13/01/2026: LOCATION: The Lido Giardino di Monsignore Pizzeria and Restaurant is located in Contrada Torre del Porto in Mattinata. A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: This restaurant is well-known among tourists and locals alike. When you arrive, you can enjoy an incredible view of the sea. Especially at sunset, when the sun disappears behind the rocks, the sea is tinged with various colors. On the several occasions I've been, I've enjoyed both the fish-based first and second courses, as well as the pizzas. Each dish reflects the tradition of the Gargano. The restaurant has ample parking, a significant detail in an area that's very busy during the summer months. The photographs I took are testimonies that tell a story, more than a thousand words. FUN FACT: DID YOU KNOW THAT...? The Port Tower was one of the ancient coastal towers built in the 16th century to guard against Ottoman pirate raids. 05/01/2026: Last Saturday, January 3, 2026, six of us had a wonderful meal at this trattoria. We had, among other things, a delicious pasta with mushrooms and sausage, fried fish, and various types of grilled meat. The portions are very generous, and Giuseppe goes above and beyond to please his guests.

07/12/2025: We stopped for a quick bite, like an appetizer. The very kind waiter recommended the house appetizer for two. More than just an appetizer! It was like lunch, as they added a sample of risotto, which was delicious. Highly recommended for the quality of the food and the kindness of the staff.

31/01/2026: One of the best restaurants in Polignano. We went for lunch in a well-kept building with an elegant and refined interior dining room, with a view directly out onto the sea from the windows—a truly unique view, absolute silence. Agnolotti with grouper, mezzemaniche with clams and datterino tomatoes, spaghetti with sbirulina seaweed—each dish was better than the next. The fried calamari was exceptional, light and delicate, a truly superior pleasure after the excellent first courses. The wine list was comprehensive and of excellent quality and variety. The only flaw...but truly unique...at the end of a truly enjoyable seafood meal...mango sorbet...not lemon...absolutely worth a try. Thank goodness the coffee was worthy of a gourmet. The final bill was absolutely affordable considering the quality offered and the first-rate location. An experience definitely worth repeating.

16/11/2025: Hotel located on a hill in Mattinata with breathtaking views of the beach and town. Clean and comfortable room with two entrances, one from the parking lot and one from the porch with panoramic views. Excellent breakfast served under a beautiful pergola on a warm October day. Friendly and professional staff. Ample parking. The nearest beach and marina are just a few minutes' walk away. Definitely worth a try.

05/11/2025: It's closed, but open for a cup of coffee between work shifts. So the service is excellent. It was also a chilly day, closing the season. So I didn't really get a good impression. But I think it looks fantastic when it's busy and summery. The surrounding area is nice. So the review isn't high, but I'm guessing it's normally much better.

We had a hard time finding the entrance, but just call and they'll direct you (from the dirt road, continue straight, turn right, and you're there; then walk to the beach walkway, marked with lights and torches). Excellent seafood, right on the waterfront. A welcoming, elegant atmosphere that makes you feel at home.
