16/10/2025: We arrived here near to closing time but were greeted with warmth and a smile. We shared a jug of local white wine and Classic Bruschetto 👌 We also had the vegetarian macaroni dish and it was yummy.

For those who want to try deliciously flavorful dishes, this is the place to be! I was blown away by the perfection of the dishes and the kindness of the chef, incredible!

30/01/2026: I went to this cozy and intimate restaurant. After looking at the menu, I was too undecided… so, as a seafood lover, I let Chef Simone surprise me. He brought me this amazing sea urchin spaghetti dish — the photo speaks for itself! Five stars aren’t enough for a plate like this. Highly recommended, and I can’t wait to go back!

We only chose two courses from the menu, and were told that if we had chosen the courses separately the prices would have been different, but they hadn't imagined this. We had a lentil mousse and a main course: 1 shrimp with 1 artichoke and shaved parmesan. 1/4 bottle of house wine and a chocolate heart for dessert. €97 Luckily we got the 7-euro discount! Had we known, we would have ordered the full menu and spent even less, paradoxically. The dishes were a bit sparse. The receipt was unclear, very unclear, which bears witness to what was said. We don't recommend it. I'm replying in my own review because there's no other way to respond to the Osteria. I even more strongly discourage this place, and I'd add that we wholeheartedly welcome the advice to eat a sandwich because when we decide to sit down in a restaurant, we choose by looking at the paper menu or even online, but certainly by the prices listed, not verbally, without knowing the cost of the dishes. Indeed, a self-respecting restaurant that respects its customers would also list the costs of all dishes externally, or at least bring the menu to the table. And always considering a self-respecting restaurant that deserves to be called such, it doesn't issue a receipt indicating: Main courses €90 as an indication of the entire meal. And in response to the negative review, he commented: "Let's do the math together." Math isn't done together, it's put on the receipt!! I'd add that this place is only an Osteria in name. As for the compliments, they were undoubtedly deserved, and I reiterate that the dishes were good. 11/11/2025: Delicious pizza! If you're visiting Malfa, you absolutely have to go here. I especially recommend the pizzas on the specials menu if you can't decide among the others. Fresh ingredients and lots of local variations. And definitely order dessert! It's absolutely worth it. Open on weekends outside of peak season.

21/03/2026: ***The restaurant owner's response only confirms my review... My experience at Da Marino Pizzeria was unfortunately very disappointing. Beyond the quality of the pizza, which was among the worst I've ever tasted, what was negative was the attitude of the staff. When faced with comments about the poor quality of the product, their friendliness faded, and one sensed a lack of willingness to engage in discussion. The pizza, specifically, had a clearly poorly leavened dough, with almost no air pockets and a heavy consistency that made it difficult to finish. The raw materials used also seemed of questionable quality, contributing to an overall unpleasant experience. Overall, a negative experience in many respects, both in terms of food and service. Greater attention to both product quality and customer service would be desirable.

07/08/2025: After two weeks in Taormina, we discovered this hidden gem on our last day and what a wonderful surprise! The warm, welcoming atmosphere created by the kind family who runs the place made us feel right at home. The food was exactly what we needed: comforting and full of flavor. The vegetable soup was absolutely delicious, the lamb cotoletta was tender and perfectly cooked, and the tagliatelle and swordfish rolls were just fantastic. On top of all that, the prices were the best we found in Taormina — great quality without the tourist mark-up. I only wish we had found this place sooner! Highly recommended.

11/12/2025: Visited A Massaria on our first night in Taormina. The atmosphere had a relaxed outdoor garden vibe, and the service was friendly and easygoing. Tried a few of their dishes — they were good, though nothing particularly memorable. Overall, it’s a pleasant spot and worth a return visit, especially to try the pizza, which seemed to be their standout draw. Saluti
