13/04/2026: A perfect stopover near Milan – warmth you can feel! After a very long drive from Germany, we just wanted to rest for a few hours before continuing our journey. Since booking online at short notice was difficult, I called the hotel directly. The owner himself – a very friendly and accommodating young man – took care of everything for us immediately. Our arrival at La Perla Rooms was absolutely seamless, efficient, and quick. The welcome with a complimentary espresso was particularly warm – just what we needed after the long drive! The entire team was so lovely that we also ate at the hotel restaurant that evening. A great decision: the food was amazing! Everything was fresh, quick, and prepared with great care (see photos). If I could give 10 stars, I would in a heartbeat. The entire staff always had a smile on their face. The location in Saronno is also ideal for travelers heading towards Milan. Keep up the great work, we'll definitely be back!

08/04/2026: I highly recommend the place. I hosted my parents there, and the rooms were very nice and new. In the evening, we had dinner in the restaurant, and the pizza was delicious and reasonably priced for the area. Plus, if you stay there, you get a 10% discount at the restaurant, which is definitely a treat.

21/09/2025: Located a little ways down a back street, you can enjoy a quiet meal. They serve rare ingredients and everything was delicious.

20/09/2025: A somewhat unusual experience, food-wise. Since we're open to trying new things, we sampled quite a few dishes. Unfortunately, the standard fare—duck breast and lamb chops—was a bit overcooked and rather uninspiring. Perhaps our expectations were simply too high?

07/06/2026: The hotel was beautiful, centrally located, and a truly peaceful place to come back to and enjoy the lake away from the more crowded tourist parts of Varenna. The biggest highlights were the unbeatable view, the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had (with the aforementioned view), and dinner at the attached Visteria (best meal I’ve ever had). The staff who work at the restaurants and by the pool are incredible - so friendly and helpful. The reception staff were a little less warm and could have been more helpful with shuttle transit upon arrival to Varenna and with securing dinner reservations. Would absolutely recommend staying here.

04/06/2026: The hotel and breakfast are average, but the price is far higher than what they actually offer. The worst part is that they charged me a €100 deposit which has still not been refunded. They ignore emails, promise to reply and then never do, and nobody provides a solution. To this day, I have not recovered my money. The customer service is disgraceful and the way this has been handled is completely unacceptable. I will not return and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

23/05/2026: Excellent value for money. Beautiful location in Collio, facing Lake Como. The ferry to Bellagio departs just across the street (note that on windy days, the ferry frequency is lower than from other locations). The hotel has an excellent restaurant, and many other places to eat are within walking distance. The train station is a 5-minute walk. They have parking 200 meters away. The breakfast is very good, and the service is excellent as well. It's a good option for staying on Lake Como that's not too expensive, quieter, and offers quality service.

23/05/2026: Hotel Risi, a gem right on Lake Como Large and comfortable room, delicious breakfast with everything from sweet to savory, and freshly made cappuccinos, not coffee from machines. The staff is very kind and welcoming. The location is wonderful, right in front of the ferry dock and close to the pedestrian area with many restaurants and a lovely lakeside promenade. A very pleasant experience and highly recommended.

05/07/2026: Without a doubt, our favorite restaurant from our entire trip to Italy. The pasta was outstanding, easily some of the best we’ve ever had. You can really tell how much care goes into every dish, and we loved learning that the pasta is handmade using the chef Oscar’s family recipes. The atmosphere felt warm and authentic, and the service was excellent from start to finish. If you’re looking for a true Italian dining experience in Milan, this place is absolutely worth visiting. We’d definitely come back.

04/07/2026: I'm not offering less because I can't! It's a rip-off and they're super heavy, there's hardly any space between some of the tables, it's still a rip-off!

06/08/2026: We had lunch there as a family. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. I would say it was inexpensive.

09/04/2026: Really nice place, with sparse but essential service. Excellent food, generous and well-seasoned first courses. The Basque cheesecake is superb. My only advice: to avoid any issues with the restaurant next door (Casa Lucia), I advise the staff to check with you regarding your reservation. Highly recommended!

08/04/2026: Starting with a delicious Franciacorte, we had a wonderful evening with excellent food and fine wines. Although we hadn't requested it, the shared courses were automatically served on two plates. Fantastic!

03/05/2026: I'll start by saying that everything was fine. We were just a little unlucky with the room for a few things, but that didn't ruin our holiday. The beds and bathroom fixtures were clean, so it was fine. The owners were all very kind, as were the various waiters and staff. It was a truly pleasant experience. The place is surrounded by greenery, not exactly informal, but away from the noise and chaos of cars and traffic in general. The sound of the wind and the birds and the tranquility of the place are the main features. I'd like to point out something else and point out that the food is truly amazing. They use their own products and local products from breakfast to dinner. I highly recommend even just going there to eat.

20/04/2026: First off: I can't comment on the rooms, as we ate at the adjacent agriturismo. We passed by Agriturismo Il Bagnolo during a hike. It's beautifully situated with a fantastic view of the lake. The grounds are spacious and also suitable for children. The tables were beautifully set, and the service was excellent. The food was really good. We had lasagna, pasta with porcini mushrooms, and strips of beef. We felt very comfortable there, and the owners even took the time to chat with us.

08/05/2026: Very good à la carte cuisine, including pizza. The prices are very reasonable, and the setting is breathtaking thanks to its magnificent terrace. I highly recommend booking a table on the terrace, which overlooks the lake. During dinner, you can watch the sunset, but even when the sun goes down, it's still breathtaking. The service is attentive, and everyone is very friendly. In conclusion, I highly recommend stopping by; you won't be disappointed.
