04/04/2026: The fries were lukewarm and not really fresh, there were long wait times even when it wasn't busy, the quality of the main courses was mediocre, and they were expensive. Because of the great location, it might be worth stopping for a drink, but that's about it.

29/03/2026: It’s a great spot. Staff are great but the food is just so bad I had to write this. Iv had better canned beef on a military exercise.

28/12/2025: We stopped by for an afternoon merenda and enjoyed dessert with coffee. The staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming. I ordered the mousse alle castagne, which was really good and perfectly suited for a cozy afternoon treat. The atmosphere can get a bit noisy, but it didn’t take away from the experience. We still enjoyed our time there.

15/08/2025: We were dissatisfied for many reasons. First, the lady who served us wasn't particularly friendly. We felt like we weren't welcome, even though we entered the bakery an hour before closing time and practically everything had been stocked. Then we were offered rolls that were damaged and so hard the next day that they were inedible. I don't know what was being offered or what went wrong with them. An experienced salesperson could have pointed out to us that the goods were no longer fresh. Fortunately, there's still competition. We won't be back.

04/01/2026: We went to Brixen specifically to stay at this hotel, and to dine in its Michelin starred restaurant. While we were not overall disappointed, we would have expected a little bit better. This historic establishment has a marvelous location and the building itself is quite like a museum when it comes to history, arts and furnishing. We stayed in the main building, in standard rooms. The rooms are clean, but really basic. The bathrooms were very small and showed some wear and tear. Very few amenities (no shampoo, nor conditioner, just shower gel and body lotion). The Spa is well advertised on their website and I was expecting something a bit better. The sauna was small, with little information about the "dress code" (some people were nude, others weren't), the wet sauna was turned off. I was told there is water available, and I am sure there is, but I couldn't find it. Most spas also offer herbal teas, which was not the case here. The pool area with loungers is nice. The pool is lightly heated. I disliked the fitness room. It is extremely small. I gather it might have been a cellar as the ceilings are very low and vaulted - which doesn't make it for it being airy enough to feel confortable. There is only a tredmill, a bike, a bench and a few dumbells. Regardless: you wouldn't want to exercise heavily in that space. No water in the fitness room - no towels either. The best part of the experience is the breakfast buffet and the overall service. Breakfst offers a bounty of options - both sweet and savory- of outstanding quality. Service is impeccable. I think you pay for the history, the location and the (past) reputation of the establishment. I have been in 4 stars (this is a 4 stars + according to their ad) that provided a more comfortable stay, better facilities for a lower price. I understand that might not be the case in Brixen, but some standards should be quite universal. That being said, I don't regret going there.

20/12/2025: ​The communication here is extremely poor. They respond instantly to inquiries that benefit them, but completely ignore messages regarding issues or refund requests. I was told they were too busy with emails to reply to my urgent request, yet they replied within minutes only after I mentioned leaving a review. Highly unprofessional and unreliable service.

19/05/2026: I managed to get a room at short notice for one night. It was in the annex, which was perfectly fine. I'd overlooked it when booking. They readily refunded me €50 for the half-board I had booked but couldn't use – very accommodating. The breakfast buffet was extensive with attentive service. My only criticism is that the small reception area can get congested when several guests are arriving or departing at the same time. But we weren't exactly in a hurry.

31/05/2026: Guys, please ignore the bad reviews. The food is awful; even I could probably have made it better. Charging €15 for a "salad" the size of a teacup is outrageous. The woman serving, with her arrogance, would probably be better suited to being a bouncer. Cheers

28/05/2026: Honestly very high expectations, pizza, a calzone with little topping and a smear of tomato on top, the worst I've ever eaten, insufficient service, for what we paid with a little kindness and a smile, they would have earned a lot.

10/06/2026: We ordered pasta with beef ragù and a tagliata, starting with the totally tasteless ragù made with butter and bay leaves🤦🏻‍♂️ pasta without salt, a totally distorted recipe. After the third forkful, I left the dish because it was inedible. As for the tagliata, we weren't asked how done it was, but it was overcooked and wasn't even let rest... It ended up being watery, with a mixture of cooking juices in the bottom and stringy. The bread was very rubbery. The water and wine arrived about 15 minutes after ordering, the bread just before the dishes. The waitress who served us was as friendly as the police after a drunk speeding. I think the owner, unlike everything else, was very kind. She apologized for the pasta and added that in Bolzano, ragù is made this way, and removed the dish from the bill, which in any case was salty compared to the pasta.

29/05/2026: My family and I had an amazing experience at La Torcia Italian Restaurant! The food was absolutely incredible, especially the pizza honestly the most delicious pizza we have ever had. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. The waitress was extremely kind, patient, and helpful with our language barrier. She took the time to help translate for us and made sure we felt comfortable the entire time. The service was excellent from beginning to end. What made the experience even more special was how welcoming everyone in the restaurant was. The entire staff greeted us warmly, and it truly felt like we were being welcomed like family. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for amazing Italian food and outstanding hospitality!

03/04/2026: I'm writing this review still in disbelief at the treatment and quality of the food I received. If you're looking for a place to eat after a day on the slopes, move on: any other option will be better than this. The pizza dough was embarrassing: rubbery, clearly under-risen, and raw in the center, while the crust was burnt and bitter. The ingredients used were of the lowest quality; the tomato was overly acidic, and the mozzarella had no consistency whatsoever, a sign of the use of low-quality industrial products that have nothing to do with the flavors of the area. The service was the final straw. Arrogant staff, biblical wait times (over an hour for two pizzas with the place half empty), and a total disorganization in the dining room and kitchen. Despite our polite complaints about the cooking, the response was dismissive and lacking in professionalism. The prices were completely out of line and unjustified. Paying gourmet prices for a product that wouldn't even end up on the plate of an emergency shelter is unacceptable. A place that thrives solely on its touristic location, but doesn't deserve a single cent of your money. ​Avoid it if you don't want to ruin your evening and your stomach. In his place, I'd keep quiet, especially since there's no page where you can write a review exclusively for the restaurant.

22/09/2025: Very nice accommodation with great hosts, very friendly and helpful. The room was modern and very clean. The bathroom was also top-notch and very clean. The pizza was excellent, and overall, the pizzeria with the millstones had a very nice atmosphere. Why only 4 stars? Because we always needed a car to get to our planned vacation destinations. But if you want to explore the nature park, this is an excellent place to stay. We would still be happy to come back, just with different destinations :-)
