04/11/2025: I was in the region with my father, and after 15 years we absolutely wanted to return to this restaurant, as we always remembered it as wonderful. And after 15 years, it's still excellent, and the food is of high quality. The value for money is right, and the service is excellent and very friendly. The view, the atmosphere, the food—simply perfect. One of our favorite restaurants in Tuscany, if not our absolute favorite. We will definitely come again; it's highly recommended, simply unique!

15/10/2025: I am leaving a review for the restaurant, we did not stay there. The restaurant was one off the highlights of the trip for us, so excellent. The food was amazing, the service was great and the view was put of this world We had lunch there- the gnocchi was amazing, and the wild boar pasta was so delicious. Even the kids pasta with ragout was delicious. I would definitely recommend.

22/11/2025: A truly elegant and innovative restaurant. We would have liked to try more dishes because there are so many interesting ones 🙂 Another reason to return. Excellent wines.

16/11/2025: A truly wonderful discovery... Delicious Tuscan dishes (maltagliati with borlotti bean cream, crispy cavolo nero, and toasted pancetta), wild boar with Taggiasca olives (appropriately pitted)... a nice selection of local wines (the area is full of excellent producers). The service was attentive, and the price was more than fair, especially considering they didn't even charge us for the chocolate cream puffs (which were excellent) that arrived too cold. The owner was friendly but not intrusive. We'll definitely be back.

01/11/2025: A "big" birthday spent at this enchanting inn. Leaving longing to return to this place is, I think, the most fitting way to describe our stay. See you soon!

04/12/2025: Today we had lunch at this quaint Osteria. Everything was excellent...from the service to the food, not to mention their willingness to customize a vegetarian dish, which wasn't on the menu, for my wife, who was pleased with the dish she had prepared. At the end of the lunch, the forefather, Mr. Stelio, introduced himself, kind and full of recommendations...including that of trying their FANTASTIC punch.

22/11/2025: Terrible experience. Unfriendly to tourists. Even people in the queue were unfriendly and making jokes.

15/11/2025: We ate really well at La Clessidra; the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service is very friendly. We highly recommend it.

09/11/2025: A small but great surprise in a not-so-veg-friendly Tuscany. After extensive research, we stumbled upon this restaurant, which is certainly charming. But let's get to the food. The choice was quite difficult, thanks in part to the narration of each dish, which conveyed passion, attention to detail, and the choice of seasonal ingredients. We were given a small, delicious welcome appetizer, as were the dishes that followed, which left us truly satisfied.

14/10/2025: Highly recommend this place in Volterra. The interior has a glass floor, so you can see some Etruscan roads and wells below your feet. Our waiters were extremely friendly too. The real standout was the tiramisu, I could hardly believe it was plant based!

03/11/2025: We went to eat truffles, but these were of terrible quality. Each course lacked their aroma. The tagliolini tasted of butter, not white truffle. We paid €50 for a tagliolini and €33 for a tartare. We'll never go back. Don't go there for the truffles.

26/10/2025: Expectations were very high, and perhaps that's why they were disappointed. The first course, pioppini mushrooms and oxtail, didn't convince me. I proceeded with the egg yolk with truffle... too bad the truffle wasn't very fragrant and the dish arrived cold. Compliments to the service. Impeccable. I recommend cleaning up the dust buildup on the corrigati in the kitchen... it's not at all hygienic. I won't post the photo out of decency.

31/10/2025: Wild boar ragu and pappardelle mouth watering deliciousness. Have yet to find any place stateside that comes close to this dish.

20/10/2025: The staff were very nice and friendly. We had a small incident, but they did their best to make it right. I will never forget this place.

17/11/2025: Very good. Refined dishes, well-served in a quiet atmosphere. Seating is limited, so reservations are recommended. Prices are expensive but reasonable. Parking is a bit far, but that's the way it is in the center of Palaia.

19/10/2025: Honestly great! It's definitely worth crossing the river! It's peaceful and the food is authentic! The staff is super friendly, we were alone and it's weird after the crowds at the tower.
