28/08/2025: It's with regret that I can't leave more than one review, for the wine selection, the sandwiches, the fried foods, and the food. Everything is WONDERFUL. Not to mention the hospitality and kindness of the owner and his family, wonderful people with whom it's a real pleasure to chat. Worthy of note: spaghetti with clams, fried calamari and shrimp, and the breaded fetta sandwich—handmade, not the industrial junk they dish out at other places. I'm just sorry that my work stint in Paola will soon take me away from here, because it would have been my favorite place.

14/10/2025: I visited this restaurant, the location is great, the staff is helpful and friendly. The food is a bit salty for me, I didn't get the taste I expect in a restaurant, and the price is a bit too high for the taste.

12/10/2025: Very poor dishes; paying 28 euros for 40 grams of spaghetti with lobster is really a lot!! The appetizer was very simple and disappointing.

21/10/2025: We recently visited this place. The mussels were excellent...the seafood scialatielli were delicious...the desserts were also good. Perhaps I would have served the octopus in a concave dish and with a thicker mashed potato. The waiters were very friendly, helpful, and kind. The prices were perhaps a little high...overall, a positive experience. I recommend this place.

30/09/2025: We ate very well, the pizzas were excellent, however I took off a star for the tiramisu which was frozen and I found out once it arrived on the table... a bit disappointing for a restaurant in Italy

20/09/2025: Clean environment, menu updated daily. I've been a customer for years now, and I particularly enjoy lunch at this restaurant, where all the staff, especially Ida, are professional.

02/11/2025: Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The food was completely bland and tasteless — honestly something worse than terrible. The atmosphere felt like a wedding hall, with no warmth or character, and during our meal The Simpsons were playing loudly on the TV, which totally ruined the mood. The service was fairly good, but not enough to save the experience. The prices were outrageously high for the quality offered. I honestly wonder how there can be so many positive reviews — or if there’s something I’m missing.

28/09/2025: I have been there and continue to go.... I have celebrated my wedding promise, baptism, my daughter's first birthday and many other occasions and have always had a great time.

09/09/2025: Delicious local food, a family-run atmosphere with very friendly staff ready to accommodate every need. Compared to all the exorbitant prices you hear about at Lido Gelsomino, the prices are more than affordable. It will be my vacation spot again next year.

22/08/2025: Nice beach with everything you need. The fish isn't fresh; everything tastes the same. Poor value for money.

06/09/2025: The restaurant looks good, with ample level parking and indoor and outdoor spaces. The terrace is ventilated by two ceiling fans, and the indoor dining area is cooled by two split units and a column cooler. Service is very quick. The pizza dough is decidedly thin. What I didn't like was the lack of clarity on the menu: if the menu says the Margherita DOC pizza is only made with buffalo mozzarella, why add regular mozzarella? From the pictures, however, I can see that the cuisine is very varied, so I'll revise this review if I try other dishes and find them appealing.

14/08/2025: The food was pretty good, but the service was terrible. There were so many people and so few staff. There was only one person taking orders, but the most absurd thing was having to wait over 20 minutes at the cash register for someone to pay.

21/09/2025: The quality of the fish is excellent. The service is professional, and the location is beautiful. A good selection of dishes, 4/5 of each type, without those endlessly long tourist menus. Prices are in line with seaside seafood restaurants. Highly recommended... And then, in mid-September, with the beach half-empty and the sea in front... peace of mind.

11/09/2025: Amazing experience on the beach of Scalea. Great food supporting by pleasant service and surrounded by relaxing atmosphere. We are looking forward to returning soon...
