Pasta was very nice. Caprese was with 2-3 cherry tomatoes. They were out of salad at the beginning of the service. Food was tasty though.

I visited this restaurant very close to the center of Ceglie Messapica on April 25th. I must say there were many tourists like me in the town, and naturally, this restaurant was no exception. There are also tables outside on the street, which isn't very wide, narrowing the lane where residents' cars and suppliers to the many businesses still pass, which is why we preferred to have lunch inside. Among the appetizers were seafood, which, being used to much else, I found to be poor, but still enjoyable. Then there was the peppered mussels, whose quality was above average in restaurants—and I'm referring to the brodetto used to flavor the black mussels. Finally, there was a grilled seafood platter and a mixed fried fish dish (which didn't have much of a fish dish other than anchovies... well, nothing but calamari and tiny shrimp), which was decidedly not appreciated. I was about to go to pay the bill when they brought us some traditional sweets and a limoncello on the house (very kind of them, at least).

My favorite pasta is carbonara but it had a mix of sea food, they changed the recipe for me, thanks for that. The service was good, the food was delicious. I have worked for years in horeca, it was amazing, so my review will be 5/5 stars on all subjects. I recommend others to visit it to.

Definitely the best restaurant I stumbled upon during my three-week road trip through Puglia. The service was discreet and efficient, the advice on choosing a local wine was perfect, and the traditional cuisine was delicious. A flawless experience at Taverna dei Domicani.

Every year I go to Ceglie for about 10 days. For me, Taverna di Domenicani is the best place to enjoy authentic, quality Apulian cuisine. The ingredients are of the highest quality and always fresh. The catch is the catch of the day. The owner is a wonderful person and truly professional. The service is precise, attentive, and meticulous.
The location is central, beneath Piazza del Plebiscito, the heart of Ceglie.
It's easily accessible on foot.
The restaurant is elegant and suitable for a romantic dinner or a dinner with friends. The atmosphere is serene and peaceful.
For us, it's our regular meeting place in Ceglie.
