12/12/2024: Perhaps the best dinner I've ever had, difficult to even describe. I was amazed by the flavours, even different ones, that were released with every bite of the same dish. Even from a simple wild boar pasta, sensations never felt before emerged. It was a real experience! Satisfied and happy. I can't wait to return

27/11/2024: Abbiamo trascorso un fine settimana di assoluto relax! Appena entrati in questo casale abbiamo avuto la sensazione di sentirci a casa e così è stato.. L'ambiente è curato e pulito; la camera La Piccionaia molto spaziosa, particolare, confortevole, letto comodo. La cena è stata superlativa! Prodotti di qualità e buon vino ci hanno davvero soddisfatti! Buona e genuina anche la colazione; servita sia con prodotti dolci che salati. Proprietari e staff sono stati davvero gentili e disponibili; torneremo di sicuro!

17/12/2024: Just a ten minute walk from Pisa’s Leaning Tower is this family-run, super authentic Tuscan spot. Enjoyed a terrific lunch and were delighted to meet the husband Stelio & wife Gracia who have spent the last 59 years in this Pisa culinary institution.

23/12/2024: Such a beautiful find! We were not expecting to find a vegan restaurant in Volterra and were so happy to come across this gem; it’s a beautiful restaurant, with glass floors where you can see an ancient road and well through. The owner was incredibly warm and kind and the food was delicious. My dad was born and raised in Italy, and he thought it was fantastic. They also use local and organic ingredients. Even if you are a meat eater, this is worth the visit!

25/12/2024: Sensational location! A view straight out of a picture book, beautifully decorated and with good, if not completely exceptional, food. We were there on a Monday and there was live music. A bit noisy for entertainment, but really an experience! On top of that, there was an Italian wedding where all guests were invited to the dance floor. Like in the movies! 😀With such a visually impressive location, we have often experienced that the food was average. That's not the case here. The prices are also reasonable. Absolute recommendation!

01/01/2025: Capodanno 2024/2025. Semplicemente fantastico. Staff ineccepibile dall' inizio alla fine della serata, piatti curati e abbondanti. Atmosfera della festa insieme alla musica dal vivo ha creato una serata memorabile. Che dire.... torneremo sicuramente.

17/11/2024: Ogni anno da ormai 6-7 anni, a novembre, soggiorniamo in questo hotel per partecipare alla sagra del cinghiale che si tiene in città. Che dire, hotel molto bello e caratteristico, personale gentilissimo e in gamba, stanze spaziose. Fiore all’occhiello è senza dubbio il ristorante della struttura, in cui si mangia divinamente. Tutto buonissimo, dagli antipasti ai dolci. La carne è davvero gustosa! Non c’è una volta in cui ci pentiamo di aver soggiornato lì, anzi! Quando il weekend finisce, ci ripromettiamo sempre di tornarci perché ci sentiamo come a casa! Un ringraziamento speciale va ad Alessio, titolare della struttura. Persona gentile, educata e disponibile verso tutti! Non c’è dubbio, torneremo anche l’anno prossimo!

04/01/2025: A very small and Italian pizzeria, it has two long tables. There are two large gentlemen who are very very kind and friendly. The pizzas, although not the classic Neapolitan or taglio pizzas, were incredible. We tried the four cheese, della casa and funghi. Each one better than the other. We loved it and recommend.
