21/11/2025: EVERYTHING and EVERYONE SUPERLATIVE, the place of ❤️ I've been coming here since 2016, and it's quickly become a favorite. The first thing that captivated and fascinated me was the menu (which has since changed), which reflects the philosophy of those who created and manage this splendid restaurant in both its old and new locations. I've tried the entire menu, and it's all special! Coming here is always an event for me! The value is exceptional, with reasonable prices for elaborate and expensive dishes like fillet steak and tagliata. I've celebrated many birthdays here (not just mine) and the dinner on my graduation day; we're regulars, as far as the distance allows. Having Gregorio and Bernardo makes everything even more special, because over the years we've developed a certain familiarity and we often sit down to chat with them. All the waiters I've met here are kind, polite, and respectful. For me, it's the ultimate! I miss Paola and her husband a bit, but it's only right that they get some rest. They've also passed the baton to equally special and unique people. Hugs from Marta, Stefano, Greg, Berny, and the entire staff! We love you so much 😘 and thank you for always making us feel so good 🙏 I recommend the entire menu, although for the appetizer, I'm obsessed with the truffle fondue!

21/11/2025: It's a pleasant discovery from a few years ago. They've now only moved the business a few hundred meters, but the quality of the food, the ingredients, and, above all, the friendliness haven't changed. They're young, and the place reflects the owners' vivacity. Pici all'aglione are sublime. I highly recommend them. Well done.

03/12/2025: I didn’t have the chance to experience the food, as I arrived at 7:15 am after seeing on Google that breakfast opened at 7:00 am, only to be met with an unexpectedly rude reception. When I first asked at the hotel reception, a staff member informed me that the restaurant was open but that I needed to use the front entrance rather than the hotel entrance—which was completely fine. I mentioned that the front door wasn’t opening, and she appeared go to address it. I returned to wait outside with my 4-month-old baby and 3yo in the cold. After five minutes with no update, I went back to reception, only to find the door closed and to be met with abrupt, dismissive behaviour from another staff member. I explained that the door still wasn’t opening, and he replied that if it wasn’t open, they “weren’t ready yet,” and I would simply need to wait. When I said I would just go elsewhere, he seemed entirely unconcerned and shut the door in my face. If the opening time is listed as 7:00 am on Google and communicated as such to guests, it’s unclear why the response was so rude and unhelpful. My family and I would have happily visited more often during our time in Florence. What made the experience especially disappointing is that my husband and I stayed at the hotel before having children and loved our stay, but this visit has made us realise how judgemental they are because we weren’t guests. Honestly outraged at the behaviour and as somebody that works in the industry, will be sure to spread the word.

18/11/2025: A place full of "friendliness" in the sense that I've never seen the staff sullen; the girls are always cheerful and smiling, always ready with a polite joke. For an appetizer, we chose a fried fish to nibble on while we waited for the main course, which they cook truly beautifully: the padellaccio. A quick and simple pizza split between four to quell any remaining hunger, very good wines, but the "gem" of the place, a jazz band that played all evening. To say they were excellent is an understatement. In any case, it was a cheerful and fun evening that we will definitely repeat soon.

07/12/2025: An excellent seafood restaurant. Excellent value for money. The only thing to note about the menu is that it's not very varied. We've been dining at Trinchetto quite frequently for several years, but the dishes have remained virtually unchanged. The restaurant is small but well-maintained.

15/12/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had dinner at Ristorante Da Oscar to celebrate a truly special occasion: our tenth wedding anniversary, and we couldn't have made a better choice. Da Oscar is undoubtedly one of the most well-known and appreciated seafood restaurants in Livorno, and the experience lived up to its reputation. The restaurant immediately conveys a sense of high quality, both in terms of the ambiance and the impeccable service: attentive, professional, and always friendly, without ever being intrusive. You feel pampered from start to finish. The cuisine is excellent. We started with a trio of seafood appetizers, all of which were of the highest quality, with attention to detail and the freshest ingredients. Before that, we enjoyed a complimentary seafood cream soup, a much-appreciated gesture that demonstrates customer service and a love of hospitality. For my first course, I enjoyed an extraordinary dish: pasta with sea urchin sauce, intense, balanced, and with an authentic seafood flavor, truly memorable. To round out the dinner, desserts: a millefeuille and a cheesecake, both excellent, light, and perfectly balanced. A great added bonus was the option to order everything gluten-free, without sacrificing taste or quality: a fundamental consideration that makes the restaurant even more recommendable. In conclusion, Da Oscar is an absolute guarantee: excellent seafood cuisine, high-level service, attentive customer service, and meticulous attention to detail. A perfect restaurant for both a romantic dinner and special occasions. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended! 👏🍽️🐟

19/12/2025: The All'Olivo restaurant surprised us; it was the first time we'd seen entire walls filled with wine bottles. The little space left contains sketches and drawings by famous illustrators who visited during the Lucca Comics and Games. The lunch exceeded our expectations, ending with one of the best passito wines we've ever tasted. A well-deserved Michelin mention.

02/11/2025: I went there with friends for dinner on a Saturday; the place was crowded and noisy. Service was quite slow. The appetizer was good, though. The pizza, on the other hand, was almost inedible in my opinion! The dough is machine-rolled and is incredibly thin, with almost completely charred edges and a soft, undercooked center! I didn't drink the barley I ordered instead of coffee; it smelled disgusting. I'm sorry, but I didn't feel well.
