27/08/2024: Location molto molto bella , ha un piccolo Lido esclusivo e con buoni servizi ( bar , doccia, spogliatoio). Ristorante con servizio attento e professionale, dove cucinano ottimi piatti ! Prezzo giusto in rapporto alla GRANDE QUALITÀ di tutto ! Super e consigliato!

15/08/2024: Ristorante immerso tra gli ulivi, abbiamo cenato sulla terrazza panoramica con vista sul mare. Cibi abbastanza nella media dell'isola, presentazioni e porzioni dei piatti valide.

15/06/2025: Our first night in Taormina, we ended up at Ugo on a recommendation, the service was top, the owner was very nice, he served our table, talked about wine, olive oil and local products, with such passion that you listened with concentration. The food itself was honest and delicious, the atmosphere was truly family-like. We could eat here every day.

13/06/2025: Highly recommended! Very friendly staff and fast service. We had asked to have dinner quickly as we had a ferry back at 8pm and we were satisfied. The fish is very fresh; we were recommended spaghetti with catch of the day, really good. Excellent value for money. Must try.

05/07/2025: Food was good. However, I asked the server if we can get two glasses of wine. He did not ask me what kind of wine I wanted and said he will be right back. At the end of the night my bill came and turns out he charged me €98 per glass of wine. We had a total of 2 glasses. My meal alone was €500. The server took advantage of us and that's not right. I will not recommend this restaurant strictly because the server.

25/06/2025: Very negative experience in the bistrot section of the restaurant. The restaurant is split in two sections. Both sections are managed by Michelin star rated Chef. We ordered two glasses of wine, and appetizer, and two meals. The appetizer arrived 30 minutes later and the l bread and wine was not delivered until after. In fact, we had to inquire about the wine and waited for another 10 minutes. Unfortunately, this was not the end of the problems. We waited for another 90 minutes until we had to go and ask about the meal. During the wait time, the waiter never stop by to talk to us. The waiter apologized explaining that they are very busy tonight. This was Tuesday night and the restaurant was 50% empty. The waiter apologize multiple times, but there was no good explanation and every other table was also waiting for the meal for the extended period of time. Eventually, the meal arrived. It tasted good and it was consistent with the bistro style. The prices, however, were very high (not bistrot prices): The average appetizer was €25-€30 and an average main corse was about €38. An average bottle of wine was above €80 including local wines. We paid €148 for one appetizer. Two main courses and 2 glasses of local wine. At this price levels, the service offered was completely unacceptable, shameful, and undeserving. There was absolutely no reason why the bistro section of the restaurant was let down entirely. I can only imagine how people felt if they chose this restaurant for a special occasion. At the table next to us people got tired of waiting and left without their meal. They were clearly very disappointed as well. If you are considering this restaurant for your memorable meal, please look somewhere else. If you are considering to go for the Michelin star section of this restaurant, I would not go there either unless you like this type of service.

05/06/2025: Want to eat like a Sicilian local, this is the place to go. Fresh catch of day is so. Fresh pasta is something to taste. The vin selection is great including the dessert wines and aged grappa ( barricate).Reasonable price for the quality of food.

17/05/2025: Outdoor zone offers a nice Taormina vibe. Spaghetti seafood is well balanced, not too salty, and Tiramisu is yummy!

17/05/2025: Everything was tasteless! The orange & fennel salad looked like my 6 year old granddaughter put it together. They give you tasteless balsamic to put on it and salt. Grotesque! The pasta with sardines was just awful. I’ve had it twice before while visiting Sicily this week. I’ve had great pasta with sardines. This pasta was mushy - the manager gave me some BS that it’s homemade asta so it’s not Al dente. BS! Even the bread is tasteless. So many better places to eat!!!! I wasted a night in Taormina!

17/04/2025: The fish is fresh and really tasty, you can see that the chef is experienced and knows his stuff. Too bad about the waiting times: we waited 45 minutes for the starters and another 30 minutes for the first and second courses. Considering it was 8pm and ours was the only occupied table, it was quite disappointing. Total cost (2 starters, 3 first courses and one second course) for 4 people around 35 euros each, including wine.

30/06/2025: I had dinner here last night, the view is beautiful, the staff very courteous and competent. Both the first and second courses were very good, we will definitely be back! If you are in Giardini di Naxos, stop by!

18/06/2025: Had lunch at this restaurant the day we arrived in Filicudi and I have to say the experience was great. The tuna with sweet and sour onions and the belly with escarole and pine nuts were perfectly balanced and really tasty. Recommended!

08/05/2025: A good place to eat fish is essential, they cook quite well, an excellent slice of pauro, a good fried fish with different types of fish, perhaps the prawns and squid were missing, but they were excellently compensated by cuttlefish, perhaps the fish starter should be revisited, lacking, all in all a place worth trying, lastly, what is quite important, impeccable and fast service. The only flaw is the location, from the eighties, but the quality of the food is Compensa. It has now closed permanently for several months.
