Acqua Pazza In Ponza

My partner and I had dinner at Acqua Pazza, as we wanted to have a fine dining experience in Ponza, to celebrate the ending of our vacation in summer 2023. We went for the tasting menu whose dishes you can find in the pictures I am attaching to the review. We found the food well-cooked, simple, and yet tasty: personally, the dishes which really stood-out were the little ravioli with liquid tomato sauce and the chocolate dessert with several consistencies. The wine pairing was perfect as we savoured a white wine locally produced. There were - however - two negative sides to notice. Understanding we are taking about fine dining and high-end restaurants, we personally prefer a more informal atmosphere: we noticed that the restaurant manager was overly present and supervising all the operations, which made the experience a little bit too tight - maybe this can open a room for discussion and supervise the staff from a more distant situation. Secondly, a young couple started to smoke electronic cigarette in the table close to ours (thankfully, they left soon), with no action taken. Overall, I would recommend trying this restaurant as the location on the cliff is A+MAZING, the food and the wine pairing are worth it, and we had a great and romantic night.

It is the only starred restaurant in Ponza and there must be a reason. Intimate and welcoming place with a wonderful sea view. I found the tasting menu excellent as well as the attention and service (even if we had to ask to slow down for a moment to avoid eating hastily). The entire menu is top-notch but the cuttlefish appetizer with pea and artichoke cream is truly superb. The swordfish marinated in soy was also cooked impeccably and very tasty. Sweet final level. The tasting menu costs 90 euros and is worth every penny.

Breathtaking location, fast service a little too zealous especially when pouring the wine to the point of drinking it hot. Excellent tempura, tortelli filled with special red snapper. Stir-fried. Dried red snapper carpaccio. Excellent choice of wines.

Il ristorante si trova in alto, con una vista mozzafiato sulla meravigliosa insenatura del porto di Ponza, ma chiamarlo ristorante è riduttivo perché in realtà si tratta di una location che si estende su più piani, a strapiombo sul mare (vi sono una terrazza più in alto, chiamata "lounge" e terrazze più in basso per aperitivi ecc.) e un vero must è che i tavolini sono in unica fila, sicché ognuno gode di un' ottima vista panoramica. Il cibo conferma le impressioni positive sul posto, perché è eccellente: la tempura è risultata semplicemente perfetta, i dolci originali e ottimi; un'attenzione gradita gli stuzzichini offerti, notevole il pane. Il conto è stato "importante", ma assolutamente giustificato, così come meritata è a nostro avviso la stella Michelin. Personale molto cortese ed efficiente.

Fantastic location, attentive, discreet and efficient service. Too bad the food no longer lives up to the hype. Insufficient wine list and with excessive mark-ups. Disproportionate account.

Highly qualified staff with uncommon courtesy, excellent food, excellent value for money, and last but not least a breathtaking view of the entire island, top.

I don't think the best restaurant in Ponza in terms of menu, service and breathtaking view needs reviews. One evening at dinner I met two girls who had come from Australia to eat at Acquapazza!!! :)

Semplicemente SUBLIME. Un mix perfetto di: Atmosfera: elegante e romantica Location: talmente bella da non poter essere rappresentata ne da una foto che da una cartolina Cibo: freschezza assoluta degli ingredienti cucinati sapientemente ed eccellemente presentati Servizio: attento, cortese e professionale Assolutamente da ritornare, complimenti a tutto lo staff Prezzo? Assolutamente in linea con quanto proposto. Ho difficoltà a trovare il pelo nell'uovo.

Esperienza fantastica. Location suggestiva, personale attento e preparato. Pesce freschissimo (a differenza di molti altri ristoranti nell’isola) con presentazioni da stella michelin. Nota estremamente positiva anche per i dessert assaggiati. Siamo venuti per festeggiare il compleanno di mia figlia e siamo rimasti più che soddisfatti.
