26/08/2026: Introduction: On Monday, August 24th, we went to the restaurant in person to make a reservation for the following evening around 9:00 PM, and at the owner's request ("Where would you like to dine?"), we asked to reserve a table on the veranda. The fact: On Tuesday, August 25th, my husband and I arrived at the restaurant at 9:10 PM and, after being greeted with a gruff "Are you..." without even a greeting, we were shocked to discover that all the tables on the veranda were already occupied. We were abruptly told that only one table inside, in the corner near the entrance, was free. When we complained, the owner, rather than apologize for the inconvenience, rudely replied in a raised voice, "What do you want, to make people get up?!" With this response, we decided to leave. Result: an evening ruined by the owner's incompetence and rudeness. It's a shame we couldn't sample this restaurant's renowned cuisine, but dining is also about service and customer service.

16/08/2026: I don't even know where to begin. Crossing the threshold of this restaurant is like entering a parallel dimension, a kind of magical bubble. Refined decor, a relaxing atmosphere. Even before the food arrives, they arrive: the people in charge of service. They are exquisitely kind, always smiling and polite; they don't serve you: they take care of you and guide you with grace, discretion, and professionalism throughout the dinner. Without any affectation, ostentation, or pretentiousness, but with such generosity and passion for what they do. And then there are the dishes: pure art! Spectacular, excellent, of the highest quality, with the freshest ingredients, original combinations, balanced flavors. A feast for the senses: for the eyes, the palate, the nose. This crazy idea is a whole other level; it would be a shame to go there just for dinner.

14/08/2026: Dinner at Osteria Pazza Idea... isn't just a dinner, it's something to experience and discover. Everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail...from the decor to the background music that accompanies without being intrusive, the service is impeccable. Each course isn't presented but described, and each one was a delight for the palate. Not to mention the initial olfactory experience...a very pleasant surprise.

02/06/2026: We had lunch on the terrace, overlooking the sea. The menu is limited, just as I like it, and the dishes everyone chose were delicious and beautifully presented. The Ukrainian waitress who served us deserves a special mention: she was friendly and professional.

27/07/2026: I hadn't been there for several years, preferring to stop at Giorgio's in the center of Viareggio. I returned on Saturday and regretted having "forgotten" Cicero for too long: large, comfortable tables, large plates just the way I like them (I hate small plates where it's difficult to eat fish or shellfish), prices absolutely in line with the quality of the food and the generous portions offered: excellent. The wine markup is honest. The dishes are remarkably good: if you want to satisfy your fish cravings, go to Cicero, period. Service was courteous, attentive, and professional; I was disappointed not to have cash on me to leave a small tip for the waiters.

05/05/2026: A fantastic restaurant brought to you by a dynamic duo! Luis (sp) is a master choreographer working the tables with a flair that is at once mesmerizing and enviable. No question goes unanswered, no ingredient too obscure to explain and no wine is without complete tasting notes. Meanwhile, in the kitchen, Davide (sp) is quietly creating masterpiece after masterpiece. Alan, Meatballs, Duck Legs, Duck Breast, Fennel and those SPICY POTATOES! We couldn’t believe just what a magical experience we had, so we had to go twice!

01/03/2026: Starting with the very welcoming and comfortable venue, my partner and I had a great time. The service was warm and the dishes were truly exquisite. Furthermore, the staff described the dishes in detail. (We each chose an appetizer, a first course, a dessert, and a glass of still water.) We were passing through on a trip, and it was an excellent stop. We recommend it; good value for money. Absolutely.

31/10/2025: I’ve been here several times in the past couple of decades but first time since 2017 I could come back and again it was amazing. I’m gluten free and they made the most delicious truffle risotto fresh and perfect. It’s more about the atmosphere and better if you can eat all the gluten but still I’m glad to come back. Nice people and perfect Tuscan cuisine.

11/10/2025: The dishes are also excellent to look at, the service is excellent and the interior of the restaurant is intimate.

09/08/2026: Authentic, handmade food. When you want to make a good impression with good food, a stop at Lorietta is an absolute must.

14/06/2026: Everything was delicious, the pizzas were spectacular. The Cecina was irresistible. Everything was delicious. It was the best 3 euros I've ever spent. I'll be back every summer.

10/06/2026: The pizza and cecina were exceptional, as always, but we made the mistake of sitting at the table with service: 2 slices of pizza, half a portion of cecina, 1 water, 1 tea, and 1 small glass of sparkling wine for €21. A bit overpriced, despite the table service.

13/08/2026: We found it average. The dishes were prepared as they should be, the service was adequate. We enjoyed the octopus, a fairly generous dish served with an excellent side dish, but we didn't like the desserts. The selection of bottles was decent, with some reasonably priced labels (€18). The only two things we didn't like were the injustice of the three euro per person cover charge, and the microfiltered water, which we found to taste like chlorine, which forced us to buy bottled water, which was also three euros each if I'm not mistaken.

06/08/2026: We go to La Branchina every year and have always loved the truly excellent food and the wonderful atmosphere. One of my mother's wishes was to celebrate her birthday at a table right by the water, so this year we came **specifically a week early to reserve**. It was even more important to us because this is the fifth consecutive year my mother has celebrated her birthday here. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told that our table was inside and that we hadn't requested a table near the water when we made the reservation, which is simply not true. We then waited outside for about 20 minutes, without receiving an apology or an offer of anything to drink. The food and location remain splendid, which is precisely why the experience was even more disappointing. We weren't expecting special treatment, just that our reservation, made well in advance, would be honored. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a very special evening for my mother's birthday and the realization of her little dream of dining by the water turned into a huge disappointment.
