02/08/2025: Prima volta da loro a cena in tre, su suggerimento di un’altro chef. Esperienza ottima, locale garbato in darsena, cenato nel patio. Maestoso crudo di pesce, spaghettini alle arselle fresche fa-vo-lo-si, un buon dentice al forno con le olive e patate. Tutto freschissimo e ben presentato. Servizio impeccabile fatto da giovani preparati. Abbiamo chiesto una bottiglia di vino inusuale e la temperatura non era perfetta. Prezzi accettabili in proporzione alla grande qualità. Digestione perfetta. Torneremo

27/10/2025: Absolutely fantastic restaurant with amazing seafood dishes and some of the best service I’ve ever encountered. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and despite the language barrier we managed to communicate with a mix of Italian, Spanish and English. The pasta dishes were a particular highlight and very filling by themselves, but we couldn’t pass on some calamari, so ended up sharing a portion and were very pleased with them as well. For dessert we went with the staffs recommendations and these were also spot on. Especially the cestino di croccante alle mandorle was a big surprise. This restaurant should be at the very top of recommendations for Lido di Camaiore and Viareggio.

22/10/2025: Highly recommended for traditional cuisine and pizza, and for the friendly and helpful staff. A group of friends and I have now become our go-to place for fun and spicy evenings. 🌶🌶🌶 Must try the pizza spietata 😀🫢and of course everything else. 👍

08/10/2025: Wed night, arrived at 8pm, no reservation. They very nicely found us a table for 2. The steak was great, ditto side of roast potatoes. There are very few vegetarian options. A couple of side dishes and a few pizza choices. My phone app said the sound was 68-74db's (quite loud) during our meal. The creme caramel was bland but the terimisu was delightful.

26/10/2025: Simply extraordinary. A true taste experience. Every dish was surprising and out of the ordinary. The location is beautiful and makes you feel at ease. The staff was truly impeccable, knowledgeable and friendly while maintaining the right level of formality. Chef Tomei even came to the dining room to thank and say hello. Number one. Congratulations

04/10/2025: Last night, three friends and I had dinner at this magical place, with wonderful, flavorful dishes. The maître d' was kind, attentive, and very sociable, and he took us on this journey, as was the other waiter, who was always efficient. Thank you, you're a wonderful team. 05/11/2025: I'm always happy to return to this restaurant. The meat is delicious, as are the side dishes (special mention for the fries, absolutely unbeatable). The atmosphere is incredibly pleasant; in the summer you can eat outside and admire the view without suffering from the heat, and in the winter there's a fireplace in the center of the dining room. The table setting is beautiful, as is the decor. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

31/10/2025: A very welcoming restaurant and excellent food, with simple yet refined flavors. In winter, the fireplace in the center of the room creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere; on nice days, you can eat outside overlooking a beautiful garden. Highly recommended if you want to enjoy traditional Lucca cuisine in a genuine and authentic restaurant.

26/10/2025: A very nice and intimate place, the service is efficient with very kind and knowledgeable staff. The dishes, from fish to meat, are all delicious to my taste, with attention to every detail. Whatever you order, I never find anything to complain about. The wine cellar is exceptional.

31/10/2025: Everything was perfect: perfect service, warm welcome, perfect atmosphere, and a strategic location. The host was truly helpful. To top it off, the pizza was truly excellent. The staff were very polite, smiling, and incredibly fast. Come in and relax; you'll be pampered.

26/10/2025: The right place for a top-notch pizza in Viareggio. Try the unleavened bread. Prices are average, and the products are above average. A must-try.

01/11/2025: I practically grew up with their excellent dishes! The staff is friendly and professional. Here you'll find traditional Lucca and Tuscan dishes. The Zuppa alla Frantoiana is excellent, the farro soup is fantastic, and the pasta with wild boar ragù is special. But the best are the tordelli Lucchesi. Here you'll find the real ones, the ones that stay a little firm and don't sag, accompanied by an excellent ragù. In short, for me, they're the best around! The main courses are also excellent: the cacciucco, the peposo, and the wild boar stew with olives (one of the best in all of Lucca, and perhaps Tuscany, I'm not kidding). The pizza is also excellent; I recommend the buffalo mozzarella and sausage!

31/10/2025: A good lunch with a set menu or seafood options. Fast service. Reservations are recommended. Larger portions are available unless you're looking for something else on the set menu, which still costs €12. Thin-crust pizzas are also available at lunchtime.

11/11/2025: 3 Michelin stars is nothing, this restaurant is a delicacy that no stars exist, I think that Cannavacciuolo Borghese Cracco and company can only come to learn not as a joke but with serious facts

08/11/2025: The atmosphere was warm but the tables were narrow and crowded together, the wine list was limited and the champagnes were missing their vintages... three of the ones listed were unavailable... the food was completely tasteless and the bill was very expensive...

30/10/2025: Excellent restaurant, we tried it during an overnight stay at a nearby hotel. Truly excellent dishes, from appetizers (the tartare was superb) to desserts! Franco is an excellent host, very friendly and always smiling. If I return to the area, I'll definitely visit again.

28/08/2025: Excellent place to try seafood. The octopus soup is very good, and the octopus is incredibly tender. The black tagliolini with octopus ragù is also exceptional. I'll definitely be back!

29/09/2025: I went to Risto-bar il Caffe and I have to say it was a great experience! The pasta dish was really delicious, and the tordelli my friend had were well-made, everything was super seasoned and full of flavor. The staff was incredibly kind: the young woman who served me was especially helpful, carefully listening to my lactose intolerance and making sure to check directly with the kitchen to make sure everything was suitable for me. The young man and the staff in general were also super nice and welcoming. Plus, they're pet-friendly, which I really appreciated. I absolutely recommend this place, both for the quality of the food and the friendly service. 🌟🐾

28/09/2025: We visited this small restaurant a few days ago during our vacation and highly recommend it. We actually wanted to go to the adjacent In Pasta - Cibo e Convivio. But it was far too busy and crowded, and the waiter was a bit stressed and unfriendly. We're glad we switched to Risto Bar Il Caffe. The waiter was super friendly, quick, and courteous. He also spoke perfect English. We had the spaghetti with burrata and loved it. It was delicious. For dessert, we had panna cotta, which was also very good. The restaurant is also a bit quieter and away from the tourist hustle and bustle. But not too far away. It's a wonderful place to relax after a city tour. It seems to have just reopened, by the way. We would gladly return anytime and can recommend Risto Bar without reservation.
