23/10/2024: Restaurant and pizzeria. Tried it on a mid-week evening and in low season, therefore not crowded and a little melancholic, but the staff was courteous, the pizza was very good and the prices were very low. Too bad it's not in a more visible location, but it's worth looking for.

15/01/2025: Das Lupo di Mare ist eine sehr empfehlenswerte Adresse, wenn man auf Meeresfrüchte steht. Ich empfehle Frittura Mista di pesce. Ferner gibt es nebenan noch einen dazugehörigen Wein-Laden, aus welchem man im Restaurant bedient wird, oder einfach Wein kaufen kann. Die Geschäftsführerin ist sehr freundlich und engagiert.

12/11/2024: Sul lungomare di Giardini Naxos il ristorante offre un buon servizio e dell'ottimo pesce fresco. Vasta scelta di antipasti, ottimi primi, pesce sempre fresco da accompagnare con vini siciliani. Servizio eccellente, complimenti alla titolare Antonia che porta avanti con grande passione l'attività di famiglia, continuando in modo eccellente e con scelte oculate i sacrifici del grande Pippo e di Cristina.

29/10/2024: Excellent restaurant, top-notch, family-friendly service. Just the small downside that it is not possible to have a food and wine pairing. Which is normal for 9 services. The sardine and fennel pasta was for me the pinnacle of what I have tasted. And I wanted to thank them for the memories this dish brought back to me.

26/10/2024: The grounds were beautiful and spa options were excellent. Unfortunately, the massage therapist clearly didn't have a clue what she was doing and untrained.

16/03/2025: El servicio fue muy bueno con nuestra camarera. Patricia. La pizza era excelente y hay una serie de excelentes opciones de segundos vuelos. Es un valor razonable en esta ciudad tan inflada.

01/11/2024: Ambiance très agréable et cuisine locale raffinée pendant toute la semaine. Le weekend nous avons eu en plus le plaisir de rencontrer et donc écouter des morceaux joués au piano par un Pino Portelli. Bravo à tout le staff. Lidia et Jean-Michel

06/01/2025: Accogliente locale a Taormina, piatti della tradizione siciliana, ben cucinati, buona la materia prima. Attesa un po’ troppo lunga tra il primo e il secondo piatto.

13/01/2025: Fantastic authentic pizza in the heart of Taormina! We turned up without a booking and were lucky to get a fantastic seat outside watching the world go by. Service was marked down as it was exceptionally busy and a little slow but hats off as the waiters were run off their feet! Prices are reasonable and food was delicious so will definitely recommend and return!

18/03/2025: What a disappointment. Deplorable welcome, the servers seem depressed, or maybe they're taxed for smiling or looking at customers when they speak to them?! Barely a hello and not even a goodbye after paying. Having booked for the evening, we weren't able to enjoy the view, but the food was still good. It will remain a disappointment; we won't be returning and won't advertise it.

16/03/2025: Io e mia moglie con due cari amici, ci siamo fermati a pranzo in questo locale carino e pulito. Travolti in modo benevolo e positivo da uno chef simpatico, immediato e vulcanico. Antonio "Maradona" ti accoglie con un calore che ti avvolge e ti accompagna nel menù che si accinge a preparare. Che dire... Cibi buoni, genuini e preparati ad arte. Dagli antipasti misti ai primi con materie prime degne di lode. Agnello e salsiccia alla brace divini. Dolci deliziosi e prezzo molto onesto.Alla fine ci alziamo da tavola con rammarico e vorremmo restare a parlare ancora con Antonio e con il titolare. Sicuramente ci sarà un'altra occasione per assaggiare il coniglio al sugo. Posto consigliato per ritornarci tante e tante altre volte.

03/11/2024: In occasione di una gita a Montalbano Elicona, abbiamo pranzato in questo locale alle pendici del centro. Il proprietario del locale molto simpatico. Cibo genuino e di ottima qualità. Da provare se si passa da questo borgo delizioso.

26/09/2024: What a lovely time! We had read reviews on Villa Carla and called asking about a cooking class for dinner. The class, the food, the hospitality were all outstanding and lots of fun! Classes are only during the shoulder seasons when they aren’t so busy…we understand why! And the view at sunset is breathtaking.

01/09/2024: Locale molto gradevole alla vista in collina con bella terrazza e splendida vista Apparecchiatura curata Cibi molto buoni e finalmente alternativi a quelli che vengono proposti sull’isola dalla maggior parte dei ristoranti Piatti curati e cibo di giusta quantità Molto scorretta l’assenza del menù scritto e della carta dei vini. Per questo non ho dato il massimo

24/02/2025: Hi, as I noticed, season 2024, I'm going to the Vulcano Island on July 13th, calling the Forgia restaurant, telling me that the business would be ready. Chex, hosting me instead, the owner tells me after taking the phone call that the Forgia had moved, but in reality it wasn't like that. He hosted me in another place, calling himself a joke for the customers. Greetings.

24/02/2025: Abbiamo chiamato la scorsa estate su un numero di cellulare per prenotare e Maurizio ci dice che ha cambiato locale, quando arriviamo il personale ci dice che si Maurizio e li ma è un cameriere e che il suo locale è stato chiuso nel 2023. Capisco che sia difficile chiudere un attività dopo tanti anni ma non capisco perché comportarsi in maniera così scorretta. La Forgia non esiste più.

21/08/2024: One star because you can't do less, and I'll start by saying that even in mediocre places I don't leave negative reviews, I really don't like speaking badly about a restaurant. Here, however, we have really exceeded certain limits. I'll cut it short, we arrived and asked for the menu, to which we were told that the menu doesn't exist, the various proposals were listed, ONLY after asking. We take an octopus salad and two first courses. The octopus salad arrives INSTANTLY, and it would have been a good thing, if it hadn't been disgusting, since the octopus was rubber (fresh fish a couple of p**les), justified with "eh the fresh octopus still has its nerves". Obviously 3/4 pieces of octopus were enough for the appetizer and then it was left, the first courses arrived and here I must say they weren't disgusting, but not even worth spending nice words about because between the cuttlefish crumbs and the prawns present in the two dishes everything was anything but fresh, just frozen fish. We arrive at the bill where I would have honestly expected to at least not pay for that vile octopus salad, in any case I go to pay with a smile and say hello (not being greeted back or even looked at in the face, as I have seen in several reviews, it will be a habit bah) paying a price that would also be correct if it weren't for the fact that the quality of the food was really poor. I would like to further point out that this is the first negative review.

18/08/2024: A good place to eat fish is essential, they cook quite well, an excellent slice of pauro, a good fried fish with different types of fish, maybe some prawns and squid were missing, but excellently compensated by cuttlefish, perhaps worth seeing again. 'fish starter, lackluster, all in all a place worth trying, last but not least, impeccable and fast service. The only flaw is the location, from the eighties, but the quality of the food makes up for it.
