04/05/2025: I thought it was really great! The restaurant is not fancy, but has a cozy atmosphere. The food was delicious and the service was both attentive and super friendly! We had bruschetta as a greeting from the kitchen, grilled fish in caper and lemon sauce with mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables as a side dish and grilled fish (sea bream) with lemon and mashed potatoes. I also asked if I could have an Amari Spritz and even though our waiter seemed to find that irritating, he made me one and it was delicious too!

17/05/2025: We stayed at Sayonara beach for two days straight and liked it a lot. The staff is very friendly and the area is well taken care of. The toilets could be cleaner and might need a renovation though

16/02/2025: Excellent choice 👍 we went for lunch, we enjoyed some real delicacies; various well-presented starters of excellent quality, first course: homemade macaroni in black pork sauce, second course: mixed grill, strictly black pork and baked garden potatoes, what can I say, all delicious. Cozy and clean rustic environment; the owner made us feel at home; friendly and helpful staff. The prices are adequate in relation to the quality. We will gladly return to the Badia a Ficarra, however it is a fascinating and elegant location, you can breathe sea and mountain air, you can enjoy a magnificent panorama. I recommend booking the Badia, it is appreciated by many👏

03/06/2025: The experience at the restaurant for a dinner was amazing. The staff and owner were welcoming and friendly while the view on the sea was breathtaking. The fish/seafood discovery menu was so fresh, tasty and a good bang for the buck. We are for sure coming back during our next trip to Sicily!!

05/05/2025: Consigliati da un amico, abbiamo deciso di provare questo locale nel centro di Messina. Nato dalla passione di due professionisti di altro settore, sono riusciti a mettere in piedi un ristorantino molto gradevole. Location semplice, personale molto cordiale e disponibile, così come il titolare che ha preso l'ordinazione, molto premuroso anche con nostro figlio che è stato loro ospite. Mi permetto di fare un piccolo appunto sulla mise en place, non amo le 'tovagleitte' rigide sottopiatto, per una questione di praticità. Detto questo passando alla cucina, il menù presente dei piatti interessanti, non complessi ma strutturati nella loro "semplicità" con accoppiamenti non azzardati. Noi abbiamo preso 2 antipasti, io un primo e mia moglie un secondo. Tutto buono, gradevole al palato e lineare nel gusto. Visto il grazioso locale, mi permetterei di consigliare una carta dei vini non con fogli plastificati...che mi sa più da locale turistico. Che dire...lo consiglio senza dubbio, sia per la qualità del cibo, sia per la cortesia e disponibilità del personale e del titolare. Sicuramente ci rivedremo.

29/04/2025: Wonderful staff. Mediocre food. Good wine. Good dessert. Found food very bland, not seasoned and generally didnt have the satisfaction of a good meal. Very small portions too.

03/06/2025: It's worth coming for the whole range of "Antipasto" fish appetizers. Served in small portions one after another on many plates :) Delicious and fresh, tried for the second time and delicious for the second time. Spaghetti with seafood...mmmm :) I RECOMMEND Ps. È un posto originale e speciale. Vero Siciliano. ❤️

02/06/2025: Without exaggerating… it was one of the best fish-based dinners in recent years (and believe me… there were quite a few). the raw and cooked appetizer was excellent and the two first courses (the captain's and seafood) were unsurpassable. Kindness and availability topped it all off. I will return to try the second courses.

21/05/2025: Beautiful view of the sea, always very busy, service sometimes a bit overwhelmed but otherwise ok.

17/05/2025: Beautiful small beach, not too busy, not as many beds as other beach clubs but we got there around 10:30 and didn’t have a problem getting a bed. You can rent towels for a fee. The food and service were great.
