28/04/2025: The restaurant, while maintaining an informal environment, is well-kept and very clean, with details that we always appreciate, such as the beamed ceilings and arches. The staff were kind and friendly. The cuisine is truly excellent with typical Tuscan dishes prepared and well executed. Worth highlighting are the handmade tordelli which are among the best we have tasted.

06/05/2025: Siamo stati in questa osteria in occasione di un compleanno di famiglia. Pietanze ottime, ingredienti e materie prime di grande qualità, che si percepiscono subito al palato. Un plauso particolare al titolare – il signore calvo con la barba – gentilissimo e simpaticissimo, e al cameriere che ci ha servito, un ragazzo di altrettanta cortesia e notevoli capacità. Sarebbe stato uno dei migliori ristoranti di Lucca, peccato solo per il finale di serata: si è presentato un altro "titolare", così si è definito, senza però nemmeno dirci il suo nome, in uno stato visibilmente alterato – presumo e spero soltanto per l’alcol. In pochi istanti è riuscito a rovinare l’atmosfera che gli altri, con tanto impegno e dedizione, avevano saputo creare. Un vero peccato. Nonostante tutto, non posso negare il voto massimo, perché il cibo è davvero eccellente e le persone che seriamente portano avanti questo locale se lo meritano tutto... e anche di più.

08/05/2025: I always return to this historic restaurant in the picturesque Via San Giorgio in Lucca. Varied but not dispersive menu. Authentic dishes, made with love. Especially the first ones. Spaghetti with special clams; I also recommend tortelli lucchesi, tomino, bruschetta. Incredible meat tartare and fillet. Last Saturday, at lunch, we were surprised by the generous portions (a rarity in Lucca these days) and the honest prices. Friendly and competent staff. The owners know how to welcome and take care of customers and are always ready to advise with a smile, but also with great discretion and education.

25/04/2025: Locale piccolo e carino nel borgo storico. Ottimo sformato di porri e filetto al pepe verde. Noi abbiamo sofferto il servizio, troppo tempo tra i primi e i secondi piatti, tanto che abbiamo rinunciato a dolce e caffè perché eravamo troppo stanchi per l'attesa.

The atmosphere is relaxing and authentic, with a breathtaking panoramic view that alone is worth the visit. We ate divinely: the Lucchese tordelli were tasty and well-seasoned, the grilled rosticciana was very tender and full of flavor, and the fried potatoes... simply legendary, crispy and golden to perfection. All served in generous portions, perfect for those who love good food without compromise. The staff is very kind, attentive but never intrusive, and transmits all the passion of those who truly love what they do. Even the bill was more than fair, especially for the quality and atmosphere offered. 🔝 Highly recommended for those looking for a true Tuscan experience, made of real flavors, sincere hospitality and postcard landscapes. We will definitely be back!
