09/11/2025: I went to La Sosta last night with some friends, a place we know well and which has always given us so many emotions, something that, alas, didn't happen last night. Last night was a special evening for this historic restaurant, which after many years no longer sees Mr. Aldo welcoming customers; however, outside the door we found the new manager, not welcoming us, but smoking. Once inside, after a decidedly perfunctory greeting devoid of any formality or introduction, he hastily put out his cigarette and asked us the name we had left for the reservation. Then he began repeatedly scanning the table layout without finding us, at which point Giampy finally appeared and escorted us to our table. But let's get to the menu. Forget the abundance of food from before, a minimal offering, not to mention more. Appetizers, first courses, second courses, and desserts all condensed into two measly pages. The amuse-bouche (for those unfamiliar with it, it's the free appetizer offered by the chef at the beginning of the meal) was cut from the rest of the menu, as were the small pastries accompanying dessert. Let's get to the dishes: The bread - definitely too dry The veal with tuna sauce - good, well presented, and well revisited The cotechino - always one of the restaurant's signature dishes (last night it was off the menu) had nothing to do with the cotechino we usually eat; crudely made, accompanied by purées and pickled radicchio (which had nothing to do with this traditional dish). The rose cake with zabaglione - small but good, even if the zabaglione wasn't there I'll end by telling this anecdote because it's incredible. At the register, we asked the new manager to split the bill between three so that each couple could pay their share; The absurd thing was that we had to do the division for him because even though he had his calculator with him, he couldn't tell us how much each couple should pay. We had to repeat the amount to enter on the POS for the second couple because he couldn't remember, and in this circumstance he told us (yes, but don't be a professor, eh?). Finally, last but not least, the couple who paid in cash, since they didn't have change, instead of giving them two euros off, he charged them three more. I forgot, he didn't even ask us if we'd like a liqueur, and when he told us "everything went well," he didn't even listen to our answer as if he wasn't interested. If this is the premise, I can only express my nostalgia for the old management.

16/10/2025: We've been coming to Milan every year since 2019, and we never miss a visit to Il Tavolino. Always spectacular! I love it so much that I celebrated my birthday here with my family this summer. Thank you, Rafa, for everything. You're a great professional!!! A big hug from Mallorca

14/10/2025: The restaurant is next to the hotel. I ate there twice. The food was so delicious. I will come again when I come to Milan.

29/10/2025: I booked based on the information on the website. I was leaving Milan for Lomellina—the home of rice—to eat rice, and I found myself in a restaurant that didn't even have one (yes, one) risotto on the menu. When I asked for information, a young woman, aggressively, told me that the menu changes depending on supplies. I had to laugh when I discovered that in the middle of the rice fields, they don't provide rice, but their pantry was full of octopus (!) and pecorino romano for cacio e pepe (!).

08/09/2025: Osteria Barbavara was a pleasant surprise. We were lucky enough to have lunch there on a Saturday in early September, having stumbled upon it by chance because it was nearby. The food was excellent, with authentic ingredients and homemade pasta. Definitely recommended if you're in the area.

26/11/2025: It was alright, but the wait was way too long, and we even found a hair in our food. They apparently waived the order, but we still had to wait a long time for it. However, it was definitely the kitchen's fault, not the waiters'; the service was very attentive.

23/11/2025: We were disappointed by the table which was covered in fingerprints, as for the dishes, nice presentation, good and tasty but not very generous and above all expensive.

20/10/2025: I was staying nearby and made a reservation to eat here and pleased I did. A small traditional place that offers really quality homestyle cooking. I had spicy beans starter followed by sea bass whilst my colleague had pasta. He said that was perfectly cooked. We don't usually go for dessert but were tempted by the cakes on display. The apple pie was also moist and good.

15/09/2025: High quality home cooking; excellent wine to accompany, a very good evening

16/09/2025: A historic osteria on the Naviglio, with a very characteristic atmosphere, especially the outdoor area along the canal. Delicious dishes, especially the mixed grill served over charcoal.

08/09/2025: A typically traditional restaurant with much larger spaces than it might seem. The interior is large, spacious, welcoming, and bright, but the real gem is the outdoor veranda on the canal bank. Shade is provided by a pergola with lush vegetation, and the setting is decidedly quaint. The service is attentive and courteous. The food is good, though not excellent, but still makes for a pleasant experience. The bill is a bit more expensive than you'd expect, but in line with the times. As for the waiter, I'd say: quaint.

06/11/2025: Besides the lovely location and the kindness of the hostess, we ate truly well! Excellent panzanella, delicious Livorno-style red mullet, a delightfully warm apple pie, and a fantastic nocino liqueur! We'll be back often.

19/09/2025: Dinner for two with a shared appetizer, a first course, a second course, two glasses of wine, and a coffee for €120. Good, but decidedly and unjustifiably expensive. Sorry, but I won't be back.

08/11/2025: Nice location, friendly and attentive staff. Food and dishes are average. Prices are in line with Milan.

29/11/2025: I've been to this shop many times and have never been disappointed. You can eat in, and it's my favorite place in the area for vegan options, which are hard to find elsewhere. There's also a great variety of products, and I'm completely satisfied. If I could improve one thing, it would be the vegan desserts, which are a bit too sugary; otherwise, I'm always very happy with this place.

11/11/2025: A good supermarket for organic food lovers. You'll find everything from delicatessen to baked goods and even fresh produce. There's a well-stocked area dedicated to beauty products and herbal teas.

08/11/2025: If the people working in a public establishment are inattentive, rude, and not very good at selling, you definitely won't come back! There was no one there, but the listless and annoyed attitude made me want to leave! What a shame.

15/11/2025: Good morning. We visited this pizzeria in early November. The pizza dough is unique in flavor and leavening. The ingredients are top-quality. Even the homemade spelt tagliatelle are superb!! I think it's the best in the area. The beers and desserts are exceptional!!! Congratulations, keep it up! Paola

25/10/2025: Beautiful atmosphere, good food with generous portions. The only downside...very downside is the service, to say the least. The waiter was indifferent and bordered on rude. Not to mention the way he served the food. Maybe he should be sent back to school to learn the basics of restaurant management.
