16/03/2024: La Mandragola is a beautiful ristopub that I have been frequenting for years, the most comfortable place (in my opinion) in the city of Gela. Excellent for drinking, eating and spending pleasant evenings with friends and acquaintances. Polite and sociable staff and management!
11/03/2024: Just one flaw... Small place for all those people, but it's historic, maybe that's the beauty of it... Maybe if they sell nearby, some walls will be knocked down 😁😬😅❤️

I would like to thank Gianni and his staff for being the soul of an event that I will hardly forget. Without him everything would have had a different "taste".
31/07/2024: Wij vroegen of we hier alleen een drankje konden nuttigen. Dat kon, geen probleem. Wij 2 biertjes besteld, menukaart doorgenomen om misschien die avond terug te komen en biertjes opgedronken en de rekening gevraagd.
Waar wij erg van schrokken. Biertjes €12,- en servicekosten €6,- totaal €18,-
We zeiden nog dat wij dit belachelijk vonden voor 2 biertjes te brengen, maar moesten dit wel betalen. Oplichters zijn het. Uiteraard gaan wij hier nooit meer terug.

25/08/2024: Abbiamo preso pizze da asporto in questo locale che è sicuramente un punto di riferimento a Pergusa ....grande varietà di pizze, ingredienti buoni ma l' impasto non è stato di nostro gradimento...troppo duro, asciutto con i bordi non ben lievitati...la digestione è risultata un po' difficile, nonostante io avessi scelto la romana, che è una delle più semplici...fossi in voi, mi concentrerei di più sull'impasto e sui tempi di lievitazione

Pizze un po' bruttine e secche, non esattamente le napoletane che ti aspetti. Il gusto non apprezzatissimo da chi l'ha mangiata al tavolo.
Proprietario molto "d'iniziativa", quasi invadente.
L'aspetto meno piacevole è stato un pelo bianco nella bruschetta che mi ha fatta fermare al fritto iniziale già ordinato senza procedere al resto.
Chi è arrivato al dolce ha definito il tiramisù appena mangiabile.
Mi aspettavo qualcosa di più. Ci tornerò per capire meglio se era la serata no o se è la norma.

19/08/2024: We were seated at a table and then no one even looked at us for a while. A table left with a better view so once it was cleared and they didn’t put a ‘reserved’ sign down, we waved a waiter down to ask if we can move to it and then order. They said we can’t move, it’s not possible. I said well we haven’t ordered anything yet. They said no.
We then walked out. Bizarre vibe/weird atmosphere. Wouldn’t recommend. Could be a tourist trap.
17/08/2024: Stay away from this place as is a Tourist's Trap. I felt like a pot of money to them, not a person. Food is just like any other pizzeria, prices are 5 times more. There are a lot of non-written rules, that you are only told after sitting down. You need to order enough for them to say it's enough, if you order food that doesn't meet how much they think you need to spend, they force you to order more dishes, even if you don't feel that hungry, as it's "their rule".

11/08/2024: Restaurant with good food, we spent a pleasant dinner with wine pairings from a local company. Good cuisine and good wines. Service needs improvement, good value for money.
20/07/2024: A real disappointment. Starters nothing special, main courses of swordfish and tuna, truly pitiful, full of onions and other things, to mask the flavour, fish not fresh. If you are a vegetarian... forget it, they have nothing for you. Avoid it!!!

the rest unsatisfactory to say the least.
Paying 20 euros for a "reinforced" starter with the quantity of not even a normal starter!!!
Plus terrible service, half the table served at 10pm and the other half at 11.30pm... inconceivable!
To our complaints... staff were not very attentive and at times rude.
18/08/2024: Place to stop and eat for lunch but also in the evening. Friendly owner and very beautiful nearby beach, in my opinion the best in Gallico

21/06/2024: Just a quick stop in the heat of the early afternoon. Drink, pizza and fries. Nice gentle service, attentive not pushy and unrushed. Toilets very clean. Served by 2 ladies who made us feel welcome. Thank you
16/06/2024: Awesome service and the food is amazing. Had a wonderful swordfish and Etna wines, and my husband got pasta carbonara. The owner/waiter is so nice and friendly. We would go back in a heartbeat. Not too expensive, but nice white tablecloths and nice family atmosphere. The wife Angela and kids were super sweet, too. The service was perfect and friendly and the owner sent us a limoncello shot to finish our evening. Secret: the lemon torte is stunningly good. I am missing it already.
Great for seafood and pasta. And the little church next door and fountain offers plenty of people watching and singing. Only one of the four fountains are working in the fountain... and the wait staff says to NOT drink the fountain water.
