10/01/2026: We went to this restaurant for the first time this evening. An experience to forget in every way: from appetizers to main courses to dessert. The menu doesn't reflect the dishes served, as some ingredients are missing. The desserts were terrible: they took a long time to arrive, and only then did we understand why: they were frozen. The chocolate cake, however, was served burnt. Also, pay attention to your receipt: we encountered several issues, with some dishes being priced higher than what was listed on the menu. We absolutely do not recommend it.

10/01/2026: We just had lunch at this wonderful restaurant and will definitely be back because the food was excellent, the staff was kind and helpful, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, and it was truly a wonderful experience overall!

I especially want to compliment the staff: friendly, professional, fast, and attentive. The waiters were efficient and top-notch. Highly recommended, especially for those staying at the hotel.

13/02/2026: For goodness sake, a fixed-price menu for €12. I'm not expecting Cracco, but at least a minimum... Friendly and fast staff. Decent vegetable buffet at the entrance. I ordered risotto and fried calamari. The risotto didn't taste like saffron risotto. And it was also tough. But okay, they don't cook it specifically for me, so it was probably precooked. But the calamari are embarrassing. I won't describe them out of politeness, but I'll attach a photo. You can definitely find better around.

03/10/2025: Positive: The mini golf course is also okay, and for €5 per adult and €4 for children, it's okay. But that's about all the great things Lido Menaggio has to offer. Contrary: I can say without exaggeration that the bathing area is an absolute disgrace compared to the entrance prices, bordering on a rip-off. A family of four pays €20 to enter. However, after that, you're only allowed to lie on the lawn. A sun lounger costs an additional €4, and a parasol another €4. You quickly notice that the entire complex is unkempt, and in some places even looks neglected. The toilets aren't cleaned (literally covered in trash), there's no toilet paper, the sand soccer field is a disgrace, with broken glass on the floor and staff walking carelessly past it, and cigarette butts on the lawn. After a power outage lasting almost two hours, the thawed ice cream is resold. Truly disgusting!!! We declined politely. The other food options are no better. A regular burger costs €6, a sausage in a bun with mustard is sold as a hot dog and costs €5, and a regular-sized portion of fries also costs €5. The prices are outrageous considering what's on offer. The Menaggio Lido seems to want to be a hip place. But it can't. It seems forced and incompetent. The list of flaws could go on endlessly. In Germany, a lido like this would have to close after one season. I can think of one good thing, though... The water playground in the lake is great; all the kids who can swim and the adults have fun here, and that was ultimately the only reason we went there three times. Otherwise, you can safely avoid this place. But form your own opinion. Have fun!

13/04/2026: A perfect stopover near Milan – warmth you can feel! After a very long drive from Germany, we just wanted to rest for a few hours before continuing our journey. Since booking online at short notice was difficult, I called the hotel directly. The owner himself – a very friendly and accommodating young man – took care of everything for us immediately. Our arrival at La Perla Rooms was absolutely seamless, efficient, and quick. The welcome with a complimentary espresso was particularly warm – just what we needed after the long drive! The entire team was so lovely that we also ate at the hotel restaurant that evening. A great decision: the food was amazing! Everything was fresh, quick, and prepared with great care (see photos). If I could give 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat. The entire staff always had a smile on their face. The location in Saronno is also ideal for travelers heading towards Milan. Keep up the great work, we'll definitely be back!

08/04/2026: I highly recommend the place. I hosted my parents there, and the rooms were very nice and new. In the evening, we had dinner in the restaurant, and the pizza was delicious and reasonably priced for the area. Plus, if you stay there, you get a 10% discount at the restaurant, which is definitely a treat.

28/03/2026: Even late at night, the managers and staff are helpful and friendly. Good pizza made with carefully selected ingredients. The platter is a specialty, a signature dish with a wide selection of options. Clean and friendly, with ample parking and adjacent parking.

01/03/2026: We went to this pizzeria with friends and a small child. Excellent cleanliness and spacious table, a feature that is difficult to find nowadays. We ate well, the seafood pizza was delicious and I recommend the coffee sorbet. The timing was right, no rush, no annoying double shifts. A pleasant evening. We will be back.

07/04/2026: My friend ordered a pizza which was okay, nothing special but still decent. I chose a seafood pizza. The mussels were actually very good, but unfortunately the rest of the seafood — like the baby octopus and shrimp — had a very strong vinegar taste. Because of that, I couldn’t really enjoy the dish, and it made me feel like the seafood might have been from a can rather than fresh. Also, the crust was quite thick with very large edges, which didn’t really match my preference.

29/03/2026: Be wary of any negative comments you find! Just because a place is packed and there's no silence, or because a dog isn't allowed in, reviews can't and shouldn't diminish the quality and service! In any case, we came to this trattoria for dinner, where we found a rustic and very welcoming atmosphere, super friendly staff, and excellent food. For a lakefront location, the prices are very fair compared to many other places nearby that offer more or less the same menu.

29/03/2026: A sophisticated and refined location. The restaurant isn't very large, and the owners deserve a lot of praise for prioritizing guest privacy over seating capacity. Regarding the food, I expected much more, especially from the pomp and circumstance of the menu and the prices. Nothing exceptional, and, indeed, absolutely inadequate. I'll digress here, because your guests may not be able to cook a simple risotto, but they've probably tried a good number of restaurants, starred or otherwise, in Lombardy; therefore, a criticism or observation shouldn't be undermined with a quip like that. Thankfully, I need glasses, but I can hear perfectly well. The service isn't up to par; for what you pay, the wait staff should be pouring the wine into your glass, not me. To return to the point I made earlier, I do this at home, in a restaurant where you pay for service. A negative experience, partly due to the waiter's unpleasant, taunting remarks, which were nevertheless audible, and partly due to the food we tasted, which certainly didn't live up to the price and advertising.
