03/10/2025: Very long wait times (few customers, simple dishes, etc.). Ingredients listed on the menu aren't served. The answer is, "There are different preparation methods, we cook it differently here." Please don't write that on the menu.

30/09/2025: I don't want to just leave a review, but a huge compliment. I spent three nights in a row at this wonderful place, where not only the atmosphere enchants you. The food is divine, and the live music makes dining here a unique and fantastic experience. Above all, I'd like to leave a huge compliment for the service: I traveled alone, but thanks to the guys at La Scala, I had evenings filled with laughter and good humor. For those who stop by, try the seafood linguine and enjoy a lovely cocktail, made with love—it really shows. If I ever return to Taormina, I already know I'll be back at La Scala Restaurant. 23/07/2025: Il Ristorante Sire 🍽, in zona Recanati si affaccia sulla strada e attira subito l'attenzione. Siamo tornati due volte, a pranzo abbiamo gustato degli ottimi caserecci al pistacchio 🍝 (con pasta fresca, pancetta, cipolla, panna e parmigiano): davvero saporiti e ben bilanciati nei sapori! Molto buone anche le insalatone, fresche, ricche e ben composte. A cena abbiamo optato per la pizza 🍕, per la verità deludente: impasto poco digeribile, difficile da tagliare e che, raffreddandosi, diventa stopposo. Per ora, promosso il ristorante ✅️, bocciata la pizzeria ❌️. P.S. A Giardini Naxos, trovare una pizza veramente buona si sta rivelando una vera sfida! 😅

11/10/2025: Maurizio was very kind and welcoming. The caponata was the best I've tasted in the Aeolian Islands, and the stuffed squid with sauce was wonderful! Thank you.

05/10/2025: For the owner alone this restaurant is worth a visit. Such a lovely and engaging man, who spoke Italian, English and German with us. The food is delicious and though on the pricier side, portion size and quality justify it. We had the best seafood noodles here. (Sadly I only have a photo of the empty shells)

04/10/2025: We were very disappointed: • Poor and careless food – the Caprese salad (€10) was just two sliced tomatoes with a few pieces of mozzarella and no dressing at all (see photo). • Long waiting time, even though the place was not busy. • Huge “Pizza” sign outside, but they only serve pizza in the evening – very misleading! • Absolutely not worth the price. • Only positive point: the water was nicely chilled. Definitely not recommended.

01/10/2025: Stopped for an end of night wine and cannolo. Great prices, fast service, no frills. Looks intimidating as it's very local, but it's open to all!

06/09/2025: Clean place, great food, and a small farm and playground. Miriam, our waitress, was really kind and welcoming.

28/08/2025: The space was poorly maintained, the prices were too high for the quality, and we found hair in the food. They offered to replace the dish. Not recommended.

13/09/2025: Excellent seafood dinner. Dishes were divinely cooked with generous portions. The house wine was worthy of the food. We had a divine dinner and will definitely return. Please note that this review is written by a Neapolitan who knows his way around seafood. Well done, and thank you for the wonderful dinner.

08/05/2025: Vino a través de este lugar en nuestro primer día en Taormina para el almuerzo. Tuvimos un gran almuerzo en una bonita terraza. La pizza era la mejor que tuvimos en Taormina y una gran carbonara también. Terminé viniendo aquí para almorzar dos de los cuatro días aquí. Buena relación calidad-precio y lo recomendaría.

04/05/2025: Lindo comedor con vista, pero eso es todo. La comida es promedio, pero sorprendentemente el vino fue diluido. Pedimos una jarra de vino tinto de la casa y nos quedamos atónitos cuando lo probamos y obviamente era medio agua. Nunca he tenido esto en ningún restaurante.

01/08/2025: Abbiamo mangiato a pranzo in questo ristorante, su una bella terrazza con vista mare. Abbiamo mangiato pane cunzato, frittura mista, spiedini di pesce spada. Buon cibo, piatti tipici, servizio veloce e prezzi adeguati.

22/07/2025: Luftiger Terasse, Blick aufs Meer, sehr gutes Essen: Pizza blitzschnell am Tischund köstlich,,Risotto und Nudel absolut top! Hauswein kühl und leicht. Absolut empfehlenswert!

07/09/2025: The americano coffe went today ( 7/9/25) from 2€ at 10:15 to 3€ at 17:50 i didn't say a word to the smiley lady who took my money im on holidays and not going to have an argument for an euro, but here is my warning to you...in reaity im curious maybe if i come back at 21h..... will it be even more expensive or cheaper?? Aaaah the wonders and surprises a tourist has to endure someplaces.....

04/09/2025: The pizza is decent and the location is very nice, but all of this is overshadowed by the staff, which to call inadequate is an understatement.

17/09/2025: Popped in here for a drink after a nighttime boat trip to see Stromboli volcano. 🌋 It closes not long after 21:30 and the staff started to clear tables and removing seat cushions and gestured to us to drink up! I don't know why we were served when it was so close to closing time! Nice decorative tables.

19/08/2025: Shame on you: due to a mistake by the kitchen and the service staff, a 7-year-old girl's spaghetti arrived after an hour. It was overcooked and full of broken shells. Not even a €1 discount or a free limoncello.
