16/01/2026: Delicious local food at very reasonable prices. For €20 per person, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat quality food accompanied by house wine. The staff is extremely courteous and professional. The warm and welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home; we'll definitely be back!

25/02/2026: ⛔️AVOID THIS RESTAURANT I ordered the Crudo Royal (€30 - Scampi, Fish Carpaccio, Red Prawn, Tuna, Oyster) tonight. Please take a look at the picture to see what I actually received, aside from the quality. Waiting time: 45 minutes (in an empty restaurant!?) Plate check: loads of tiny scampi, tuna, red prawns (without tongs to crack them open), and some kind of white stuff. NO FISH CARPACCIO!!! NO OYSTER!!! On top of that, everything, EVERYTHING, was frozen, thawed (hence the long wait), and then marinated in oil. The poor, pale seafood was cold and slimy. He said it was oil... it was thawed stuff! Incredibly disgusting. I could only wash it down with white wine. I should have sent the plate straight back to the kitchen; this is completely unacceptable!!! Before paying, I wanted to know where the oyster was. I only just noticed the missing fish capaccio. The chef made excuses... nothing was delivered this evening, but he compensated. Compensated with what?! I ordered the most expensive appetizer, and he didn't want me to change my mind, so he decided to simply alter the dish for me. I wasn't asked beforehand, nor was I informed. That's incredibly disrespectful and dishonest. Communication is everything. Regarding the slimy leftovers, he claimed they were marinated. It's a disgrace that such a person is a chef in a restaurant; shame on you!!! I paid the €40 without further discussion, but he more than deserves this bad review. The waitress was only physically present. She never came by to ask if everything was alright, if I wanted another glass of wine. Nothing. A completely bizarre experience. If your health is important to you, please spend your money elsewhere!

25/02/2026: We stopped here on a whim and had a very good meal (mussels, spaghetti carbonara, penne alla Norma). The dishes were not only perfectly prepared but also beautifully presented. We didn't have to wait long. A true professional with a passion for their work is at work here. The server was probably still in training, but very attentive and friendly. However, the clientele was quite small, consisting of only two couples.

23/12/2025: The place is similar to a trattoria, but with portions reminiscent of a fine-dining restaurant. Good, local food, simply prepared, reminiscent of home cooking (a much appreciated aspect). Fast service, though the dishes are not coordinated. The bathroom is spotless. The prices are a bit high.

03/01/2026: An excellent experience in every way. We went to this restaurant for lunch a few days ago and enjoyed an excellent Sicilian meal: from appetizers to first and second courses, everything was truly delicious. The cannoli deserve a special mention, among the best I've ever eaten. We then returned for dinner and tried the pizza, which was also excellent, well-made and tasty. The service was impeccable on both occasions, and the owners were extremely kind and welcoming. We come from Catania specifically to eat here and will definitely be back!

18/01/2026: Finally, after years of coming to this magnificent restaurant, I can write my own review. I waited to do so on purpose, after having tried all—and I repeat, ALL—the restaurants in the area and beyond, I can say without a doubt that it is the absolute best, in terms of food, service, and value, and I can say this with complete certainty. I recommend everyone to try it, and you will definitely return, as I obviously did! TOP in the area! Kudos to the chef, but also to his wife, for her professionalism and dedication to her work.

12/01/2026: Good evening, I purposely left my name so it could be traced back to me, because I was so disappointed. Going back to that evening, if you had told me right away that you only worked by reservation, I would have walked away without batting an eyelid; I would have understood. But when you started serving me, offering me items that were free and out of order, and then less than two minutes later your colleague took those same items from the counter to fulfill a phone order (I was actually there), I'm sorry, but I didn't think it was fair on your colleague's part. I did appreciate the effort she made to go and see if there were any free items, and I tell you, just to please a customer, I would have grabbed a few things here and there and put together a tray, even the smallest one, just to "make up" for the mix-up. But that wasn't the case. In fact, my colleague kept suggesting she offer me "the remaining focaccia" from the reservations being prepared, meaning I had to settle for flavors I don't like... It wasn't the best, and if you appreciate constructive criticism, you'll agree with me. As a customer, I assure you, it wasn't nice to realize that I was a second-rate customer, and so I felt it was my duty to write a review. I'm not disparaging anyone, I was simply expressing my disappointment about true events. Happy New Year to you.

12/10/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tao Beach Club – Excellent Experience! Tao Beach Club is an excellent option for a relaxing day at the beach. The service is outstanding, and the restaurant is truly top-notch. A special thank you to Natalia, who is exceptionally customer-focused — even though the club was fully booked, she called me back as soon as a cabana became available and reserved it for us. It happened to be the last day of the season, and my wife and I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend it. The atmosphere, service, and attention to detail made it a perfect ending to our trip. Highly recommended!

09/02/2026: My wife and I dined here while on vacation. The setting is absolutely lovely on the steps. The food — while not innovative or unique — was perfectly cooked and tasty. I would normally have given this place 5 stars were it not for the obnoxious service. I asked the server for two glasses of red wine to try before choosing one. There was no list of wines by the glass (mind you), so it was not clear how many total wines there were by the glass. Or if a wine by the glass list existed, it wasn’t presented to us. The server brought out the glasses, but I didn’t care for either so I asked if there was maybe a 3rd I could try. That’s when — in the most condescending manner I’ve ever experienced from a waiter in my life — they scoffed and laughed at me saying “in Sicily there are only two types of red wine.” Translation: “you idiot…why are you bothering me with such dumb requests.” I was so astonished and rattled at how they mocked me that I had to excuse myself from the table and go to the bathroom to take a pause. When I came out of the bathroom I was visibly shaken that the owner came up to me to ask what was wrong. I told him what happened and asked for a new server. The owner — a truly gracious soul whose wife was about to give birth any day — offered to be our server for the night. While the owner did his best to rectify the situation, the evening had already been ruined. I would’ve given 1 star had it not been for the kindhearted owner who understood the importance of service relative to the high prices they charge. While this happened maybe 9-10 months ago, it still pops into my mind from time to time. I’m writing this bad review for my own personal closure so I can stop thinking about how mistreated I was, and to warn the owner that others will leave bad reviews if they keep that obnoxious waiter on staff. And, for the record, their staff should be educated on Sicilian wine better. While there are indeed two main red varietals Sicily is famous for, there are plenty more that are grown in Sicily. So they mocked me for not knowing something that they were completely wrong about. How ironic.
