My partner and I decided to try Osteria del Cavolo attracted by the positive reviews. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is typically tavern-like but the prices on the menu surprised us as they were high and not exactly tavern-like, especially for some courses. We started with an asparagus and thyme flan and some stuffed and fried courgette flowers, but we found the price of €16.50 for three courgette flowers excessive. Subsequently we tasted bigoli with white ragù and summer truffle sauce and Ligurian trofie in cherry tomato sauce, swordfish and scampi, both delicious dishes, especially the bigoli thanks to the strong flavor of the truffle. The service was fast, perhaps too fast, since we couldn't fully enjoy the dishes without the waiters quickly taking them away, even the bread. Despite the high prices and somewhat rushed service, the overall experience was positive, although not entirely in line with the expectations of a traditional tavern.

We had lunch at this place on Monday. The place is very beautiful and every detail is an added value in telling its story. The offer during the week is various fixed menus. We opted for a first menu for 10 euros with farfalle with vegetables and a second menu for 12 consisting of a really good beef stew and polenta. To drink water. We added a dessert, they have several on the menu, all well explained verbally by the always courteous staff. We chose a truly stratospheric three chocolate mousse, the right combination of softness and crunchiness given by the crumble and meringues. Positive note: you don't pay the cover charge and the tablecloths matching the room are true, except for the napkin. Negative note: the cost of the dessert, 8 euros. It would be better to bring the dessert menu to the table with the price indicated, because there is a strong imbalance between the price of the fixed menu of 10/12 euros versus the 8 euros of the dessert.

Eravamo in tanti ma la qualità non è mai mancata . Saluti nostrani veramente buoni e una polenta con la luganeghetta veramente ottimi . Focaccia top . Risotto alla monzese e una tagliata da urlo . E una torta al cioccolato finita anche da mio marito . Ottimo !!! E arredato con gusto !

Locale intimo ed accogliente . Ho provato la polentina e dei pizzoccheri davvero squisiti . Servizio attento e cortese . Il dolce con ricotta di pecora sicuramente buono ma il sottofondo salato a mio avviso legava poco con l’arancia amara , ma chiaramente è una questione di gusto personale . Rapporto qualità prezzo che colloca la trattoria in fascia medio alta. Vale la pena provarlo.
