09/08/2025: I'm disappointed. The restaurant is getting praise everywhere. It seems the staff has gotten used to it. Poor, slow service. Menus seem to be in short supply. Because they were out of fresh tomatoes, the dishes were simply served with tomato sauce. Surely you can discuss this with your guests beforehand. The food is good, but not outstanding—as it's portrayed in the press.

09/08/2025: An average trattoria in a place that was the birthplace of Andrea Bocelli, and therefore supposedly has a strong sense of Italian heritage, or at least claims to have one. The dishes aren't numerous, some absolutely local or Tuscan. Nothing special, starting with the appetizer, I recommend the mixed cured meats, which are quite generous with local produce and are pleasant to the taste. The same cannot be said for the prosciutto and melon, which is served with a hand-cut prosciutto that is tasteless, rubbery, and presumably old. The fried rabbit is almost entirely boneless, and the "peposo," a meat stew in a pepper and wine sauce, was drowned in vinegar, making it almost inedible. The house red wine is cold and undrinkable, and the white is barely acceptable when drunk chilled. On the plus side, however, they have a fairly extensive wine list, and you won't have a hard time finding something more than decent. Overall, you'll definitely find better in the area.

01/08/2025: The location off the main square promises 'non-touristy' services, and that's true, and a huge plus. The service creates a great atmosphere. The menu is short, but oh so refined. Delicious. Refined, quality, and fresh. The prices are also absolutely affordable. We highly recommend it, and best regards to the team. 🤗

27/07/2025: Dinner for four, three first courses and one appetizer, water, and a single beer, for a total of €76. Exorbitant. The first courses weren't even good. A €3 cover charge, which doesn't even include bread. The menu has very little choice. There are better.

20/07/2025: Everything about the restaurant is top-notch! The servers are very friendly, especially to children. You can order in English, as well as a few things in German. Despite a large number of people without reservations, two tables were put together to accommodate everyone. The food was fantastic :) Full marks on July 20, 2025

26/07/2025: We had only positive experiences with the restaurants we chose at Celiac Paradise Italy. But at the end of our time in Pisa, our visit to l'Arciere was the crowning glory in every sense of the word! We had two starters, four main courses, three desserts, as well as wine and soft drinks for four people, and the price stayed under €100! It was also the best pizza in Italy this year, and the gluten-free pizza was also excellent. This restaurant is a must-visit if you're in Pisa and love pizza!!! Thank you for this wonderful evening

18/06/2025: A great alternative to the tourist hustle and bustle of the city center. A small bar and delicatessen offering small specialties. The lady is very friendly and first asks very specifically about your wine preferences. Then you'll be served the perfect wine at a reasonable price. A snack is also included.

12/07/2025: Amazing restaurant in an incredible location. Had dinner on the terrace in the evening - the ambience was magical. The food was also exceptional and the service was impeccable. Be sure to make a reservation - when you book a table it is yours for the entire evening - no rushing to finish - you just enjoy the great food. Make sure to enjoy one of the Castellano de Trebbio wines from their wineries. The Chiantis are excellent. We’ll definitely be back - very memorable evening.

10/06/2025: Very friendly and welcoming service, who welcomed us warmly without a reservation. Great view and an authentic restaurant with a lovely atmosphere (and a 5-star hotel attached). Super delicious food (burrata as a starter, meat and pasta with truffle as a main course), delicious red wine, and an excellent dessert (cheesecake).

We ate Tortelli, Bistecca and more, Everything to our liking, excellent desserts and good wine. Great welcome and above all the girl who served us was friendly and kind. Air-conditioned environment We will definitely be back

22/07/2025: My girlfriend and I had a great time. The atmosphere was beautiful and quiet, the service was welcoming and friendly, and the food and wine were excellent. We went two nights in a row, each ordering different dishes, and they were all delicious.

The pasta was noticeably undercooked and lacked flavor — it really needed more seasoning, especially salt. For a small-town restaurant, the prices felt steep given the portion sizes and quality. That said, the vibe was really nice — cozy and stylish — and the service was friendly and attentive. It’s a shame the kitchen didn’t deliver, because the atmosphere and staff deserved better food to match.
