07/01/2026: The Spritz was good. The "trattoria-style" checkered paper placemats could be avoided. Nothing stood out as negative or particularly positive. Aperitif served with a small bowl of chips and olives, and a few peanuts. A Spritz cost €12, while a gin and tonic costs €16, etc. Maybe I'll give the pizza and the restaurant a second chance. The evening atmosphere was nice, with fairy lights.

06/01/2026: Reason immediately. Service so efficient that they kicked us out within 25 minutes, and in a rather rude manner. It was New Year's Eve, and we booked 10 days in advance. We were offered either the first sitting (8:30 PM) or the second sitting (10:30 PM), and we chose the first sitting. We arrived at 8:25 PM, sat down, and within a few minutes, they came by three times to order, even though we were still reading the menu. After ordering, the appetizer arrived within 5 minutes, and before we'd finished it, the pizzas arrived. My pizza plate was taken away when my girlfriend wasn't even halfway through, and as soon as she finished, we were asked if we wanted anything else. After we said "not at the moment," we received the bill and the waiter came to the table with the POS. It was 8:50 PM. I wondered, if the second shift was at 10/10:30 PM, what was the point of kicking me out after less than half an hour, on an evening when I wanted to eat but also relax? The answer was: the line of people without reservations outside, who couldn't be refused, and the god of money in charge.

18/01/2026: I've been twice and will return again. Excellent hospitality, and the wellness center is top-notch. The price is reasonable for the services they offer.

05/01/2026: The structure is cared for down to the smallest details, but what distinguishes this structure from others is the very professional staff who know how to take care of you in every way.

25/12/2025: If we could give a sixth star for the service and atmosphere, we would. Massimiliano's welcome, going above and beyond to find solutions for us, even on Christmas Eve, is fabulous and warm. Thank you for these wonderful memories!

12/11/2025: "Where's the Calamari?" My friend asked me when we ordered the Calamari pasta. This is the best way I can sum up our visit to Ingrid. For €18 it was terrible value and student quality food with barely any Calamari. The waiter told us there was no menu, which I found quite strange, felt like a way to invent a price on the spot and see if people will pay it. Left with with bad vibes from this place. Should have trusted my initial instinct, don't really get the good reviews.

20/08/2025: The best resort on Salina, from what we've seen, is the Aeolian Islands. A private beach with a wooden platform and lifeguards, a shaded olive grove with a kiosk, a restaurant, tables, and hammocks. And a magnificent botanical garden to stroll through. Perfect for those looking for amenities.

27/09/2025: A wonderful experience in a welcoming and quiet atmosphere. The staff were extremely kind and friendly, and the food was delicious and fresh, featuring the catch of the day. Definitely worth repeating. I highly recommend it.

29/10/2025: We will never forget our stay in this magnificent place! The location is quite good, between Mount Etna, Isola Bella, and the Alcantara Gorge. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is plentiful. The dinner menu offers healthy and varied dishes. There is also a swimming pool and a reading area. While the Wi-Fi doesn't work in the rooms, it is available in the breakfast and dinner areas. This is a minor inconvenience compared to the overall experience. I highly recommend it.

17/10/2025: The accommodation is beautifully landscaped. The room is clean and spacious. Tanja is very friendly and helpful at breakfast. She also speaks German. As a German, you'll need plenty of time at the restaurant. From appetizer to main course, it takes 1.5 hours. They said that's normal in Sicily. 🤔 We'll see, we'll try a different restaurant tomorrow.

23/10/2025: I am speechless. I never ate such a sad potatoe in my whole life before. The rest wasn't better. The most joke was that they aren't using capers from the island, which is also called the caper island. Instead they use capers from the jar with vinegar. What...?

15/10/2025: I had a very tasty meal here, and the service was quick and friendly.

23/09/2025: We were sitting on the beach in front of the restaurant. The smell of food made us hungry. I then found cozze (mussels) on the menu. The portion was a generous €15. I've never tasted better. Slightly spicy, with garlic, tomato, and white wine. Coperto was €1.50. The cozze is a dream. Good service with a sea view. Moretti draft beer is too expensive at €6 (0.4l).

22/09/2025: Lack of transparency... a well-kept beach in an excellent location... but what we consumers cannot and will not forgive is the lack of transparency and the unclear information regarding prices for admission, sunbeds, umbrellas, etc.

04/01/2026: Terrible experience. Bad food, difficult to identify the recipe and ingredients, and very expensive. The only place we've eaten badly after a week in Naples and another in Sicily. The waiters were friendly, but the food was very bad, and the price was exorbitant. They brought us what was supposed to be pasta "a lla norma," but it was clearly "alli pesto," and from a jar. I don't recommend it.

19/08/2025: This place embodied what keeps Sicily from standing out above all others. A dinner for vacationers with a craving for meat. Five of us showed up and were seated at a table inside, which I was forced to appreciate, despite the heat and the mere presence of fans, since everywhere outside, people are still allowed to smoke rudely in front of those eating. People need to be legally obligated; respect and civic duty are nonexistent. Luckily, we were first to arrive, even though it was 8:00 PM. So, no delays with service. We skipped the first courses, ordering three appetizers to share and five second courses: fillets, tagliata, veal cheek, as well as a good 2017 Sicilian wine. All excellent. What's the flaw? The side dish for the two beef fillets, as per the menu, was "ash-fried potatoes"; the other three second courses included mashed potatoes. When the dishes arrived, they all contained mashed potatoes. Naturally, we prefer to eat hot, but as soon as one of the staff approaches, I ask why the side dish was changed from the menu, adding with a smile, "Maybe the chef didn't feel like making the potatoes à la citron." Unless I misunderstood, I was told the chef was on vacation and was handed the menu so I could verify what I was already sure of. Nothing more. I don't apologize for the forced change, but at least offer a half-word to justify it. Nothing at all. At the end of the dinner, I ask another woman in the dining room about it, who tells me they had a reception at lunch that messed everything up. End of excuse... But can you? If I order a pizza with chopped cherry tomatoes, can you just bring it to me with the sauce and not care? It's still tomato, right? What was the point of coming to the table before the dishes arrived and saying a few words about it? Who would have objected? Oh well, in Sicily, simmu cussi! I pay the bill, after pointing out the extra glass of wine I'd ordered before opting for the bottle, which is promptly deducted. I thank them for the excellent meat (not the side dish), say goodbye, and leave. Nothing is missing from achieving excellence. Except, perhaps, it doesn't matter. And as a native of the island, that's precisely what bothers me.

26/09/2025: Romantic atmosphere, excellent quality food, just the right portions and kind and attentive staff.

23/09/2025: There's not much to say... I ordered pasta with sea urchins twice! My partner had never had it before and loved it. We arrived late (10 PM on Monday) because we were on a hike, so we called beforehand to make sure we could have dinner. Despite the hour, they welcomed us warmly and had us eating right away. I read in the reviews that the portions aren't generous: to be clear, compared to other more touristy places, that's true, but those are excessive and I can't finish them... so I think it's a question of expectations. But it's not a flaw! Precisely because the dishes are loaded with sauce (the pasta with sea urchins had so much fish - and it was real sea urchins!! Everything... which they often mix up) the prices? They're not high... it depends on the dish you order: it's perfectly normal for some ingredients to cost more. The staff was friendly and kind the whole time. I'm sorry I didn't take photos because I was too hungry 😆

18/12/2025: I loved this place; I felt comfortable stopping here before boarding the boat for the island. But tonight they 'bounced' me, nothing, not even a small effort to find me a place. So, au revoir! Milazzo offers many other interesting alternatives.

17/12/2025: Super-nice place in Milazzo. We had fried fish and linguine with scampi tartare and truffle. The first course was one of the best I've ever had, definitely worth a try!
