04/01/2026: A truly remarkable restaurant. Located directly on the lake, it offers a stunning view. The menu isn't terribly extensive, which, in my opinion, is a sign of the attention paid to the food served. We enjoyed excellent appetizers (the fish appetizer was interesting, and the prawns over polenta were delicious) and equally good first courses (paccheri with perch and the classic casonsei pasta). I also think the small bottles offered are a smart choice (there's a good selection), for those who don't want to overdo it with wine. The only minor flaw is that the appetizers weren't served at the same time, but rather with a reasonable amount of time between them, but there were quite a few customers, which is entirely excusable. Prices are in line with the food served. Of course, we can't help but mention the setting: Lovere is truly a stunning place. It's worth walking along the lakeside and visiting the inland part of town. Very chic!!!

31/12/2025: We stopped in Lovere for lunch at this restaurant. The place is well-maintained and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We ordered three pizzas, which were truly delicious, and the desserts were delicious! The view of the lake is the icing on the cake! Definitely recommended.

25/01/2026: Very disappointing experience at Ristorante Pizzeria Foglia d'Oro. The service was poor: the staff were unfriendly, slow, and repeatedly ignored us. We waited almost 1.5 hours for the food, with no explanation or apology. Even after finishing the meal, it took an unreasonably long time just to get the bill. The food itself was decent, but good food cannot make up for such inattentive and indifferent service. Guests clearly do not seem to be a priority here. I would not recommend this place and would not return.

04/01/2026: Going to Molo is a reason to celebrate, to have a drink and even eat something from the menu. Perhaps it's the view, perhaps it's the calm and serene atmosphere, accompanied by the excellent air, but everything seems to encourage you to stay a while. The hours fly by, sitting and enjoying the sun or the view, and the pleasure of a snack accompanies the rest of this stroll. The service is excellent, friendly, and fast.

02/01/2026: Ate dinner here with my wife while staying in Varenna/Perledo. Everything we ordered was amazing. The homemade lasagna was excellent! Very nice atmosphere and it’s a little tucked away from the main/busier area. There are actually two different levels of dining and we were lucky that they were able to accommodate us. It was really hard not coming back to this place but we opted to try on subsequent days to explore different restaurants. For my wife, this was her favorite place. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!

27/10/2025: Disappointed by this restaurant. I chose it based on the good reviews, but compared to everything I've tried in Varenna, I felt like I was in a tourist trap. The cheese tasting (€18) was really not up to scratch: limited portions, little honey or jam, and stale bread to accompany it all. The wine was decent, and fortunately, the friendly service helped raise the bill a bit.

27/01/2026: I'll start with the food because it's really good, the portions are ample, and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant itself isn't bad, but I should add that it was expanded at a cost, but that's not a problem. Service, too, varies between quick and slow. We were shown to our table and given menus within a few minutes (when walking with a customer, the waiter might already be taking the menu, especially since when a customer enters from the street, the waiter waits with a stack of menu cards). The food is served faster. The biggest plus is the Vulcano pizza.

10/01/2026: I no issues with the rooms. They were cozy and very homelike. Bathroom was a standard European bathroom with a design that was more modernized. The temperature gauge for some reason doesn’t go below 21 degrees Celsius so sometimes we would have to crack open a window. The breakfast here was standard and not over the top and was just enough. Other than that the overall stay was good, although there weren’t anything standing out.

31/12/2025: I'm listing only incontrovertible FACTS, then judge for yourself: a glass of Gutturnio, I repeat GUTTURNIO, costs 12 euros. The owner was wearing a Panerai watch. The waitress is beautiful, in fact, the most beautiful woman in Cremona. I'm not making judgments about the food. I'm attaching the receipt as irrefutable proof. If the owner responds in kind, I ask him to cite only proven FACTS and not facile rhetoric. Keep in mind that I cannot reply. 12/12/2025: Every thing was great the food the aervice but the only thing that really upsets me that we were two and ordered food to share and I was shocked that the bill was doubled it would have been cheaper not to ask them to share the dishes very very strange rules what u pay is totally not what u get finally I don’t recommend as they were not honest

04/11/2025: This review covers the hotel and restaurant. As for the hotel, everything was great. They were very accommodating with many of our special requests. The view and staff are fantastic. I can only say I recommend it. As for the restaurants, we tried many of the options there and everything was delicious, so I can recommend it as well.

20/10/2025: A terrible experience. I'm reluctant to leave a review like that, but I don't like being made fun of. More than an hour's wait for a pizza in a room with less than 10 people. After a couple of requests, a further wait, and an unexpected mockery from a waitress who was probably new to the experience, a prepackaged and raw pizza arrived. We got up and left, paying only for drinks and a cover charge. (And it really takes a lot for me to do something like that.) Maybe this will help the restaurant manager understand that they can definitely do better. Luckily, a little further on, we found a decent restaurant.

08/12/2025: Mediocre experience. Every year, at different times of the year or on different occasions, I spend a weekend in Sirmione and try two or three different restaurants. It's the first time I've been dissatisfied! Not all the waiters treated us the same way (and smiled), and as a result, not all of them made us feel comfortable. There was a misunderstanding regarding pasta for four little girls... Of course, it can happen. But the difference is made by those who are honest from the start and who don't want to rip off tourists. Two stars for the food. If I were to return, I wouldn't choose it. And if I were to recommend it, unfortunately, I wouldn't. It's true that, being a tourist destination, they might not care about customer service because they work regardless... but, I mean, it's still a matter of taking advantage of the profits and advertising. Ten of us (including four little girls) still left ours.

15/01/2026: Very nice place, was the perfect stop after a walk down the canal. We were lucky to get a table as the place got packed pretty quickly afterwards. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, can get a bit noisy but this is the charm of it. The waiter was nice, the pizza was good and the Tiramisu we had for desert topped it nicely along with a meloncello. All in all a very nice place for a pizza, a good drink and a Serie A match 🤌🏻
