The restaurant is centrally located in a charming little square. The seafood dinner was exceptional. Everything was so fresh. The appetizers were plentiful, and the seafood carbonara was excellent. The desserts were special: cannoli and tiramisu (the latter homemade by the owner). Well done!!! We'll be back.

We found ourselves in this very quaint little restaurant, and from the moment we were greeted, we knew it was the right place. The food is superb, made with quality, local products. The appetizer platter embodies the flavors of Calabria, but, at the recommendation of Carmine, the waiter, we also tried the shrimp with pecorino cheese, honey, and Tropea onions...simply sublime! We loved it so much we returned three nights in a row!!! The spaghetti with garlic, oil, chili pepper, and shrimp tartare also deserves special mention. Oh, and I almost forgot, the tiramisu by Roberto, the owner: lots of cream and very little biscuit...in short, the perfect tiramisu!! We felt right at home, thanks to Gaia and Roberto and all the staff who welcomed us and made us feel right at home! If you're passing through Tropea, definitely try their cuisine; you'll be amazed.

Everything was perfect, from the location to the friendly service and the food... a special mention for Mr. Tiramisu, who is truly amazing.

My partner and I had dinner at REM and were pleasantly impressed by the intimate and quiet location, the attentive and fast service, and above all, the deliciousness and presentation of the dishes. The prices are fair, in line with the quality and quantity of the products offered. We will recommend REM to anyone who tells us about Tropea. 😍

The REM Tropea Vecchia restaurant is nestled in a quaint little square in the center of Tropea, near the Cathedral. I had lunch there with my family and we enjoyed both the food and the hospitality. Excellent value.
