anche il rapporto qualità/prezzo, considerata la freschezza del pesce e il livello della cucina. Ci torneremo sicuramente e lo consigliamo vivamente a chi cerca una cena di pesce autentica e di qualità.

08/02/2025: Francamente mi aspettavo di più ed anche molto di più.....locale interno carino e ricercato... personale preparato ed a modo. Lista vini presente ma non completa. Piatti troppo scontati e senza sapori predominanti, praticamente abbastanza anonimi, con prederenza alla forma e non alla sostanza. Imbarazzante la frittura mista di mare. Particolarmente gli antipasti assai anonimo. Scelta minima nel menu, ed assenza quasi totale di piatti di terra. Insomma da non tornare. A scordavo prezzi alti, abbastanza alti e non giustificati.

28/05/2025: Food in restaurant was not good enough. The view and the place is beautiful, but portions were small and not that tasty. We took fish and octopus and it was a disappointment. Food costed around 100€ but the portions were small and didn’t worth the price. We expected more but unfortunately it didn’t fit the expectations. If you want to have a good diner you better think about some other place to go.

15/05/2025: We had booked through Forks for 8:30 pm. We were surprised to be called by the restaurant and told they'd told us to arrive at 7 pm 😱 something we hadn't noticed. In short, they pressured us to arrive as quickly as possible. We ordered two eight-course seafood menus. Overall, the menu was good, except for the dessert trio, which was too sweet. But we were served much too quickly. We'd barely finished our plate when the next one arrived. Luckily, the person who served us was very pleasant and her service was impeccable 👌 We left at 8:45 pm; the restaurant was almost empty. Maybe they wanted to finish earlier? In any case, bad experience with The Fork who sent us an email to tell us that we had not honored our 8 p.m. reservation for one person (even though there were 2 of us)🤔

20/05/2025: Trattoria tipica frequentata da locali che ha saputo mantenere la sua originalità e genuinità - Non sappiamo cosa scegliere e ci lasciamo consigliare dalla gentilissima proprietaria Mariolina che ci propone una selezione di antipasti di mare : battuta di tonno rosso al coltello , alici , sgombro al vapore , gamberi , seppia al vapore , verdure in pastella , cozze al forno , cozze gratinate ed altri piatti sempre a base di pesce ed uno più buono dell’altro . Saremmo sazie ma la voglia di assaggiare altro ci lascia tentare dalle orecchiette fatte in casa nel pomeriggio con farina d’orzo e di grano duro condite con sugo di pesce . E abbiamo fatto bene ad ascoltare la gola : buonissime . Chiudiamo con uno sgroppino e dei dolcetti locali ( divini amori- favolosi ) offerti dalla casa . Da tornare visto anche l’ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo e la calorosa accoglienza -

10/03/2025: Ospiti di in 50esimo anniversario di matrimonio siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpreso dalla bella location,abbiamo mangiato molto bene ,il servizio e la gentilezza del personale veramente merita un ringraziamento speciale. 23/04/2025: Ormai è un rito, dopo la visita a San Pio da Pietralcina, andiamo a mangiare in questo ristorante. Ambiente familiare, sul mare, cucina semplice, pesce fresco, disponibili anche antipasti crudi...molto buoni. Alla prossima occasione ci torneremo certamente.

02/05/2025: We only had water there and left because of the poor service. My host from hotel recommended there and I had already chosen menu to order at my hotel. The waiter or manager forced us to order lobster came in today. I was open to order it as recommended but it was duplicated menu selection what i wanted to order. So I asked menu again to order different one and the lobster. Then, the manager sighed right next to us and we couldn’t enjoy our dinner there. So we moved to the other ristaurante. I came to Polignano Amare on vacation and went here after receiving a recommendation from the hotel manager. The recommendations were good and there was a lot of delicious-looking food, so I decided on a menu at the hotel and went there, but the wine was fine for now and I declined it. They kept pressuring me that the lobster was coming in today. I heard that it goes well with tagliatale pasta, and since the menu I was planning to order was tagliatale noodles, I asked them to bring me the menu so I could order something else, and they sighed heavily. I thought I wouldn't be able to have a pleasant dinner on a pleasant vacation, so I told him I would only pay for the water, and he told me to just go. So I went to another nearby restaurant, Karapa, and it was much friendlier. Oh, it was a very unpleasant experience.
