07/12/2025: My husband learned about this restaurant thanks to @f_panella's BEST WEEKEND show, filmed in Taormina. He fell in love with table 26, where Francesco Panella had lunch with the three contestants, so he surprised me by booking a table for our 39th wedding anniversary. Il Gabbiano Restaurant has a fabulous location with a terrace overlooking Isola Bella... simply enchanting. But beyond the postcard-perfect location, the food at Il Gabbiano Restaurant is excellent. The octopus, arancini, caponata, and tuna are all must-tries. I was also lucky enough to order an extraordinary off-menu dish: spaghetti with crab, which I'll never forget. Impeccable service 👏👏👏

07/12/2025: I saw Francesco Panella's TV show featuring this restaurant... I must say that when I visited them in person, I was greeted with hospitality, professionalism, and kindness from all the staff. Today, my wedding anniversary, we were pampered and served with excellent service. We had lunch on a very romantic and charming terrace overlooking the sea of ​​Giardini Naxos, facing Isola Bella! Thank you for the wonderful day we spent with you. Highly recommended ❤️

26/11/2025: In years past, this restaurant was one of my favorites. Unfortunately, recent visits haven't confirmed those positive memories. Prices have increased significantly, but the quality of the dishes hasn't kept pace. The dishes are lacking in flavor and, considering the high prices, significantly below expectations. I sincerely hope the restaurant regains the quality that made it special.

18/11/2025: Unfortunately, I live far from this shop, where I would be a loyal customer. They have everything I consider a treat and that gives me peace of mind. Luckily, online orders exist. I was really pleased with the service, very fast, and the package was well-packaged. Thank you.

23/09/2025: We were sitting on the beach in front of the restaurant. The smell of food made us hungry. I then found cozze (mussels) on the menu. The portion was a generous €15. I've never tasted better. Slightly spicy, with garlic, tomato, and white wine. Coperto was €1.50. The cozze is a dream. Good service with a sea view. Moretti draft beer is too expensive at €6 (0.4l).

22/09/2025: Lack of transparency... a well-kept beach in an excellent location... but what we consumers cannot and will not forgive is the lack of transparency and the unclear information regarding prices for admission, sunbeds, umbrellas, etc.

25/09/2025: A true gem in the lower part of the village, just a few meters from the sea and the pebble beach. The food is a delight for the taste buds; you'll never want to leave the table. All the freshest local fish is served with kindness by the owner Aldo's sons, who are also extremely hospitable and knowledgeable in explaining the dishes. The wine list is varied, featuring Sicilian products to suit all budgets. If you're near the village, stop here for an experience you won't soon forget.

13/09/2025: On the recommendation of a local, we opted for this restaurant... a beautiful, simply furnished room that adds warmth to the atmosphere, and a small outdoor terrace. Friendly and helpful service... Tagliatelle with cherry tomatoes, shrimp, and eggplant (very delicate), a good seafood appetizer, and a grilled dish (delicious sea bass), shrimp, swordfish roll, and grilled vegetables... We were very satisfied!

28/09/2025: -- Disappointing Experience at La Baracca I recently visited La Baracca, and unfortunately, the experience was anything but pleasant. The menu is extremely lacking in variety: few options, all banal, without any interesting or original offerings. But what made the evening truly unpleasant was the service. The waiters were rude and listless, with unprofessional attitudes and a clear lack of customer service. No smiles, no willingness to clarify questions about the menu, and extremely long waits even to order a glass of water. A place that, in my opinion, doesn't deserve the reputation it seems to have. If you're looking for a place where you feel welcomed and enjoy a delicious meal, I recommend looking elsewhere. ---

07/12/2025: We organized our son's Confirmation. Everything was impeccable, with attention to every detail. Excellent and highly professional service, attentive and knowledgeable staff. Top-notch hospitality. The finely furnished venue is a local gem. The chef's expertise ensured an extraordinarily balanced dinner. The owner, Mr. Cicero, is a guarantee of success.

17/09/2025: A pleasant resort with a spa. Spacious rooms and an on-site restaurant. The only downside is the lack of event planning (weddings and banquets), which clashes with the typical relaxation the average guest seeks in this type of place. Breakfast is plentiful and varied.

13/11/2025: Granduca in Taormina is one of those restaurants that instantly makes you feel like you’re in the heart of authentic Italian and Sicilian culture. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere stood out. The décor, the lighting, and the overall vibe create a very cozy environment that feels both welcoming and lively. If you’re lucky enough to get a seat on the balcony, the view is truly beautiful and adds an extra layer of charm to the whole dining experience. One of the things we loved most about Granduca is the strong Italian character of the place, especially with the traditional Italian pizza oven on display. It gives the restaurant a genuine, local touch and brings an element of tradition that you don’t find everywhere. It also sets the tone for the food quality, which did not disappoint. The menu offers a very good variety of classic Italian and Sicilian dishes, along with an excellent selection of drinks. We tried a couple of different pastas and pizzas, and everything we ordered was delicious. The flavours were well balanced, the ingredients tasted fresh, and the portions were satisfying without being overwhelming. It’s the kind of food that truly reflects the region’s culinary pride. Customer service was fair and generally pleasant, though there is room for improvement. Staff were polite and helpful, but service could be a bit more attentive considering how busy the restaurant gets. Overall, Granduca is a great choice in Taormina if you’re looking for excellent food, a warm atmosphere, and a wonderful Italian dining experience. We enjoyed our visit and would definitely return.

10/10/2025: We enjoyed a beautiful dinner at the Gourmet restaurant and cannot say enough good things about it! The staff was incredibly welcoming, warm, kind, and accommodating. We had the pleasure of getting to know Giuseppe and he made sure our experience was unforgettable. The flavor combinations were exceptional and unique with fantastic service and ambiance. 23/08/2025: The Jeep guy owes me an apology. Last night I was abused for leaving my car in the unloading lane, which has a 12-hour time limit. From 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, I parked after 9:30 PM, and the guy thinks he owns the road. You couldn't unload the drinks in 12 hours? And you attacked us, saying you shouldn't park there and using foul language. Last night was my son's birthday, and you got us off to a bad start. I'm very careful when I park, and there were no handicapped spots. If there had been, I would have parked there. You weren't right, even though my children and I had to put up with your bad temper. The most rational thing would have been to admit your mistake and apologize.

09/11/2025: We’ve been all around Italy and have never had a bad meal until tonight. Terrible pizza, tasteless crust and toppings. Had the Seabass supposedly encrusted with almonds….. horrible as well. I saw someone at another table barely eat their pizza as well. Don’t go here.

07/11/2025: We had our first lunch of our 2 week Italy trip here. We loved the Margherita and pesto pizzas. My husband also got the gnocchi, which he loved. Cute outdoor spot for lunch, would recommend.

22/04/2025: Die Küche hat ihre Highlights (Lamm) und ihre Lowlights (kalter Fisch serviert). Das Service ist bemüht, kommt aber nicht wirklich über einen mittleren Standard hinaus. Was uns nicht gefallen hat war die Atmosphäre. Man sitzt in einem in die Jahre gekommenen Wintergarten und das Lokal wirkt kalt. Hier scheinen auch nur Touristen zu speisen und keine Einheimischen, was wir in Italien nie als gutes Zeichen erlebt haben.

14/04/2025: Cenamos aquí por mi cumpleaños y tuvimos una noche muy encantadora. Las mesas de la pequeña terraza de la azotea están en un lugar muy romántico, con la cumbre del Monte Etna justo visible sobre los antiguos tejados. Fuimos muy bien atendidos por el personal y las opciones de comida y vino fueron algunos de los mejores que probamos en Taormina.
