29/06/2025: Premetto che non posso giudicare i piatti del ristorante ma la pizza realmente indefinibile ed inqualificabile.Sottilissima quasi sfogliata unta di olio e totalmente scondita al modico prezzo assurdo di 9€ per una semplicissima margherita. Conto finale salatissimo. Locale poco accogliente, tavoli al caldo e apparecchiati in parte. Esperienza da non ripetere.

29/06/2025: Ristorante di livello con piatti preparati con cura e molto molto buoni. Personale servizievole e gentile. Vasta scelta di vini dal bianco, rosso, rosato e bollicine. Giardino meraviglioso e tavoli con tovaglie e bicchieri di classe. Rapporto Qualità/prezzo alta. Abbiamo preso degli antipasti e un risotto ai frutti di mare oltre al dolce. Tutto di alto livello. Consigliatissimo. Ci torneremo spesso.

23/10/2025: We spent €600 and were treated terribly. The worst panzanella I've ever eaten. An insult to Tuscan tradition. €15 for a dish that was wrong on every side. The owner was arrogant, presumptuous, and rude.

02/10/2025: The food was quite well prepared, especially when the entire order was finally on the table. Unfortunately, the waiter was completely unmotivated; we've rarely felt so much of a nuisance. Unbelievable! The chef is very attentive and accommodating.

06/09/2025: We were very pleased with the service. For dinner, we had a fresh salad, and for dessert, a delicious ice cream to share. Excellent value, which surprised us with the excellent quality and variety. Very pleasant location, with good evening lighting. Family or solo. Highly recommended.

24/10/2025: A historic restaurant in the center of Viareggio and a must-visit. The seafood menu isn't overwhelming, but the quality is truly excellent. Try the tagliolini with lobster. The wine cellar is truly well-stocked.

22/10/2025: The food was excellent, very fresh, well-cooked, and very light. The only flaw was that we ordered a seafood appetizer for two, and the portions were a bit small. It was good, but not much. The restaurant has a street view, which is a shame. The rooms are large, but lack natural light.

08/09/2025: Dear Hotel Playa Team, We would like to thank you very much for the wonderful stay at your hotel. We particularly enjoyed the location directly by the sea and in the shopping area, which made for a relaxing holiday. The room was always clean, and the food in the hotel restaurant was very delicious. We would especially like to praise the excellent service, from the manager himself to the entire team. We always felt well looked after and were provided with many useful tips for excursions in the surrounding area. The parking in front of the door at a fair price of €8 per day was also very convenient. Overall, we were completely satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit to the Hotel Playa. 06/11/2025: A small restaurant in the Piazza di San Frediano, with friendly and fast service. There's only outdoor seating, with a small veranda for inclement weather. Reasonable prices. Typical Tuscan food, especially for Lucca Comics. I recommend it!

18/10/2025: A very cozy location, next to a beautiful church. Very friendly service, who take excellent care of their guests. Delicious food. We felt very comfortable in this small osteria.

03/11/2025: Poor quality food If the staff had been at least polite, I probably wouldn't have even written a review, but the girls were all unhelpful and rude; when we left, they didn't even say goodbye. That said, the pasta was loaded with garlic, and I have nothing against garlic, but the quantity was truly disproportionate and cumbersome. Not even the tomatoes in the salad had any flavor whatsoever. In short, a purely touristy place, and not even that cheap. It's a shame, because if a foreign tourist even tastes the Taggiasca olives in those scialatielli with octopus I had, they'll form a poor opinion of the true quality of the product.

27/10/2025: We really enjoyed our time at Trattoria da Carlino! The restaurant is welcoming and stands out for its excellent value: the dishes are tasty, well-prepared, and slightly cheaper than other restaurants in the area. One dish that absolutely deserves a special mention is the seafood ravioli, truly delicious! We discovered this place in 2022, during a vacation in Marina di Pietrasanta. This year, we decided to return, and it was a complete success: we've been there three times, twice with friends, and everyone was satisfied. The owner is very friendly and helpful: one evening when the restaurant was fully booked, he remembered us and, since we'd stopped by a few days earlier, found us a table anyway. A gesture we truly appreciated! In short, an authentic and sincere trattoria, where you eat well, spend a fair amount, and always feel welcome. Highly recommended!

11/10/2025: We went to this restaurant on the recommendation of friends who described it as a simple yet authentic place, with generous portions and fair prices. Unfortunately, our experience was the exact opposite. The place is modest, a bit old-fashioned from the '70s and '80s, and we entered with the best of intentions. I even joked with the waiter, asking if the portions were really large, and he assured me they were "generous." Too bad that wasn't true. The house appetizer consisted of three tiny samples, clearly prepared some time ago. The grilled fish didn't even weigh 150 grams—including the shrimp carcasses—and the sea bream all'isolana was perhaps 100 grams of real fish. The zucchini served on the side were sour, probably cooked in poor-quality white wine: I, who am usually not picky, couldn't eat them. Final bill: €60, without wine, just a bottle of still water. Overall, a disappointing experience in every way. A place to forget.

26/08/2025: I've been to this beach resort for lunch and dinner and have always had a great time. The food is good, especially fish, the staff is friendly, and the location is truly beautiful. I recommend going there for dinner because the atmosphere in the evening is very welcoming and relaxing.

18/08/2025: I'm not reviewing the bathroom because I only went here for dinner, which was excellent. Prices are a bit high, but they're in line with the quality of the food.

27/09/2025: If I could give this restaurant 0 stars I would! We visited Trattoria Da Vasco on Monday 22 Sept 25, for dinner, based on a recommendation. Whilst my spaghetti carbonara was OK (not great), the spinach and ricotta ravioli my partner ordered was inedible. It arrived floating in a bowl of what appeared to be pasta water, with no sauce and tasted horrible. We sent it back and asked very nicely if we could please order something else as my partner had only had a mouthful. He tried the spaghetti Bolognese but again, it was terrible. The pasta had not been drained properly and again there was water at the bottom of the bowel. The sauce was barely discernible and the most prominent taste was dish washing liquid. Again, my partner could not eat this and had barely a mouthful. Now very hungry we decided to pay for what we could eat and drink. I went inside to explain this and pay. The manager /owner immediately started shouting at me aggressively in Italian, which unfortunately I do not speak. He was extremely intimidating and stood very close to me. He would not let the waitress translate for me, even though her English was good enough. He immediately threatened to call the police and would not stop shouting for one moment. I ended up in tears in the restaurant. At this point my partner who was sitting outside heard the noise and stepped in to protect me, just in time for the police to arrive. The police had to physically hold the manager back, still shouting at us both. I paid the bill (and entirely unwarranted €44!) just to get out of there. It was an awful meal and a worse experience. I suggest avoiding this 'restaurant' at all costs. The police were lovely and listened patiently to what happened. Of course they agreed with us as customers and had a stern talking to the manager/owner. I have travelled extensively, and been to Italy many times, and have never been treated so badly.

26/09/2025: A family-run trattoria, when you enter Vasco, you feel like part of the family. Typical Lucca dishes, truly well-made and generous portions. This is our second time here, and we'll continue to do so. I highly recommend this place.
