11/04/2026: Great restaurant/pizzeria (but no pizza available for lunch) close to the centre of Lecce. Highly recommend the meat mixed grill (a large portion of beef, pork, chicken, sausage and a local kebab made with lamb organs called 'turcinieddhu'), the starter with mashed fava beans and local greens and the 'pittule', local fried dough balls. The servers are friendly and the service has been timely every time we've eaten here. Recommended.

06/06/2026: LOGISTICS: We booked for 10:30 PM. We sat down at 11:20 PM, it's now 12:23 AM and nothing has arrived yet: that says it all. Everything else is handmade: from the taralli (which I highly doubt since I've tried identical ones from supermarket bags and the bakery down the street) to the focaccia (not bad), to the grandmother's hand-embroidered tablecloths, to the very lager beer. Our request for two extra seats wasn't well received, and the service was rude. FOOD: The pizzas are excellent, with a fairly wide and original selection (even though the Margherita is THE pizza par excellence). The dough is homemade and easy to digest. BILL: Honest and quite fair. Finally, a place that charges a €2.50 cover charge but tries to make up for it in a friendly way. All things considered, the food was excellent, while organizationally and logisticalally, we finished dinner after 1:00 a.m. (with one guest still finishing their pizza). On a positive note, we were offered an excellent artisanal limoncello to round off the evening in the best possible way.

02/06/2026: I love this place! I went there with a friend and we had an amazing meal! The appetizers are excellent and varied (I recommend the cod croquettes), and they offer a variety of first courses and pizzas, from classic to more unique. The service is welcoming and warm. If you want to try carefully prepared and varied cuisine, this is the perfect place! Highly recommended.

08/06/2026: One of Lecce's little gems. Went there on our hosts recommendation and what a result! Good rustic fayre at a reasonable price. It's very busy and popular with locals and tourists alike. Both pasta dishes we had were house prepared and delightfully unique. A good and reasonably priced wine list and friendly professional staff. We were very happy and "molto pieno" after our meal. We will be back 😊

07/06/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant, which is recommended in the 2026 edition of the Routard guide. The fritura completa was excellent, as was the house red wine. A must-try!

01/06/2026: We celebrated my mother's birthday, we ate raw fish and I got sick there at the restaurant while my father got food poisoning from raw fish.

01/06/2026: Absolute disappointment, land menu, low quality cured meats without cheese, two frozen croquettes, a slice of meat 50 euros, the tourist menu is better, fish menu 3 small things per person, many tastings of prizes, poor wine, excellent sea bream, a bit of raw fish 70 euros per person, avoid it, much better in Barletta, Risto95 or at the old oven, believe me, the owner of the monastery thinks he's a smart guy. Disappointment

06/06/2026: Excellent restaurant in the city center, small but very welcoming. The staff is friendly and accommodating, and they make you feel at home. Superior quality dishes, all very fresh, excellent raw fish, phenomenal first courses, and the famous Pasta all'Assassina, the best in Bari. Recommended.

14/05/2026: We entered Bar Cortigiano, and it wasn't our first time there. We were already familiar with the old management, so we immediately noticed the change. This time, we were asked to pay in advance, and we were a bit surprised. We ordered a peach juice for €5, but after about half an hour, it still hadn't arrived. Meanwhile, however, other customers seated after us were already being served coffees and beers without any problems. At that point, we had to complain, pointing out that we had already paid but our drinks hadn't arrived yet. We felt that the organization was poorly organized and the management had deteriorated compared to the past. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience compared to how we remembered the place.

10/05/2026: I just went to Cortigiano for a coffee. I thought it was a classy place, but instead I found unprepared staff and above all, those who don't know the difference between casein allergy and lactose intolerance. It's absurd, given that they should have the knowledge and a certificate. But the most shameful scene is the PDP in which a chef turned to the pastry chef saying "move, aren't you talking to your friends? All this in front of customers, really, after the staff runs the place??? And surely if tasty desserts or dishes come out, it's thanks to the chef??? Absurd. They never went again. Highly not recommended, and above all, they didn't have a list of allergens and ingredients in sight of what they do as per HCCP regulations.

17/06/2026: Our friends were staying at that hotel, and we went to check it out and enjoy a distinguished and elegant dinner at the restaurant. Highly recommended

09/06/2026: Beautiful hotel, very friendly service. Good breakfast, lovely view as the hotel is located at the top of the mountain, parking available, beach is about a 10-minute walk away. The beach is pebbly, but it's manageable.

10/06/2026: Beautiful location amidst historic buildings, you can also dine outside, very charming. The house appetizers are a roundup of Puglia with an explosion of flavors. First courses are superb, desserts are delicious! Compliments for the service and customer care.

13/05/2026: We were on holiday, the hotel and the staff were extraordinary good. They have own parking place front of the hotel. The breakfast is great. The castle and the port are near, and the centrum and beaches aren't far. We would come back if we could.

06/04/2026: Rustic and welcoming atmosphere. Good service. The first courses (sagne with farmer's torte, casarecce, and cavatelli with mussels and potatoes) were excellent and plentiful. The mixed fried fish was light and not greasy. The lamb rolls were a bit bland in flavor. The desserts (warm apple puff pastry and dark chocolate and rum spumoncino) were excellent.

21/04/2026: Definitely busy based on their Spaghetti all'assassina basically fried spaghetti with a little heat (less than anticipated). Make sure to have a reservation. Wine is cheaper by quantify - order a litre. Other pasta is very flavourful.

15/04/2026: I came to this restaurant with one sole purpose: to eat the Spaghetti all'Assassina, which is why this restaurant is often mentioned. Well, I can only say that they are EXCEPTIONAL, truly a dish worthy of A+. I can only compliment the Chef for the mastery with which he brings this dish to life. If you come to Bari, "you knew..."
