29/07/2025: Ai Giechi is a trattoria with a difference! The cuisine is top-notch, the selection of ingredients is meticulous, and the dishes are generous (a unique feature for the island). The wine is excellent and served with great care. The service is truly efficient, the place is quiet, and the atmosphere is very welcoming. The quality/quantity/price ratio is very good considering the island's standards. The next day I met the owner, Mr. Nino, on the shoreline waiting for the local fishermen to land, ready to grab the best catch! Calling it a "trattoria" is an understatement! Rating: 10! Highly recommended!!!

10/08/2025: Typical dishes of adequate quality, simple atmosphere. Service was quick but not particularly friendly. The owner couldn't wait for us to get up because of the evening closing time (around 11 PM). But in a tourist destination like Alghero, in the middle of summer, you can't be so intolerant. Nothing special. I don't recommend it, and I definitely won't be back!

03/08/2025: Trattoria Maristella: Authentic, Retro, and with Potential Dinner for three at Trattoria Maristella, in the heart of Alghero. A friendly welcome, a true trattoria atmosphere, and waiters in classic uniforms (white shirts, black pants, and bow ties). The menu includes handwritten notes, some of which are barely legible—a detail that could be improved. We order an Anemone di Sella & Mosca rosé, water, and start with fried anemones (sea anemones): crispy and flavorful. Followed by: Chef's spaghetti with squid, shrimp, scampi, and orange zest: successful, balanced combinations. Compliments to the chef! Spaghetti with sea urchins: flavorful, true to tradition. Culurgiones: well-balanced filling, a shame about the slightly undercooked portion. Grilled squid: good but lacking in sparkle. Fried calamari: tender but a bit rubbery, probably due to the oil not being hot enough. Desserts: Seadas with too much honey on top and bottom, which covered the other flavors; a revisited tiramisu with zabaglione, good but too much coffee at the bottom. A negative note on the service: when asked about the ingredients and preparation of the tiramisu, the waiter replied that it was "classic," ignoring the zabaglione. Only after my observation did he ask a colleague for confirmation. A detail that weighs on the experience. In summary: authentic cuisine, a retro and non-touristy atmosphere, appropriate portions, and well-conceived dishes. With small adjustments (a more refined menu, greater precision in the dining room), it can express even more potential. Approved.

11/06/2025: They up charged us as well as didn't provide menus. Saying "That got us" costing us over 400€ plus that night.. Also the food quality was not that good. Once uou walk in you'll notice that there are not alot of customers. Please AVOID THIS PLACE! ESPECIALLY MILITARY!!!

27/04/2025: Per un’esperienza “totalizzante” su piatti di pesce, questo è “the place to be”, il posto dove andare. La qualità del cibo, l’attenzione con la quale verrete serviti e l’ambiente raffinato sono gli elementi che mi hanno colpito fin dalla mia prima visita. La varietà del menù accontenterà tutti gli amanti del pesce, dal crudo al cotto per concludere con dolci speciali e fatti al momento (come il tiramisù).

23/04/2025: Il 14 settembre 2024 abbiamo festeggiato il nostro matrimonio in questa meravigliosa location, e non potevamo desiderare di meglio. Fin dal primo incontro con Davide, Stefania ed Eva ci siamo sentiti ascoltati, accolti e guidati con una professionalità che non perde mai il calore umano. Ogni dettaglio, dalla cena di prova al grande giorno, è stato curato con attenzione e passione. Lo staff è stato incredibilmente disponibile, attento ad ogni nostra esigenza e sempre pronto a proporre idee originali che hanno reso l’evento davvero unico. Il clima era accogliente e cordiale, un perfetto equilibrio tra familiarità e grande competenza. Abbiamo scelto insieme il menù, lo abbiamo provato in anticipo e ne siamo rimasti entusiasti: ogni portata era una piccola opera d’arte, deliziosa e particolare. Un grande punto di forza è stata la sensibilità verso le esigenze alimentari degli ospiti — tra celiaci, vegetariani, intolleranze e allergie, tutti hanno ricevuto piatti dedicati, senza rinunciare alla qualità e alla creatività. Tra i momenti più divertenti, la composizione della torta fatta da noi sposi: un’idea bellissima che ha coinvolto gli invitati e regalato risate e partecipazione. La location è davvero magica, con un giardino curatissimo e una piscina che la sera, con le luci e le foto, ha creato un’atmosfera incantevole. A mezzanotte, i mitici panini "onti": un successo clamoroso! E il rito della sabbia, proposto dallo staff, è stato un momento simbolico e commovente che porteremo sempre con noi. Un’esperienza indimenticabile. Grazie di cuore a tutto lo staff per aver reso il nostro giorno perfetto!

A large varied menu with many typical dishes, it also offers fixed-price lunches of 35 euros in which there are three abundant main courses with quality products. The service is attentive and courteous. The environment is spacious and bright, large internal and external rooms. A restaurant that is worth a visit to taste the delicious dishes. Recommended

02/08/2025: Dinner for two. Unfortunately, we have to agree with the latest reviews we've read here on Google. The food quality didn't live up to expectations (large, tasteless raw seafood, tagliolini with caviar and red shrimp cooked in olive oil, various types of bread and breadsticks that were actually stale, but the sea urchin linguine was good). It's a shame because the location is worth it, and the staff are friendly, although there are a few flaws, including their insistence on serving you the wine they have open, rather than the one you choose. Expectations were dashed.

28/07/2025: Wonderful trattoria in the center of Fondi. This is where the locals eat since the food is so good. We had pasta dishes and seafood which were all great. Compliments to the chef and the kind servers. We will be back soon!!! Grazie

24/07/2025: Mi sono fidato delle recensioni e sono andato a provare questo locale. Tutto è stato cucinato al momento con ingredienti del posto e in modo abbastanza semplice e genuino. La cameriera è stata simpatica e efficiente, ma quello che ho apprezzato di più è stata la schiettezza e onestà dello chef, con cui ho chiacchierato, riguardo agli ingredienti dei suoi piatti e al suo lavoro in generale. Consiglio solo di avere un pochino di pazienza perché per per cucinare al momento ci vuole tempo. Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo

07/05/2025: A superb, unexpected evening! We had a blast! Delicious dishes, especially the pumpkin tagliatelle & gnochiete! This little restaurant is much better than those in the city center, real homemade and tasty cuisine. The server was adorable and gave good advice. I highly recommend this restaurant!
