03/05/2026: A simple restaurant with excellent food, fresh fish, generous portions, and excellent service. We've been here two nights in a row and will be back.

12/04/2026: We were guests for a day at the beach. The buffets were amazing and authentic. The staff was courteous and attentive.

01/05/2026: I came here to eat with my parents to celebrate my dad's birthday. We had octopus salad and paella Gaetana. The mussels were also very good as an appetizer. The waitress is very attentive and stays in the dining room with the guests; service is very fast. I recommend making a reservation. At 1:00 PM, the place was almost empty, and it was a holiday; it gradually filled up.

07/03/2026: Tremendous old school cooking in a place that looks like it hasn't changed in decades. We were recommended to come here by the boss of La Salute which was closed for renovation. Terrific antipasti selection. Worth a visit.

25/02/2026: A historic restaurant in Gaeta, every time you go on a trip, you eat at Masaniello. The fish is incredibly fresh, the service is impeccable, and the prices are affordable.

30/12/2025: I visited this pub as a couple and had a truly pleasant experience. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always available, making us feel immediately at ease. The quality of the meat is excellent, well-cooked, and flavorful; you can sense the attention to detail in selecting the ingredients. The place is beautiful, well-kept, and very welcoming, perfect for a quiet evening or just to spend time with friends. Definitely a place to return to.

23/11/2025: Terrible November 2025 A beautiful and well-maintained place, except that the service was so terrible that we left, warning them that this isn't the way to behave, and without having eaten anything. At 12:45, a friend and I sat down because from the outside it looked like an inspiring place. Upon entering, we found a table (practically served) and a table that had already ordered, and then it was just us. Within a few minutes, we took our order, which consisted of two plates of bruschetta (three bruschettas per plate) and two glasses of white wine. Around 1:00, the wine arrived, and so far so good, but then time began to pass and we began to have some doubts. At 1:40, we decided that if another five minutes had passed without seeing the bruschetta, we would have left. Meanwhile, in those 40 minutes (40 minutes for six bruschettas), two more tables were seated and ordered. At 1:45 PM, after an hour, the bruschetta was brought to the table, unfortunately not ours, where the gentlemen had sat down practically fifteen minutes earlier. Maybe they didn't like the fact that we only wanted an aperitif, or I don't know, but it's truly unreasonable to wait about 50 minutes for six bruschetta that we've practically never seen. I can understand if there had been a lot of people, full tables, and so many orders, but it really wasn't the case, so we stood up, thanked them, told them that they shouldn't do that, and left. Never again.

03/05/2026: Dated structure and 1980s decor, service and attitude stuck in those days, too few waiters for so many people. The seafood risotto was overcooked and would have been fine for toothless elderly people, the fried food arrived cold, the seafood salad tasteless and salty, and lacking extra virgin olive oil. The price was high for the quality of the food and service. It's just a shame we had to detour about 150 km to eat these dishes.

01/05/2026: We were there today for the first time and we will definitely be back, we ate very well, very abundant dishes and excellent service, thanks next time.

19/04/2026: From the moment you walk in the door, you feel truly welcomed, not with a textbook plastic smile, but with the genuine care you see less and less often. The service is attentive without being intrusive, fast but never rushed. You can tell that the people who work here love what they do. And the food... the food speaks for itself. Every dish has a story to tell: carefully selected ingredients, flavors that make sense, presentation meticulous without being overbearing. Nothing forced, everything about substance. Mare Fritto isn't just a restaurant. It's one of those rare places you return to not just to eat well, but simply because you feel good.

23/03/2026: The service was top-notch. We were greeted by a lovely waitress and the chef himself. We ordered Scoglio and Fritto misto. The portions are quite large. Everything was delicious. The ingredients were fresh. We'd love to come back again. Visited March 2026

I have to say, everything was 5-star, from the quality of the food (essential) to the service and your kindness, even in calling me back when I tried to call at lunchtime but you were closed. Well done! The dishes were beautifully plated, the portions were just right, the bread was excellent, and the homemade pasta was amazing. Kudos also for the "vodapiatto" (a typical dish-to-table presentation) here in Gaeta, but most restaurants aren't up to par, whereas yours was excellent. I'll be back soon to try other dishes.

13/04/2026: Three people, three pizzas, two 04 beers, a small plate of fried food for three, a bottle of water, €73.00, honestly... Then there are the hops, €10. What the heck is that?

26/03/2026: Lunch with some colleagues during the Youth Festival. The pizzeria was packed, yet we were served quickly. The pizzas are excellent, cooked in a wood-fired oven right in front of you. The appetizers were delicious, especially the seafood. Excellent value!
