12/05/2025: Big disappointments awaited us. The exterior looks great and clean in the Tuscan style, but the interior is horrible. Dirty carpets that have not been beaten for xy years or vacuumed, furniture extremely old, the rooms overall seemed outdated and not preserved. There was a musty smell, old age and dirt everywhere. The handle on the door to the bathroom and the toilet creaked so much that I think you woke up the people in the next room, you had to press the toilet 4 times for it to flush. Big disappointment! The location is fine, but the equipment is substandard. Honestly, I wouldn't even stay for free. Dirt, smell, malfunction. Breakfast very poor. And what about wifi - totally non-functional. We were accommodated right at the reception, room c. 15 and wifi not working. So don't count on it. This service is down.

14/01/2025: I stayed in this hotel for two nights in an economy room. Cozy hotel with a lobby with fireplace, clean and tidy. The economy room is basic in terms of furnishings and bathroom but with everything you need for two nights. Average breakfast, friendly owner. Excellent location to reach the center of Volterra on foot without moving the car.

24/05/2025: I read other reviews with complaints, but ignore all that. This is the place we were looking for as we walked past many restaurants filled with tourists seeking the 4.8's. It was exactly what we wanted away from the busy piazzas and crackle of English speaking tourists. Here you'll find delicious food, friendly staff, and few tourists. If you want more than that, go back to the piazza.

24/05/2025: Excellent...for eating and drinking...friendly service, the waiter named Olsi, is very kind, he made us a really good Aperol Spritz, recommended!!! Thanks for the cigarette Olsi...it tasted like heaven, the place has a beautiful avenue.

16/06/2025: Wonderful atmosphere, absolutely terrific food and so relaxing music. Ravioli and other dished we ordered were fantastic. Highly recommend and will be happy to come back.

16/06/2025: We stopped by for lunch and weren’t disappointed. Everything was delicious, food and drinks were absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was just perfect, great music, nice view, fresh basil on the tables. Service was excellent, friendly and very attentive. Highly recommended!

30/04/2025: Sono stata a cene insieme a delle amiche. Abbiamo preso il menu degustazione da 5 portate, esperienza a tutto tondo, dalla spegazione dei piatti all'abbinamento del vino siamo state guidate sapientemente dal personale, che è stato gentile, educato ed anche molto simpatico. Bilancio più che positivo della cena dalla quale siamo uscite piene e supersoddisfatte.

09/04/2025: Vinimos a almorzar, después de ver reseñas. Ubicación remota, por lo que tendría que reservar, no lo hicimos como era fuera de temporada y almuerzo de mitad de semana. El propietario parecía no gustarle a los ingleses y dejó claro que "no tenía una mesa para ingleses", posiblemente en beneficio de los otros comensales. Si eres inglés, te sugiero que vayas a los otros restaurantes acogedores de Radda o Castelina.

24/04/2025: Delicious pizza and friendly service! We were warmly welcomed and were allowed to take a seat immediately. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service friendly and helpful. The pizza was really tasty – fresh and tasty. The only thing perhaps missing was some background music to make it even more enjoyable, but that is really a small thing. All in all a great experience, and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others!

30/03/2025: I stop on my bike and buy a sandwich and a coke, I ask if I can sit for 5 minutes to eat in the heat and it wasn't 4 degrees outside, but the lady who made me the sandwich replies "I'm sorry, I'm doing the tables". There was no one there at the time and the tables were all ready.... What a warm welcome. In response to the owner... Grulla will be your mother, and anyway it doesn't say anywhere that the tables are for the restaurant but above all, since they were all empty, 5 minutes could have been granted for one of your customers to eat a sandwich. Kisses and hugs... 😘

04/06/2025: Se detuvo para un bocadillo. Horrible Antipasti. Bruschetta pomodoro no era más que pan rancio con algunos tomates cortados en dados. Crostini Mista era pan rancio con pequeñas porciones de cada ingrediente en la parte superior. Tenía esto en otros dos establecimientos y fue increíble. Solo mala comida / bocadillo que hemos tenido en 19 días viajando Italia.

02/06/2025: La comida era increíble y el lugar era muy agradable. No estaba ocupado y elegimos sentarnos dentro y relajarse y disfrutar de la comida. El camarero era muy agradable y pedimos el aperitivo con la pastelería frita y queso crema y prosciutto. ¡Delicioso!

17/05/2025: A place that doesn't respect the place where it is located. Loud music until 3:30 in the morning with rude people singing in chorus, a few meters from the cathedral. In what other historical center in Tuscany would this be allowed? A wine shop is something else, the perception is that of a small bar and perhaps it should be relocated elsewhere

07/05/2025: Absolutely yes. Cleanliness, service, quality of food and a vast selection of excellent bottles make "Pane e Pomodoro" a unique and welcoming place. Characteristic internal room with comfortable tables for spending moments of relaxation, immersed in walls of wines and champagne. You can sit in the. Dehor with a spectacular view of the Massa Cathedral.

10/05/2025: Siamo una coppia pugliese in visita e siamo stati benissimo in questo ristorante! Abbiamo mangiato un tagliere davvero fantastico, ricco, gustoso e curato nei minimi dettagli. Ma il vero valore aggiunto della serata è stato Antonio, il cameriere che ci ha accolti con grande professionalità e simpatia. Preparatissimo, attento, ci ha consigliato con cura anche il vino, facendo praticamente da sommelier, ed è stato super disponibile per ogni nostra richiesta. Abbiamo anche avuto il piacere di scambiare qualche chiacchiera con lui: persona davvero squisita. Esperienza più che positiva, torneremo sicuramente quando ritorneremo a Firenze!

03/05/2025: We found this restaurant by chance. The staff is very kind and friendly. We took the pappardelle with meat sauce, they were excellent and plentiful. The desserts are also very good. Highly recommended!!!

02/04/2025: From the moment I arrived at Villa San Michele, I was struck by its timeless elegance.What makes this villa truly unique is its blend of heritage and modern art. During my time there, the villa was hosting a collaboration with Galleria Continua, showcasing the iconic works of Beijing-based artists Sun Yuan & Peng Yu. Their exhibition, exploring the theme of “Identity In Space,” added an avant-garde touch to the villa’s historical context of the villa. I had the immense privilege of photographing a luxury destination wedding at Villa San Michele, and as a luxury photographer who works with many exquisite venues, I can confidently say it is unlike any other. From the golden-hour glow over Florence to the villa’s historic interiors, the variety of breathtaking locations offered endless opportunities for capturing perfect moments. I should note that the villa’s commitment to excellence is reflected not only in its stunning spaces but also in its exceptional staff, who are attentive, courteous and hospitable to one whether they are a guest or a visitor. To me, the latter is a sign of true hospitality! I absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend villa San Michele and I plan to visit again, this time for an extended stay with my wife next time I am in Florence!

05/05/2025: We had dinner in this place on 05.03.25, in our opinion the dishes (pizzas and mussels) were average, the service was adequate... the place was very dated... especially the services... (... inadequate to say the least...) very touristy. Adequate quality/price ratio.

04/06/2025: Vriendelijke ontvangst. Zeer mooi zicht op zee en ondergaande zon. 500 m stappen wel naar plek vanaf parking. De moeite. Qua eten neem je best de verse vis. Top. Pasta’s zij goed maar niet waaw. De moeite qua budget ook.

03/06/2025: Sono rimasta completamente soddisfatta gustando il cibo di Alessandro Gargano. Servizio impeccabile,accogliente e attento, il cibo era divino, pesce freschissimo e i primi piatti spettacolari. Per non parlare dell'aperitivo preso di fronte al tramonto. Location bellissima. Consiglio vivamente questo ristorante!!Bravi ragazzi!
