10/08/2025: We stopped in on our way back from the beach on the recommendation of a local friend. I have to say, we had a really good time. The atmosphere was very refined and welcoming, the service was very professional and friendly, and the staff was friendly and approachable. But the best part was the food, which was a truly positive experience. The Florentine menu included tagliolini with truffles, and an excellent bottle of Chianti.

28/05/2025: The pici all’aglione (pasta made of water and flour and seasoned with a tomato sauce with garlic) are excellent, as is the acquacotta (a typical local soup). The Florentine steak, strictly rare, is also excellent; the desserts at the end of the meal are also good.

23/07/2025: WOW. This darling, family-owned restaurant in the tiny medieval village of Monte Benchi was one of the standout meals of our trip to Italy. Perched on a hilltop, the town—once a fortress—is now home to just 18 residents, three of whom run this incredible restaurant. The menu is handwritten on a chalkboard brought to your table, offering a small but thoughtful selection of traditional Tuscan dishes. Every plate was simple, authentic, and absolutely delicious.
The standout was the spaghetti pomodoro — incredibly simple, yet easily one of the best pasta dishes we’ve ever had. We also loved the perfectly cooked Florentine steak, a delicate ricotta-filled “crepe” pasta, and lemon chicken that was understated but packed with flavor.
Dining here felt like being welcomed into someone’s home, and wandering the picturesque, history-soaked village afterward made the experience all the more magical. An absolute must-stop — and truly one of the highlights of our entire trip.
26/06/2025: The restaurant is located in a very small and charming village, which enjoys a beautiful view of the hills, typical menu well presented by the co-owner. The first courses are good, the meat is quality and for this reason I would prefer less spiciness. (I took the pork fillet) but it is my personal taste. As for the desserts, I would have liked a little more originality in the proposal.
Overall a nice experience.
Reservations are recommended.

14/06/2025: I do not recommend this place to tourists because the staff is rude to customers. I am unable to evaluate the food as I did not get a chance to try it. Even though there were free tables, the staff did not accommodate us and made it clear that we should leave.

30/07/2025: We ate there several times last year and were looking forward to enjoying the restaurant and its cuisine again this year.
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed this year. The birthday surprise didn't work out, despite having been discussed and promised in advance by phone. Even discreetly asking about it that evening at the birthday dinner, the answer was, "Yeah, sure, no problem." Apparently, it was just the waiter...
After the mistake, the waiter tried to salvage something. A candle was stuck in a scoop of ice cream... Wax was dripping... Wax in the ice cream... Delicious...
Well, anyway. Besides, the food was better last year. New kitchen team?
Something can go wrong, I have over 30 years of restaurant experience.
But the chef ignored us the entire evening. All the other Italian guests were greeted, but not the "tourists."
We gave the restaurant a second chance on the last evening of our vacation. Unfortunately, a few things went wrong during that visit as well. The food wasn't really good. Old, dried-out lemons with the fritto misto; I've had better there. The truffle pasta was okay.
My partner was cold because it was very windy, so we asked for something to cover her shoulders, a shawl or something (they have a beach shop next door), or a tablecloth. The answer was no, it's not possible. We tried again with a different waiter, but it was okay; they handed us a tablecloth.
Otherwise, service was very slow, and there were long waits.
The manager was there again, but this time, no greeting for the tourists.
What a shame for such a beautiful place. It had so much potential.
24/07/2025: Completely overrated. "Wannabe" gourmet, the price/performance ratio is completely out of proportion.

06/07/2025: Discovered by chance on my way back from a business trip; the dishes I tasted (trio of tartare, tortelli with ossobuco and cockerel) were very good and well prepared and the waiting staff, kind and welcoming, made this lunch really very pleasant. If I pass by Greve again I will gladly return.
01/07/2025: An attempt to create fusion cuisine based on Italian classics. In my opinion, a bit unsuccessful. It may taste good, but... not in Tuscany. Chianti Riserva by the glass is great.

21/07/2025: Bistecca che puzza (sicuramente congelata in fase di marcimento), fritto dell'aia con 4 pezzi di fritto (15€ di piatto). Unica cosa positiva la cameriera, brava e solare. Per il resto male
19/07/2025: Esperienza pessima e chi mette più di una stella non ha mai mangiato un piatto che si possa solo lontanamente chiamare decente...tovagliette con macchie di caffè e briciole del pasto prima, forchette sporche e la bistecca talmente andata a male che se ne sono accorti anche due clienti del locale accanto a due tavoli di distanza da noi...e per concludere costretti a pagare in contanti SENZA SCONTRINO FISCALE. Veramente indecente, mai più.

The pink peppercorn and lime butter was superb!
I had the roast suckling pig, which was delicious, as were the mashed potatoes and pepper sauce. My mother had the linguine with raw shrimp, and it was excellent!

05/07/2025: Very well known pizzeria, I went there on recommendation and I also recommend going there. Very good pizza, delicious dishes, especially the fried seafood; fast service, very friendly and the waiters do not disdain even having a chat and a laugh with the patrons of the place.
The prices are very good for the quality of the food and desserts.
Two unpleasant things: the first is that parking is almost impossible, as the place is located along an arterial road in the city. The second is that the place is not very large and therefore it is better to visit it in spring and summer when the veranda is open and you can dine outdoors, if you suffer from narrow spaces.
01/07/2025: our first visit to the restaurant. very satisfied. nice atmosphere, very nice waiter with fast service. the food was really good. my partner ate pizza which he was very pleased with. i ate tortellini. meat filled with tomato sauce. we were offered "fried bread buns", called something special and were surprisingly good. the prices of the food were also a positive surprise. the restaurant. highly recommended

04/08/2025: Both times I've been to Italy and Florence, I've been to this beautiful place. Not only is the food great and super cheap, but you also enjoy a fantastic and super-friendly atmosphere. Just get there early because it fills up and it's first-come, first-served.
