I will definitely go back, we ate the dishes from the à la carte menu which were really very good and very well prepared. And I would also like to try their pizzas.

08/04/2025: Our accomodation was very close to this little family restaurant, so on our last evening in Milano we got here more or less by accident. And it turned out to be obe of the greatest restaurant experiences!!! The food was fresh, abundant, simple and very delicious. I was so happy with my eggplant millefoglie (a sort of melanzane alla parmigiana with a twist) and tuna steak. Our little one enjoyed the mouthwatering pasta and was busy colouring. The house dessert was also a delight. But what impressed us the most was the genuine kindness and warmth of the service. This is a family restaurant, in the best sense of the word. We felt treated like friends, had an amazing dinner and a great time. Thank you and keep up the great work you are doing! Complimenti!

11/04/2025: My first time was by chance... the classic situation.... you decide to go out for dinner on a Saturday night and you find yourself wandering among your restaurants in your area (Arona, Lake Maggiore) without finding a place, then you decide to change and go to the Varese area; passing through Somma I noticed this place, we entered and were welcomed by the owners in a splendid way, it was full, it was late, a situation that normally leads the innkeeper to be irritated and tired, therefore not inclined towards human relationships, but not them; they offered us, I repeat offered, some bubbles while waiting for some of their guests to leave the table, they were super hospitable, we ate very well, the staff is of a high standard, very professional and polite. I won't describe the place which, for my tastes, is very interesting, I won't tell you about the food because to say it's excellent is an understatement, but I recommend it for the climate, the welcome is out of the ordinary, since that Saturday evening this restaurant has become the point of reference for my family. so even if we are out of the area we often return because we feel like we are not at the restaurant, but having dinner with friends... What else can I say, my review is not the result of a visit, but of an analysis of the repeatability of the dinners, so thanks to all the staff for the hospitality, professionalism and friendliness you show us every time. Everything contributes to creating a magical atmosphere that invites you to relax and enjoy the experience. The menu is excellent with dishes made with very fresh and high-quality ingredients. Prezzi in linea con la qualità del cibo. Il costo del coperto, di €8 a persona, comprende diversi tipi di pane fatto in casa molto buoni, un entrė di benvenuto e al termine della cena anche biscotteria assortita di qualità

Pagamento con carta di credito MOLTO Imbarazzante: consiglio vivamente di togliere con o senza mancia. Pranzo 150 giorni all'anno fuori casa ma è la prima volta che mi sento così imbarazzato: è una mia scelta se lasciare la mancia. Bocciato, non penso di ritornare.

Precise and fast service, "cold" environments Very thin pizza (for those who like it) and a decent variety of choice, toppings a little sparse for my taste. Quality price ratio €€ all in all fair.

24/03/2025: E' un posto dopo ci si sta bene, con un servizio semplice in un posto semplice in riva al fiume Po, ma la qualità dei prodotti è buona e i piatti ben curati. Il locale potrebbe essere collocato anche in altre epoche passate, dove la formalità non era sempre richiesta ma l'educazione e le buone maniere sì. Adesso ci sono una "squadra" di ragazze che gestiscono la sala con professionalità, simpatia e maestria (in tempi passati non sempre è stato così e l'avevo evidenziato in una recenzione di alcuni anni fa!). Il titolare non è sempre presente ma nessuno - in cucina e in sala - si permette di abbassare il livello! I piatti sono quelli della tradizione padana, elencati in una chiara lavagna che viene portata direttamente al tavolo, ma anche alcune contaminazioni ben gradite, come il purè di fave con puntarelle e acciughe oppure il fran di amaranto. Ottime le polentine alla griglia o i tortelli (erbetta o zucca), morbidissimo il galletto al forno o il guancialino di maiale in umido o la coscia d'oca o le succulente costine di maiale a cartuccera. I salumi non mancano così come una buona scelta di verdure e dolci. Ci si va anche a tarda serata, anche solo per bere un buon calice di vino. O per fumare e bere una birra davanti al bracere sempre acceso la sera davanti all'ingresso. Prezzi giusti.
