LOGISTICS: We booked for 10:30 PM. We sat down at 11:20 PM, it's now 12:23 AM and nothing has arrived yet: that says it all. Everything else is handmade: from the taralli (which I highly doubt since I've tried identical ones from supermarket bags and the bakery down the street) to the focaccia (not bad), to the grandmother's hand-embroidered tablecloths, to the very lager beer. Our request for two extra seats wasn't well received, and the service was rude.
FOOD: The pizzas are excellent, with a fairly wide and original selection (even though the Margherita is THE pizza par excellence). The dough is homemade and easy to digest.
BILL: Honest and quite fair. Finally, a place that charges a €2.50 cover charge but tries to make up for it in a friendly way.
All things considered, the food was excellent, while organizationally and logisticalally, we finished dinner after 1:00 a.m. (with one guest still finishing their pizza). On a positive note, we were offered an excellent artisanal limoncello to round off the evening in the best possible way.

I love this place! I went there with a friend and we had an amazing meal! The appetizers are excellent and varied (I recommend the cod croquettes), and they offer a variety of first courses and pizzas, from classic to more unique. The service is welcoming and warm. If you want to try carefully prepared and varied cuisine, this is the perfect place! Highly recommended.

I ate here tonight. We started dinner with an olive oil tasting with artisanal bread and taralli. We had cod croquettes and a plate of caciocavallo cheese in four textures, a truly unique dish that's hard to find in the area.
We had two pizzas, one with chicken in particular; the closed pizza was phenomenal. We finished dinner with two desserts: an ice cream with coffee foam and some small, beautiful, and delicious tarts. Excellent service; I highly recommend it.

I had a truly wonderful meal, excellent food, excellent cod croquettes, and the caciocavallo cheese in four textures was truly unique and delicious, from hot to cold, innovative. The pizzas, as always, were phenomenal, with sophisticated flavors. Impeccable service, olive oil tasting with their hot focaccia. Very kind and knowledgeable staff. Beautiful, quiet, and clean location. I recommend it to everyone.

I've never had such a good and unique pizza...the homemade fries are delicious.

I would have preferred a wider selection of beers, but in this context, the craft beers don't disappoint.

I'm a regular at Pepe Nero, and in my opinion, they serve the absolute best pizza, even compared to more famous Italian names.
The dough is extraordinary: light, soft, and pleasantly crunchy. The ingredients are clearly top-quality, authentic, and often sourced locally from Puglia, the result of careful selection by Daniele, the owner.
Among the many options, my favorites are:
🥇 Parmigiana
🥈 Genovese in Bari
🥉 Nostromo
Although, truth be told, they're all excellent, these three truly reach a "divine" level for me.
I've also included a photo of their Christmas panettone: simply phenomenal, just like the pizza.
Believe me, I wasn't paid to write this review 🙂, but after years of frequenting them, I really felt the need to recognize the commitment, talent, and passion of these guys. Congratulations

The food here is absolutely delicious, every dish was a pure delight. A special mention must go to the strawberry tartlet, which is simply melt-in-your-mouth perfection and a must-try. Everything was beautifully presented and recommended by our wonderful waitress Erika, whose warmth and attentiveness made our visit truly special. Although the rest of the staff didn’t speak English, the genuine friendliness and hospitality we felt from the very moment we walked in until the very end made us feel as if we were dining with old friends. A fantastic place to experience the true local spirit. Highly recommend, outstanding food and incredibly warm-hearted people. We will definitely be back! ☺️

Everything was absolutely wonderful here! Erika was incredibly helpful, and the entire staff greeted us with smiles from the moment we walked in. You really feel welcomed and well taken care of — everything is explained, every detail is thought through, and you can tell they genuinely care about remembering their guests. 😊
This place definitely deserves a visit. It seems to be more of a local favourite than a tourist spot, but if you get the chance, drop in — you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
