The food was sensational and looked the part. An absolute recommendation and a must-visit in this region for anyone who appreciates excellent cuisine and its value.

Tucked inside the Gardena Grödnerhof Hotel & Spa, it blends South Tyrolean roots with a modern mindset, delivering plates that are light, precise, and quietly luxurious alongside a deep, confident cellar curated by an expert sommelier. The room is a love letter to Alpine craft: timber walls and ceilings, soft light, and round tables that make conversation easy—more contemporary Stube than rustic chalet, and freshly renewed in the latest renovation. That warm wood sets the stage for a slow, unrushed meal, where attentive service moves at the pace of the table and the wine pairings land like little high‑fives throughout the night. Chef Reimund Brunner’s cooking leans local but never insular, folding in pristine seafood and bright acids so dishes feel lifted rather than heavy—think Alto Adige spirit with a modern, lighter touch and less butter and sugar by design. 04/09/2025: I went for lunch the last week of August and despite its name, at lunch they have another menu, practically non-existent; the dishes ordered were not good, including a typical local dish such as eggs, speck and potatoes, if they didn't feel like cooking they could have said so.... Too bad.

10/09/2025: After many more stays here, we would like to add the particularly warm guest service from the young waiter Kevin: he is already an exceptional talent in his profession, but his individual approach to guests makes the restaurant visit a special one (added on September 8, 2025, from 5 p.m.) 🫶 Great hospitality from the boss: a special thank you for that! The restaurant was full at 7 p.m., and unfortunately, we didn't have a reservation... within a few moments, this wonderful lady conjured up magic for us 🌟 and organized a romantic spot for two: She is a true professional with ❤ heart! The food was delicious.... An additional recommendation from us: Here you can find the perfect garlic sauce anywhere. Tastes delicious with pizza! The service was spot on and deserves a special mention! We wholeheartedly recommend it

21/08/2025: The staff at Gastof Kohlern made us feel like we were the only guests on site. They were a attentive, kind, and truly built a relationship from the moment we checked in. The views from the property are unmatched. You can see the entire Bolzano city and valleys beyond. Looking at the mountainside with vineyards and villages from our balcony was like looking at a painting! Incredibly peaceful after a day of hiking. You will not get this view from Ortisei or Brixen, I can guarantee that! From the coursed dinners, to the thoughtful interiors, to the relaxing treatment from Nadine, this hotel checked all the boxes. The owners of this hotel are present and put so much care to your experience. They went above and beyond. Thank you Natalie, Josef and our new friends in the Dolomites!

19/08/2025: We discovered this inn through "My Local, Your Local." Since we're currently on vacation in South Tyrol, we didn't want to miss the opportunity to visit. The food was delicious and the service very attentive and friendly. We would give it 10 out of 10 stars ⭐️.

22/07/2025: Una opción asequible con excelente comida y vistas increíbles en Ortesei - una trampa turística en todas partes con turistas ricos extranjeros locos gastando precios locos en toda la comida. ¡Comimos por 50 euros -sangrado de cordón, carbonara y litro de vino de la casa- con fabulosas vistas en Ortesei! Volveremos - las pizzas se ven increíbles.

22/07/2025: A due passi dal Duomo di Ortisei, questo locale arredatoin stile montanaro, con una bella terrazza esterna, offre piatti della tradizione locale ben cucinati, a prezzi nella media della zona. Servizio rapido e cortese. Kaiserschmarren fantastico!

13/07/2025: A bit dated, but a nice and clean house. Very well-maintained, large pool. The bathroom in the apartment room was not up to date. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired – except for the plentiful and good breakfast. Dinner was very nicely arranged and delicious. We always had to ask for more drinks. A shame, otherwise it was quite okay!

02/07/2025: We stayed at the Hotel Heubad last week and felt very comfortable in our beautiful room. The hotel offers an outdoor pool, an indoor pool, massages, and much more. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and competent. Breakfast was excellent, and the 5-course dinner left nothing to be desired – delicious wines rounded off the experience. The free bus service takes you to hiking areas and towns like Bolzano or Bressanone. For us, it was pure relaxation.

20/09/2025: Even though we hadn't booked and the place was full, we were put on the list and were seated at a table within half an hour. Besides being helpful, the staff was also very friendly. We had dumplings, pizza, and finally strudel, all delicious 😊.
