19/08/2025: This place embodied what keeps Sicily from standing out above all others. A dinner for vacationers with a craving for meat. Five of us showed up and were seated at a table inside, which I was forced to appreciate, despite the heat and the mere presence of fans, since everywhere outside, people are still allowed to smoke rudely in front of those eating. People need to be legally obligated; respect and civic duty are nonexistent. Luckily, we were first to arrive, even though it was 8:00 PM. So, no delays with service. We skipped the first courses, ordering three appetizers to share and five second courses: fillets, tagliata, veal cheek, as well as a good 2017 Sicilian wine. All excellent. What's the flaw? The side dish for the two beef fillets, as per the menu, was "ash-fried potatoes"; the other three second courses included mashed potatoes. When the dishes arrived, they all contained mashed potatoes. Naturally, we prefer to eat hot, but as soon as one of the staff approaches, I ask why the side dish was changed from the menu, adding with a smile, "Maybe the chef didn't feel like making the potatoes à la citron." Unless I misunderstood, I was told the chef was on vacation and was handed the menu so I could verify what I was already sure of. Nothing more. I don't apologize for the forced change, but at least offer a half-word to justify it. Nothing at all. At the end of the dinner, I ask another woman in the dining room about it, who tells me they had a reception at lunch that messed everything up. End of excuse... But can you? If I order a pizza with chopped cherry tomatoes, can you just bring it to me with the sauce and not care? It's still tomato, right? What was the point of coming to the table before the dishes arrived and saying a few words about it? Who would have objected? Oh well, in Sicily, simmu cussi! I pay the bill, after pointing out the extra glass of wine I'd ordered before opting for the bottle, which is promptly deducted. I thank them for the excellent meat (not the side dish), say goodbye, and leave. Nothing is missing from achieving excellence. Except, perhaps, it doesn't matter. And as a native of the island, that's precisely what bothers me.

26/10/2025: My family and I went to eat at La Tana del Lupo in Agrigento. The service was excellent, the place was welcoming, child-friendly, and the atmosphere was calm. We waited exactly 5 minutes and they brought us super good pizzas. The dough was light, soft, and easy to digest. The quality/price ratio was excellent. Highly recommended.

19/02/2026: Every experience at Al Pesciolino d'Oro is a true gastronomic journey! The location overlooking the Mediterranean is a unique experience in itself, but it's the food that steals the show. The dishes are created with fresh, top-quality ingredients, focusing exclusively on local, zero-mile products. The owner's carefully curated wine cellar is breathtaking; the sommelier was fantastic in recommending the perfect wines to pair with our dishes. Not to mention the desserts, a true masterpiece, expertly homemade by the owner, Anna. The service is impeccable, with attentive and professional staff who make you feel right at home. The perfect place for a unique culinary experience.

18/02/2026: Excellence on the table!! The owners are extremely kind and welcoming. The staff is top-notch. The restaurant is very welcoming, with a stunning sea view. The quality of the meat is top-notch, and the fish (displayed on the boat) is even better. An experience to definitely repeat.

02/12/2025: On our way to Cefalù, we stumbled upon a little gem: a cozy restaurant overlooking the beach. We shared a meal as a family, enjoying a beautiful slice of swordfish and a glass of local wine. The service was quick, just the way I like it.

02/11/2025: We had the best night here. So lucky to get a table looking out to sea. The food is delicious and it was so lovely just to sit and eat taking in the sea vibes. Listening to the waves (it was stormy)🤣. We had a had a good laugh with the staff as my partner was trying to speak Italian and called the fish a peach 🍑 by mistake. LOL. Even though this restaurant is on the main tourist path it felt like a special place. Happy days

16/11/2025: The food was good, not great. Considering quality, the prices were high. BUT, let me tell you about the music. It was BAD! Some AI generated songs from a music service called StoryBeats. Awful! The kind of generic soft pop that I'm sure will play in hell. But the nature of the music wasn't the worst part. There were four songs that played in a non-stop loop! I heard Echoes in the Fireplace and When Spring Remembers You three times each! If you have any musical taste at all, and value your sanity, avoid la Risacca.

04/02/2026: I had the opportunity to visit the swimming pool in Cammarata today. Unfortunately, the sauna was closed. In general, the pool is in a deplorable state. It doesn't resemble the pictures on the website at all. Rain also leaks into the hall because the roof is faulty. Entry costs €7. The water, even in the showers, was only lukewarm. Many thanks to the staff. I think they're working with what they have. It's difficult...

19/10/2025: The place is cute and perhaps a little basic in its decor, but that's okay. The selection of arancini is varied and good quality, perfectly fried. Good price. In Marzamemi, personal taste, the best.

26/10/2025: It's located in the center of Palermo, yet in a quiet corner, where you can escape the hustle and bustle of crowded tourist spots. The piazza is very elegant. You can enjoy a good breakfast, the service is quick, and the staff is friendly. A place that's also popular with locals.

25/07/2025: Agriturismo in mezzo alla campagna fra ragusa e santa croce Camerina colpisce subito l’organizzazione e la disposizione, da un lato la struttura con il punto vendita e a seguire lo spazio per la degustazione, delle grandi sale che sfociano in un giardino esterno ben curato. Il personale estremamente gentile ti accompagna al tavolo. Prodotti di una bontà eccezionale, ricotta mozzarella burrata e formaggio sono veramente top non da meno il formaggio le salsicce la cotoletta e l’hamburger, provato anche lo stufato di bufalo ottimo. Chiuso con il classico cannolo buonissimo. Soddisfatto pienamente ad un prezzo ottimo. Ci tornerò
