23/12/2025: I'd like to but I can't, I could but I don't want to? Crazy prices for average-to-low quality dishes and extremely slow and informal service. Truffle-scented tagliolini cost €30, not even in high-end restaurants, and if I say scent, it's because it was the only tangible thing. €200 for four with two dishes each? It's still a "business lunch" restaurant. Let's scale back a bit. Is a customer even free to write a review without having to shoulder the burden of "four families who make a living from this job"? I don't think being presumptuous and not admitting the mistakes the customer points out is the right choice. A bottle of wine brought to the table ALREADY OPENED, without even letting me taste it. Thrown on the table in a plastic tray in a restaurant that offers me a first course for €30? No, that's not normal at all, I've never seen anything like that, not even in a pizzeria. Spaghetti with seafood had a handful of capers and a handful of olives inside, which completely covered the flavor, and perhaps there's a reason for that. The appetizers (3, not 4), by the way, were ALL THE SAME. They arrived cold despite the 30-minute wait that started AFTER ORDERING, of course, I emphasize this because I felt like I was speaking different languages ​​at this point. I'll conclude by saying that the dishes weren't returned because they were edible, but as with everything, everything has to be commensurate with the price, and then the castle collapses.

09/02/2026: We happened to pass by (we are from Bergamo) for lunch and we stopped and we have to say that everything was excellent... tasty and really good dishes... two hot seafood starters and two fish main courses (the octopus is highly recommended)... coffee and rum with chocolate top... highly recommended... the waiter was very kind.

17/01/2026: The restaurant presents itself beautifully: the location is meticulously maintained, and the menu reflects a meticulous selection of ingredients and products. Even the prices suggest a superior experience. Unfortunately, however, the customer service didn't live up to the expectations. I noticed a lack of attention to detail I wouldn't expect from a restaurant aiming so high. It's a real shame, because the potential is enormous, but the service makes all the difference.

21/01/2026: We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Belvedere in Argegno. The room was spacious, spotless, and ready upon our arrival, which made check-in seamless. The hotel team was very helpful and even coordinated our transfer from Milan, which made getting there stress-free. The views from both the room and the hotel were absolutely spectacular. Argegno is a smaller town, but being right on the waterfront and next to the dock made it incredibly convenient for exploring Lake Como. Such a beautiful hotel — I would highly recommend staying here!

04/01/2026: A truly remarkable restaurant. Located directly on the lake, it offers a stunning view. The menu isn't terribly extensive, which, in my opinion, is a sign of the attention paid to the food served. We enjoyed excellent appetizers (the fish appetizer was interesting, and the prawns over polenta were delicious) and equally good first courses (paccheri with perch and the classic casonsei pasta). I also think the small bottles offered are a smart choice (there's a good selection), for those who don't want to overdo it with wine. The only minor flaw is that the appetizers weren't served at the same time, but rather with a reasonable amount of time between them, but there were quite a few customers, which is entirely excusable. Prices are in line with the food served. Of course, we can't help but mention the setting: Lovere is truly a stunning place. It's worth walking along the lakeside and visiting the inland part of town. Very chic!!!

31/12/2025: We stopped in Lovere for lunch at this restaurant. The place is well-maintained and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We ordered three pizzas, which were truly delicious, and the desserts were delicious! The view of the lake is the icing on the cake! Definitely recommended.

08/12/2025: Mediocre experience. Every year, at different times of the year or on different occasions, I spend a weekend in Sirmione and try two or three different restaurants. It's the first time I've been dissatisfied! Not all the waiters treated us the same way (and smiled), and as a result, not all of them made us feel comfortable. There was a misunderstanding regarding pasta for four little girls... Of course, it can happen. But the difference is made by those who are honest from the start and who don't want to rip off tourists. Two stars for the food. If I were to return, I wouldn't choose it. And if I were to recommend it, unfortunately, I wouldn't. It's true that, being a tourist destination, they might not care about customer service because they work regardless... but, I mean, it's still a matter of taking advantage of the profits and advertising. Ten of us (including four little girls) still left ours.

01/11/2025: Having reached Salò by bicycle, we stopped at this lovely restaurant. The view of the lake is excellent and relaxing. We only tried the first courses, such as the spaghetti with clams, which were excellent. As for the rest, I saw well-presented fish dishes at the adjacent tables, and I presume they were also good. The prices are a little high, but average for the area.

04/01/2026: A totally disappointing experience. Poor service and mediocre food. The bresaola rice timbale had never tasted bresaola before, and the soused whitefish arrived cold and was served in a sloppy manner. The price was also completely off-putting: a cover charge was added to the fixed-price menus and to a child under three who didn't eat at the restaurant. Avoid this place.

25/12/2025: I didn't know this restaurant and discovered it by chance, and it was a very pleasant surprise. Exquisite Mediterranean dishes, impeccably prepared by the chef. The fish is truly excellent! Congratulations, keep up the good work! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

09/12/2025: A very elegant location. We've been to this beautiful pizzeria several times. The pizzas are true masterpieces, meticulously crafted, from preparation to perfection. The various doughs are excellent, light, especially when combined with the diverse and excellent ingredients—a perfect combination. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, ready to accommodate any customer needs. A great place to eat without leaving the center of Mantua. Highly recommended.

I reported this inconvenience to the owner and he and the cashier looked at me as if I had spoken of a flying donkey... 🤷. 25/01/2026: Very disappointing experience at Ristorante Pizzeria Foglia d'Oro. The service was poor: the staff were unfriendly, slow, and repeatedly ignored us. We waited almost 1.5 hours for the food, with no explanation or apology. Even after finishing the meal, it took an unreasonably long time just to get the bill. The food itself was decent, but good food cannot make up for such inattentive and indifferent service. Guests clearly do not seem to be a priority here. I would not recommend this place and would not return.
