13/07/2025: Ristorante in una bellissima location , ottimamente arredato. Siamo stati accolti con cura da personale e dal proprietario. Pranzo a base di pesce , abbiamo preso una tempura di crostacei , spaghetti mono grano alle vongole ( ottimi) , baccalà e frittura. Tutto ben cucinato e presentato . Merita senz'altro una visita e consigliamo vivamente .

07/08/2025: Cena di coppia di mercoledì sera. Sicuramente la strada per arrivare non è delle più comode, però il piccolo sforzo viene ampiamente ripagato dalla vista spettacolare e da una cena che, per quanto mi riguarda, ha soddisfatto le aspettative. Personale gentile e preparato.

28/07/2025: A beautiful place for a romantic dinner or even a dinner with friends! Besides the elegant setting and stunning location, which offers a beautiful sunset, the food is also excellent! The fish is incredibly fresh and beautifully cooked...the raw seafood is excellent. The service is attentive and meticulous. I recommend going for dinner early to fully enjoy the meal, which is well worth the price.

01/07/2025: A beautiful evening in June. Always better to book. Excellent food and excellent location in the middle of nature. You have to be careful in the evening with the car because it often happens during the journey that wild animals such as foxes or deer cross the road

29/07/2025: A very pretty and relaxing location, with our table right by the pool. The tranquil atmosphere made dinner even more enjoyable. The food was excellent, with innovative and well-executed combinations, like the tuna with peach, truly delicious; I highly recommend it! All the pasta and even the bread are homemade, a detail that shines through in the quality. For our first course, we had a chitarra pasta with red prawns and truffle: excellent ingredients, beautifully showcased. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing dinner, with excellent ingredients and a touch of originality.

26/07/2025: Close to the sea but not on it, a quiet spot surrounded by greenery with a lovely pool. We were warmly welcomed by a young woman who was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and cheerful. The appetizers were good, and the food was generally well-prepared. Sometimes the execution didn't live up to the description: the tagliata on the menu was actually a thin slice, and the paprika-crusted picana was delicious, but you couldn't taste the paprika (if a customer orders paprika-flavored food, it's assumed they love that flavor and want it in that dish). The value for money justifies the stop.

02/04/2025: From the moment I arrived at Villa San Michele, I was struck by its timeless elegance.What makes this villa truly unique is its blend of heritage and modern art. During my time there, the villa was hosting a collaboration with Galleria Continua, showcasing the iconic works of Beijing-based artists Sun Yuan & Peng Yu. Their exhibition, exploring the theme of “Identity In Space,” added an avant-garde touch to the villa’s historical context of the villa. I had the immense privilege of photographing a luxury destination wedding at Villa San Michele, and as a luxury photographer who works with many exquisite venues, I can confidently say it is unlike any other. From the golden-hour glow over Florence to the villa’s historic interiors, the variety of breathtaking locations offered endless opportunities for capturing perfect moments. I should note that the villa’s commitment to excellence is reflected not only in its stunning spaces but also in its exceptional staff, who are attentive, courteous and hospitable to one whether they are a guest or a visitor. To me, the latter is a sign of true hospitality! I absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend villa San Michele and I plan to visit again, this time for an extended stay with my wife next time I am in Florence!

29/07/2025: Today, at the suggestion of our tour guide, we went for lunch with a large group. The soup was like a vegetable stew. It's not like our soups. However, the steak was very good. They serve the meat sliced on a hot stone. You can cook it as much as you like. The menu also includes a drink of your choice (cola, a glass of red wine, etc.), fries, and tiramisu. We paid 30 euros per person. The service and cleanliness were also good.

07/08/2025: The service was friendly, but not particularly professional—we expected more for a restaurant in this price range. Unfortunately, my salmon dish for €26 was very dry, and the skin was burnt. Furthermore, the glasses weren't clean. Overall, disappointing and overpriced.

03/08/2025: I didn't give it two stars because the desserts were good and the pizzas, which we didn't order, seemed OK. But the pasta was mediocre. The service is friendly (students) and the location is good. The bill is too high, though; other restaurants in the same area offer much better value for money.

06/07/2025: The pizza was inedible, used way too much oil, and tasted like frozen pizza. The waiters were completely unwilling to serve. NEVER AGAIN.

13/06/2025: Einfacht typisch Italienische Küche. Sehr ruhig gelegen im der Toskana. Einfache gute Küche. Mit Bilder schön beschrieben wie die Gerichte aussehen. Nonna macht die Pasta selber.

18/05/2025: In posizione defilata, lungo la strada che da Castel porta a San Gimignano, la Locanda del Borgo è un ambiente tranquillo dove si mangia toscano e bene. Ottimi i pici al ragú bianco di cinta senese così come le caramelle ripiene con la pera e il formaggio versato a cascata. Gustosissimo il tagliere con affettati toscani (coppa, finocchiona e salame) accompagnato da crostoni e salsine, il tagliere di formaggi e…senz’altro la famosa fiorentina che qui è certo di casa. Prezzi non economici, ma ormai nello standard. Cena consigliata a chi si trova da queste parti.

14/05/2025: In questo ristorante il cliente viene coccolato. Le pietanze di mare sono di altissimo livello,l'estetica dei piatti e perfetta,l'accoglienza veramente unica,gentilezza e professionalità distinguono questo piccolo locale Lunigianese. Lo consiglio vivamente.

19/04/2025: Ottima la qualità della pasta utilizzata e le proposte ma i frutti di mare belli solo all'apparenza, le vongole sono rimaste quasi tutte chiuse e i muscoli nel piatto veramente piccoli e secchi ottimi invece i gamberi. Frittura discreta per quantità, sufficiente per varietà e asciuttezza, buoni i due prodotti. Location nell' interno carina e buono e cordiale il servizio, vino della casa di qualità media. Sicuramente in questo ristorante si puo' mangiare meglio mangiando alla carta e azzeccando il piatto ma il contributo di riferisce ad una sera e a cio' che hanno portato. Prezzo medio e soddisfazione media.

05/06/2025: Un ristorante davvero incantevole, che unisce gusto, eleganza e accoglienza in modo impeccabile. Il locale è spazioso, arredato con gusto sobrio e curato nei dettagli, con ampie sale luminose e un’atmosfera rilassante, perfetta sia per una cena tra amici che per un’occasione speciale. Giorgia e Luigi, i proprietari, ci hanno accolto con grande gentilezza, facendoci sentire subito a nostro agio: attenti, disponibili e inclusivi, hanno reso l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. Eravamo in tre: io ho scelto un menù di terra, mentre le mie due amiche hanno optato per un menù di mare. Abbiamo iniziato con gli antipasti: io ho ordinato i crostini ai fegatini, davvero deliziosi, con un gusto deciso ma armonioso. Le mie amiche hanno preso delle frittelline di spigola, leggere, croccanti e profumate: un inizio perfetto. Come primi piatti, io ho gustato delle tagliatelle al ragù fatte in casa, cotte al punto giusto e condite con un sugo ricco e saporito. Le mie amiche hanno scelto due piatti di mare: gnocchi con gamberi, vongole e asparagi, un piatto fresco e ben equilibrato e un risotto alla pescatora, cremoso, profumato e ricco di sapori autentici. Per concludere, due dolci davvero indimenticabili: un tortino al cioccolato dal cuore fondente, intenso e avvolgente, e un crème caramel vellutato, delicato e perfettamente eseguito. Complimenti sinceri a tutta la cucina per l’altissimo livello delle preparazioni: ogni piatto è stato un piccolo capolavoro. Ma il merito più grande va senza dubbio a Erica, la pasticcera, capace di chiudere la cena con creazioni dolci semplicemente straordinarie. I suoi dessert ci hanno lasciato senza parole. Un’esperienza gastronomica completa, curata e pienamente soddisfacente. Torneremo sicuramente!!

31/07/2025: There were 3 of us who had dinner at Gulliver. Lovely starter. A little disappointed when 2 out of 3 got the main course, the pizza was served to another party who was supposed to have lasagna. After we said so, the pizza came. My husband ate meat with sauce, it was served without any side dishes. Something we think they should have said when ordering. The experience here is actually what we have experienced at most restaurants during our vacation. They have a bit poor control🫣
