La Contea In Modica

The food is good, but unfortunately the location suffers from its labyrinthine layout. To eat the pizza (which is excellent, by the way) you need to be incredibly patient, as it takes a long time, given the amount of work they have to do. The fact that the place was packed (and they also do a lot of takeout) confirmed to us that it was worth the wait. They also accommodated us by delivering the pasta dish with the pizzas (I assure you, this isn't always a given in very crowded places on a Saturday night). Overall, the feedback was positive. I recommend it.

Food was great. Had the mussels, pasta with sardines and fennel, seared tuna. Each was perfectly cooked and well plated. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Spoke perfect English. Prices were very reasonable. Would recommend

An essential stop for anyone looking for excellent pizza in the center of Modica, without sacrificing an exceptional view.

Overall, the place is good, but the pizza isn't the best. Personally, I don't think I'll return.

Pizzeria la Contea is the ideal place to enjoy the best pizzas in Modica's historic center. In addition to pizzas, they also offer excellent fish and meat dishes. Service is attentive, thanks to qualified and friendly staff, all in a clean and well-maintained environment.

I've been to Pizzeria Ristorante La Contea, a true institution in Modica, and the experience was decidedly positive. The pizza is good, and you can taste the quality of the ingredients used. The rest of the menu is also of a good standard, with well-prepared and carefully prepared dishes. The prices are average, but absolutely fair for what's offered. The service is good: courteous and helpful staff, attentive to customer needs and always ready to accommodate any request. The only downside is the lack of WiFi inside the restaurant; if you have a phone provider with poor coverage, you risk being completely cut off. However, the owners assured me that this is under construction, so it will probably be fixed soon. Overall, a place I definitely recommend 👍
