Impeccable service (Asia served us, a cheerful, precise, and very nice girl!) and tonight we tried their "outside Milan" saffron risotto with French-style ossobuco!!! Fun!! 11/11/2025: We chose Il Grotto Bagat for our wedding lunch and couldn't have asked for anything better. The food was excellent, with generous portions and attention to every detail. The service was impeccable: the staff were always present, attentive, and professional, without ever being intrusive. The elegant atmosphere made the day even more special. They accommodated our every request, from the menu to the room decor, from the cake to the wines, demonstrating great availability and extraordinary care. Everything was simply perfect. We recommend Il Grotto Bagat to anyone looking for a unique experience, characterized by quality, attention, and authentic hospitality.

21/10/2025: Lunch break, I was in a hurry with a colleague and we had a great time. The staff were very friendly and the place was clean and the food was good. Very fast service.

29/10/2025: I booked based on the information on the website. I was leaving Milan for Lomellina—the home of rice—to eat rice, and I found myself in a restaurant that didn't even have one (yes, one) risotto on the menu. When I asked for information, a young woman, aggressively, told me that the menu changes depending on supplies. I had to laugh when I discovered that in the middle of the rice fields, they don't provide rice, but their pantry was full of octopus (!) and pecorino romano for cacio e pepe (!).

08/09/2025: Osteria Barbavara was a pleasant surprise. We were lucky enough to have lunch there on a Saturday in early September, having stumbled upon it by chance because it was nearby. The food was excellent, with authentic ingredients and homemade pasta. Definitely recommended if you're in the area.

14/08/2025: Reliable, good Italian food. Some servers are wonderful and attentive. Some are VERY BUSY and difficult to pin down. Good steak. Great for large groups and small. Back garden seating area as well as indoor at front.

18/09/2025: We came for lunch today. We ordered an extremely salty carbonara that we couldn't finish, and a cannelloni with cod and potatoes that was very bland and tough. We waited 40 minutes, which is understandable for a restaurant. The location was very nice, and the staff, including one waitress in particular, was very nice and helpful. When asked if we liked the food, we were honest and said it wasn't exactly exceptional, and they replied that it was impossible for one dish to be bland and tough and the other excessively salty. The overall experience wasn't great. It's certainly a place with a top-notch location and cleanliness, but the food definitely needs a facelift, which is the most important thing in a restaurant. So I don't think I'd return.

16/09/2025: A historic osteria on the Naviglio, with a very characteristic atmosphere, especially the outdoor area along the canal. Delicious dishes, especially the mixed grill served over charcoal.

08/09/2025: A typically traditional restaurant with much larger spaces than it might seem. The interior is large, spacious, welcoming, and bright, but the real gem is the outdoor veranda on the canal bank. Shade is provided by a pergola with lush vegetation, and the setting is decidedly quaint. The service is attentive and courteous. The food is good, though not excellent, but still makes for a pleasant experience. The bill is a bit more expensive than you'd expect, but in line with the times. As for the waiter, I'd say: quaint.

21/10/2025: Excellent dinner, original and beautifully presented dishes, quality ingredients. I had a zucchini tart in fondue sauce and then a superb seafood crudités platter. My husband had a meat-only dinner, first a carpaccio with burrata and then a huge, tasty tartare. Service was friendly but a bit slow, but we weren't bothered by it because we weren't in a rush. The price was very fair, and we'll be back soon, especially since the menu is truly extensive and tempting.

20/09/2025: Excellent first and second courses, fabulous and well-topped pizza. The atmosphere is clean and discreet, ideal for a relaxing moment.

03/11/2025: I had lunch with my wife, a more than positive experience, good food served by Leo with great kindness and last but not least in one of the most beautiful squares in Italy.

06/11/2025: Besides the lovely location and the kindness of the hostess, we ate truly well! Excellent panzanella, delicious Livorno-style red mullet, a delightfully warm apple pie, and a fantastic nocino liqueur! We'll be back often.

19/09/2025: Dinner for two with a shared appetizer, a first course, a second course, two glasses of wine, and a coffee for €120. Good, but decidedly and unjustifiably expensive. Sorry, but I won't be back.
