08/04/2026: Easter Monday lunch. We had a wonderful time, the staff were very welcoming, and the quality of the products used was exceptional. A small flaw was that the first two wines chosen from the menu were not available in the cellar.

15/03/2026: We had the pleasure of dining at Antica Carrera, and I must say it was a truly special evening. The restaurant is elegant yet welcoming, with a relaxed atmosphere that allows you to enjoy your dinner in peace. We started with the "Fantasia di Mare all'Antica Carrera" appetizer, truly rich and prepared with great care. Everything was fresh and well-balanced in flavor. The buffalo mozzarella with calamari and drops of pesto was also very interesting, an original combination that perfectly blends sea and land. Among the dishes that impressed me most was the seared salmon steak with mango coulis and Cyprus black salt: perfectly cooked, delicate flavors, and a truly pleasant balance thanks to the fresh note of the mango. To conclude, we tried the millefeuille with Chantilly cream and berries and the tiramisu, both excellent, light, and prepared with great care. All accompanied by a good wine that made the dinner even more enjoyable. A special thanks goes to Massimo, who clearly puts passion, care, and attention to every detail of the restaurant. Congratulations on his work: creating a place where quality, hospitality, and professionalism meet is no given. Thanks also to the waiters, always kind, helpful, and attentive throughout the evening. I think I've tried some of the best pasta dishes of my life: the ravioli with shrimp, cheese, etc. was CRAZY! We also tried the fettuccine with octopus and ricotta, which was also very good. 10/10 experience, and 11/10 food!

12/04/2026: We chose this place based on the reviews, and I can only say we hit the nail on the head. From the moment we made our reservation over the phone, they were friendly and courteous. The welcome was equally attentive. The food was delicious and fresh. The location is central, easy to reach, and the service is well-maintained and familiar. The waiters were discreet and kind. The owner was cheerful and kind, making sure everything was fine between the tables. We ordered everything fish-based: two fish appetizers, one first course, one second course, water, and two glasses of wine for a total of €90. Truly, top marks for every aspect. Recommended if you're visiting Gaeta.

26/09/2025: We tried the restaurant, staying at the hotel, with the à la carte menu. The view is the most beautiful on Ponza, a marvelous terrace overlooking Chiaia di Luna beach. The menu is different for lunch and dinner, both satisfying. The prices are obviously high, but for the location and the quality, they're justified. The service is perfect, very professional. For dinner, we tried the fried calamari and grilled calamari on a potato cake, both excellent. The salad was also a surprise. The dessert was a bit disappointing. For lunch, the spaghetti with clams and bottarga was excellent. And so was the seafood salad. A feast for the eyes and the palate.

20/09/2025: Let me start by saying that I'm not interested in denigrating anyone, but rather in encouraging improvement. I'm giving it two stars because you expect more from a four-star hotel restaurant. The location isn't enough—it's very beautiful, and the ambiance is also very good—but the rest is needed. The service could be improved, especially regarding the cutlery arrangement and maintaining the same non-standard servings for two people. Then there's the food. A dish that "ran out" at 8:30 PM should be removed from the menu, and you shouldn't wait to be asked to tell us so. We ordered two first courses, which, based on their names, raised certain expectations, but the flavors were very distant and basic (the base was tomato, and that was basically all we could taste). Then there was the fried fish, which left us unsure about the freshness of the fish, but that's an unprovable feeling. Then there was the side salad (mixed salad with citrus and dried fruit) that tasted like coarsely chopped, bagged salad from the supermarket. With water and a half bottle of white wine, we paid over €100 for two. Now, if you want to stay in that price range you have to raise the quality bar!

08/04/2026: On Easter Monday, six of us went to Vincenzo's for dinner. We started with two appetizers for six people, then three lobster linguine and three risottos with scampi cream: so far, everything was fine, and the dishes were even good. The problem came with the main courses: truly subpar dishes and very disappointing portions. A portion of prawns and scampi contained only one prawn, one prawn, and a small piece of sea bream shaped like a meatball, with a quarter of an artichoke. Honestly, for €30 a plate, I expected at least three prawns and three prawns. We ordered three of these dishes in total, then another plate with baked potatoes and another small piece of sea bream (also shaped like a meatball) for a friend of mine, for €40, and fried calamari. To drink, two bottles of wine for €27 each. Total for 5 main courses: €462, not even including a coffee. That's €77 per person, a price you wouldn't even pay in much more renowned restaurants in Rome. I'm sorry, but after this experience, I really don't think I'll be back.
