This is the fourth establishment we've visited belonging to the SudTirol Gasthaus network, and we personally expected more "South Tyrolean" service and hospitality.

A superb welcome is guaranteed in a very personalized hotel with fine antiques that create a very comfortable and authentic atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and available to meet your every need. Highly recommended!

We've been coming here for half a century, and even when I look at the black and white photos of Villabassa when it was pure—not that it isn't—but those were better times... it gives me goosebumps. We have a house along the river.

28/02/2026: We stopped only for lunch. Very good food, friendly service and a surprisingly international menu. Excellent
24/02/2026: Just an awesome hotel with a really cool sauna and a cool restaurant! We were here for 3 days. Even though we drove 40 minutes to Val Gardena every morning, the road was with beautiful views. The pizza in the restaurant is great. After skiing, we relaxed in the Sauna with relaxing music. There is a fast charging station for electric cars 5 minutes from the hotel. The room design is modern. Top for this price!

16/03/2026: We spontaneously decided to have lunch at this lovely restaurant and received a very warm welcome. The quality of the food is truly excellent, and the portion sizes, especially the pasta, justify the price. The wine selection and advice are also worth mentioning. Highly recommended!
23/02/2026: My husband and I were blown away by the food and service at Sotriffer. From start to finish, everything was perfect. The service was warm and attentive, and the food was exceptional. You can tell so much care and intention goes into every single dish. The deconstructed apple strudel was incredible as well as the sheep’s milk ricotta- the flavors worked together so seamlessly. My husband and I left feeling so taken care of. They didn’t miss a single detail. When I will recommend everyone to dine at this restaurant.
