09/08/2026: A wonderful bar...
A fantastic range of local, regional and draft beers, with staff that are knowledgeable and passionate about celebrating Sicilian produce.
We called in most days for beer and food, enjoying the calm atmosphere, with gentle jazz playing in the background; each time welcomed.
We will miss the bar!
08/08/2026: Excellent, long-standing pub on the main strip in Taormina that is still run and staffed by the original family (shout out to Mikael - a Taormina legend). A great selection of wine and grappa, with solid light food options and fantastic service. Definitely stop in for an aperitivo when in Taormina!

01/07/2026: The counter room is dark and smells bad. The other half-open room, although pleasant, was very hot with two fans that are of little use when turned on.

29/07/2026: A traditional trattoria overlooking the fish market. We ate wonderfully: caponata, sardines alla beccafico, octopus salad, mussels with pepper, and a bottle of local wine.

12/08/2026: Donna Francesca is truly a housewife, the dinner was excellent! The couscous was truly plentiful and flavorful, the best I've had in years. The waiters were truly friendly and professional. I'll gladly return next year! I'm really intrigued by the squid ink couscous with sea urchins... Thanks for the welcome!!!
10/08/2026: Simply not tasty food, carbonara with a strong egg taste, sweet eggplant pasta, poor salad, not recommended!
The only thing that was tasty was burrata with tomatoes, a dish that is impossible to ruin

13/08/2026: The real star of this place is the very kind lady who welcomes you and entertains you the entire time you spend in this beautiful place. Leaving aside the food, which is truly excellent, there's so much history in this place and so much hard work and passion. We'll be back as soon as we're there again. Say hello to the puppies 🐶

05/05/2026: We were blown away! Delicious food, friendly service, and a fantastic atmosphere! We haven't eaten this well in Sicily for a long time! Highly recommended for anyone who isn't put off by the adventurous journey 😂 it's worth it!
03/05/2026: Beautiful place, the food is plentiful and excellent. The only drawback is the road to the estate. It can be reached by any car, but the road is well-trodden and dusty. Drive carefully.

10/08/2026: I highly recommend this restaurant, even to guests from outside the area. It's perfect for those who like to escape the hustle and bustle of the usual crowds. Excellent dinner. The tuna tartare was made with good-quality fish, as was the risotto. Excellent value, even for the wines. Not on this occasion, but I also remember a delicious club sandwich! Last but not least, we had great service.
06/08/2026: Really struggled for restaurants in the area, staying at the hotel and thought we'd give it a try, the best idea we had the food is amazing the menu is short and everyone we spoke to were more than happy with the food and staff were on hand giving it that unique experience. We did reserve our table going off previous reviews I think this is a good idea to be sat outside.

31/07/2026: We don't understand the overwhelming negative reviews from Poles. We ate at this restaurant three days in a row; the pizza was excellent, the pasta was excellent, and the drinks were fantastic. We felt very comfortable there, thanks to the fact that it's run entirely by a family – the atmosphere is unmistakable, and the waitresses greet people with a smile and kindness. We highly recommend it,

05/07/2026: The mozzarella with tomatoes was wonderfully fresh and delicious; you could even season it yourself with coarse salt, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil. The pizza was just as good. The dough was very fluffy and tender, not rubbery or burnt like you often find. The portion size is a bit misleading; for the price, we left this café completely stuffed. The tables are a little small, but this is a café/bar, not a restaurant. The restroom was clean. I think the menu is only in Italian, but the waiter speaks English. So, highly recommended for a quick bite while shopping or for lunch!

18/11/2025: Unfortunately, I live far from this shop, where I would be a loyal customer. They have everything I consider a treat and that gives me peace of mind. Luckily, online orders exist. I was really pleased with the service, very fast, and the package was well-packaged. Thank you.

11/07/2026: We really enjoyed our evening at La Capinera! We had the tasting menu with 8 courses and chose a wine package with 4 glasses. The food was over all very good, and the service was even better! We felt very well taken care of during the entirety of our dining experience.
We found it a little uncomfortable that there were no door locks in the bathroom.
10/07/2026: My family and I went for dinner at an interesting restaurant. Good service, great view of the bay. We ordered the tasting menu: two meat and two seafood dishes. Overall, it was tasty, but nothing special. I don't know how they got a Michelin star. We also ordered the wine pairing menu, which was a complete disappointment. Either the restaurant skimped on the wine, or the sommelier was lousy. Another downside is the proximity to the train line (literally right next to it) and the corresponding noise from passing trains, although fortunately there were only three during dinner. For dinner for four and three wine pairings, we paid almost 800 euros. Definitely not worth the money.
